In the dawn of morrows beach standing awed, gazing teary eyed from the departing shore watching intensely as her vessel disappears into the cloudless horizon where the water meets the sky and in an instant she slips from view. Those left behind holding fast to the love, keeping precious memories alive in turn bolstering her sails forward.
While others gathered on the receiving shore rejoice in hymnal celebration with distinct clarity singing "Praise to our loving and merciful God here she comes, home, home at last".
The struggle to go and wanting to stay wane no more.
The long journey has just begun, those who loved her on earth without her and hers in eternal grace. Her life in perfect heaven with body, soul and joy renewed as earthly life is humbled in void of her warmth, gentle soft kind voice, presence and touch.
In heaven, another angel moving freely as in youth celebrating in harmonious reunion with the Lord and other family members prior departed.
The love and compassion instilled in those left behind as those in heaven transcend time and place leaving the mission now and always to worship/ walk in faith, praise/ give thanks to God, share and pass it forward.
This just crept in... very beautiful music.

+Jacoba Merachoff My husband is a disabled American Veteran, and if I had known about Sarah Jarosz when he was on his flight to spend a year in Iraq to come home injured at the end, I would have been bawling my eyes out when I heard it. Even now, after the fact, I think of all of the troops who are leaving their loved ones to go far away to serve their country, and I cry when I hear this - it is on my exclusively Sarah Jarosz playlist! - as I think of how they must be feeling on that long, sad flight from home, not knowing if they even WILL be coming home. Army Wives producers made an excellent choice with this lovely song by a very talented young lady. I find it amazing that she started her career in her teen years, and sang beautifully then, even before she matured. In fact, some of my favorite songs to listen to on UA-cam are her older songs when she was still very young. Thank you for posting that it was on Army Wives... I don't watch that (too emotional for me!) so I couldn't have known otherwise!!!!

Thank you for posting this lovely song, and for including the lyrics. I discovered Sarah Jarosz about 4 months ago when I heard her on my local PBS station on a program called "The Transatlantic Sessions". When she sang "Annabelle Lee" I fell in love with her haunting voice and I knew I had found a very special new favorite singer! Since then I have listened to everything I can find of hers on UA-cam and I have all of her CD's on my Christmas list this year!! I have a playlist with just her songs on it, and I play it over and over. This is one of my favorites, along with Run Away, Ring Them Bells and Build Me up from Bones. She played very near my house on April 3rd this year, but I had front row (PBS - paid a fortune for meet and greet!) tickets to see Celtic Woman - I haven't missed them in Charlotte for the past 10 yrs and this was my first meet and greet opportunity - their show was on April 4th, and my husband said no way was he going to take me to both, so I missed my opportunity to see her perform live before she began her big tour with the girls. I kind of like her older stuff better, like with the trio - they are massively talented and they all sound so amazing together! But the "I'm With Her" songs are beautiful as well. It's just kind of a different style of music and I like the folk tunes she did when she was younger a little better. But however you serve up Sarah Jarosz, she is one of the best singer/songwriters to come along in a very long time, and I would pay to see her perform anything at this point! I have been sharing songs on FB with my friends to get them familiar with her, and I've asked them to share the songs with their friends. I'm trying to do my part to help bring the beauty of her music to many, many people so that they can find the joy that I have found when I listen to her sing and play all of the many instruments that she is proficient at! Again, thank you for sharing this song - one of her most beautiful.
Well Beverly, my husband is Active Duty Army and I am an Army Vet as well I could relate to this song because I felt that way when I came come from both deployments from Iraq and missing out on so much with my Two beautiful daughters!

My experience with Sarah is very similar to yours. Just discovered her during the stay at home order in our State. I found her while looking for music by Sarah Watkins, whom I followed years ago during her time with Nickel Creek. Like you I have searched out everything Sarah Jarosz has done and right now I have a hard time listening to anyone else. Truly she is a rare talent. Her songs and her performances will endure for years to come. If you haven’t seen it yet, check out the video of her concert at the Shewsbury Folk Festival, which is on UA-cam. Really outstanding!
