    Glad I Found this. My 9200 motor was really weak and the horrible plastic gear was slipping on the shaft as apparently they all do after you break it with a drill manually raising the POS.
    Just ordered a 9100 motor and thank you for doing a video. Subscribed. You fix things like I would.

      I didn't realize you could get 9100 motors and gear boxes.

      The 9100 does. The 9200 didn’t, but we are going to have to install one.

    Since you are retired I need a frame assembled, axels and all, floor built, front and side walls, roof, cabinets and all, appliances and wiring, lines and some new gas tanks. A title while at it. Figure maybe $140,000 for $60,000 in repairs for the project. How about it!

    It's interesting that lippert makes a motor that can be manually operated with a socket, but there motors are junk and have to be replaced way more than dometic, at least In my experience.

    I did one like that before Thanksgiving, a little challenging, not as hard as yours. But mine was a new fabric not sure it made a difference. He needs to clean his to. Good job

    Great job. That would suck not being able to bring your awning in manually. I guess just drill out the rivets and roll it in . Thanks Don

    • @hillbillyrv
      @hillbillyrv  Рік тому

      That would be the only way to do it on that one.

    simple answers are yes. if you take a 9100 rear spring assembly it will help it roll up way better

    I wish I saw this video when my 9200 gearbox went. Wanted to upgrade to the 9100 motor Assembly but wasn't sure if it will work.

    • @hillbillyrv
      @hillbillyrv  Рік тому

      Well there is some issues. 9200 doesn’t have the spring in the other end that the 9100 has. There might be another video where we make this upgrade.

    • @matthewbegin3462
      @matthewbegin3462 Рік тому

      @Hillbilly RV if someone came out with a repair kit for the gearbox on the 9200 motor I think it would be a big hit. Paid 300 for a new motor over a 2 dollar plastic gear.

  • @chasin70s
    @chasin70s 5 місяців тому +1

    So would you say the 9100 motor will work if you have the 9200 awning? is it a direct replacement?

    • @hillbillyrv
      @hillbillyrv  5 місяців тому

      If your awning does not have a spring in the other end, you will need to add a spring assemble also. Watch this follow-up video. I think it will explain it. And yes, I did give him credit for the motor we installed in this video. ua-cam.com/video/Gi9raX40qFM/v-deo.html

    I was about to suggest you get an electric rivet gun, or Cameron, then you pulled out the big gun. Honestly, if Cameron was there would you have let him use the small one? Had similar situation yesterday. Single handle cartridge in kitchen faucet blew and water in cabinet and on the floor. Can not remember what brand faucet it was. Finally got it out and went to buy the one “I thought it was”. Nope too big. Hound one that looked right and put it in. The position pins were smaller, but close enough for government work. Works great! Best wishes Kenny!
