    Hi Noel, thank you so much for the great reviews. Just got a bv2.. thing shreds! Easy to surf and great projection as you say. I had to notch out the tail pad to get it right back.. now it feels good! MRs are fast & loose with enough hold even in slightly overhead waves. Thank you again 🤙🏼

    Noel, as always great review and crazy stupid skills! looking for a board that goes right above the groveler... Can't decide between the FW No Brainer, Flat Earth and now the Chilli Black Vulture. Not sure how the Twin Tech durability compares to LFT or Helium or Chili's heavy duty epoxy glassing...??? Any input would be appreciated as always, thank you for doing these reviews, always learn more and more about surfing and surfboard tech!

    I moved from Santa Cruz CA to Florida in 2020. None of my NorCal boards suited Florida. I had planned to buy a rocket wide for New Smyrna and Sebastian Florida but pulled the trigger on the BV2 mostly after watching your video 20 times analyzing it over and over. Recently learned surf station in Saint Augustine Florida uses your videos.

    Got one a few months ago and completely agree, this is not a standard groveller, I’m personally using it as an everyday board. I also swapped out the twin 2+1 setups for a standard thruster and now surf it in everything with this set up. The board already had heaps of speed and didn’t need the twin set up

      The BV2 has a wider nose making it more of a hybrid design. The wider nose offers better paddling and more stability under your front foot. The Wide point might be bit forward on the BV2 which enhances carving. The UD has a performance board outline and it will offer sharper/tighter turns in the pocket compared to the BV2. In my opinion the BV2 is considerably faster compared to the UD and the BV2 is easier to shred.

      The BV2 is versatile in Wave range great in 1-6’ surf with emphasis in 2-5’ surf. The No Brainer is really made for small mushy waves as it has very low rocker and struggles steep hollow waves. The BV2 shreds compared to the NB… no contest really.

    Hi Noel, a fantastic review and beautiful surfing!
    We surf in Israel- the waves are usually week short period and mushy. Sometimes we get good overhead waves.
    Can you advise- what are the main differences between the FireWire Dominator 2 to the Chilli BV2?
    I tried to search for an option to order a custom Dominator 2 with a small swallow tail as I like the hold and feel of a swallow but couldn’t find. Then you came with this Chilli BV2 review and it looks great.
    Thanks!

    • @surfnshowreviews7777
      @surfnshowreviews7777  3 роки тому +3

      The BV2 offers more speed due to a wider nose and less rocker. It paddles better and shred small mushy waves better too with a Twin + Trailer set up. The Dominator 2 offers a little more high performance surfing in the pocket due to more rocker and it sleeker outline… however no customs available with Fire Wire. Go BV2

    • @surfnshowreviews7777
      @surfnshowreviews7777  3 роки тому +6

      Not really… The SpineTek actually has a spine (piece of material that feels similar to plastic) routed into the deck of the board for strength and quick rebound. These two technologies feel completely different from each other. They both feel good though… I’m a huge fan of EPS/Epoxy constructions for boards that are meant to excel in 1-5’ surf.

    • @surfnshowreviews7777
      @surfnshowreviews7777  Рік тому

      The BV2 is way faster due to it having less overall rocker. So it shreds smaller waves better… speed is king for smaller waves.

      Get the BV2 for smaller waves. Then get a small wave performance board to compliment the BV2 like the Rocket Wide Squash Tail, The Medina, Uber Driver, Mini Ghost Round Tail. Any of these boards go good in 3-6’ surf.

      Got the Power Twins so far “killer” got the traction an hold on the bigger surf with shape without sacrificing speed with the thruster . If the wave gets soft and mushy I just throw the MR’s back in ! Thanks Noel

    • @surfnshowreviews7777

      You will get a bit more down the line speed, pivot, and release with a rounded square tail compared to a swallow tail. The Swallow will offer more hold and traction through turns

      The BV2 is faster and more user friendly compared to UD XL. The UD XL will offer a little more high performance turns in the pocket due to its sleeker performance outline. The BV2 has a wider nose but it has more glide, and flies through flat spots. I highly recommend the BV2 with a Twin + Trailer set up.
