As desperate as we are to hold on to Marilyn, something about this feels wrong. She was an intensely private person who probably reluctantly had to come to terms with the fact that she belonged to world but some things should remain private and handled with the utmost care. After all, there is clearly still a public interest in these stars and the lives they led, even in some cases many decades later.
