This totally works! After watching this video, I put elastic in two pairs of my pants, one jeans and one dress slacks. No belts needed anymore!!! Thanks so much ❤
Awesome! Thanks for this clear tutorial! I've got se junk in the trunk, and a disproportionately narrow waist. Never have I EVER found a pair of jeans that fits me. But I decided to stop the endless search for a pair that does, and just make them fit! Thank you!
Yay! I’m so glad this was helpful!! Lol at “se junk” I feel ya girl! If you want to check it out I also have a video on some jeans I found that cater to the small waist larger hips ua-cam.com/video/Xk3XBgEGodI/v-deo.html
Thanks!! I hope that this hack solves the problem I have with bloating/pain and pants. I bought (non-denim) pants that are way too loose on the waist. That way I can have them narrowed down in the AM, and loosen them up in the PM when the bloating starts. This could be a lifesaver!
This is way better than most hacks out there!!..i have three jeans that are brand new in my closet that have not been worn because i don't want to use a shoe lace and don't know how to sew 😭. But this was helpful and easy. I will be doing this Thank you!😊
I bought elastic just to do this. I can fit my fists in the gap 😩 If you masking tape the end of the elastic to something slim like a chopstick, crochet hook, or eyeliner brush and shove that through the hole, it's really easy to thread through. That's how I get drawstrings back through hoodies and joggers.
I have a gigantic metal yarn needle, with an eye that can easily be thread through the elastic, and then be thread through the inside of the waistband.
Great question! I’ve actually never tried this method on anything other than denim so I can’t give a concrete answer sadly! 🤔 I would think so, especially if the gap isn’t too huge, but don’t know for certain!
Hey girl - oh nooo I'm sorry that it didn't work out for you!!! I think that if the gap is far too big, it would unfortunately end up looking too scrunched because the elastic is naturally going to make the denim scrunched up. The tighter you pull the elastic the more scrunched it will look - so I made sure I didn't button it too tight. I've only tried this on pants where the gap is just slightly big, and it's worked really well - it's good to know this might not be the solution if the gap is really big. :/

I've been searching for this method instead of sewing in or using a shoe lace. Thank you 😊.
I’m so glad!!
Thanks for making this so concise and easy to follow✨

Yay I’m so glad ☺️
Absolutely brilliant!!
It's good because i can adjust ot to my taste. If I'm bloated or eating i can unbutton the elastic and if I'm not i can button it up
Thank You!
Super easy!❤
Thanks for the video, short and simple 🥰 gonna try this on my jeans and shorts
Yay!
thankyou!! so easy to understand as a beginner!
Thanks for showing us your video. Now I know how to do it.
Love this! Perfect solution.
Thanks A lot!! Most easiest/quick method to downsizing! ❤️
Yay! Thank you for watching!
Great hack ❤️🔥 Instead of the safety pin, I used a cloth peg to thread the elastic through ☺️
Oo nice! That’s a good alternative!
Perfect! Will try this asap
Nifty! Thanks for sharing, Molade.
Keilah thank you for watching!! 💖
@@MoTheCrown You're welcome.
Awesome video ! It works thank you so much ma'am ❤️✨
I'm about to try this
Thank you for this!!!
Aw glad it was helpful!
I use a safety pin attach it to the end of the elastic then treadle the elastic through its easier to treadle by holding onto the safety pin
Awesome video! Thanks!
Thank you for watching!!

Can I use this method on Afrian fabric (ankara) ?

@@MoTheCrown Thank you so much .
Will it work on a skirt?
I just did this and I think my gap was too big and it looks all scrunched up so idk
