Ok to anyone confused
1.try on jeans put them on inside out pinch and pin evenly on both sides
2. Mark your new seams and cut
3. Seam rip a little off the waistband to make it easier to ease the new seam into it
4. Match the waistband right sides together and sew
5. Finish raw edges with zigzag stitch or serger
6. Sew up the new seam easing it into the new waistband
7. Top stitch the waistband
Try on new Jean's and do a happy dance

Girls, just make sure you can do a squat or sit propperly before cut and sew, even if your jeans are a bit stretch.
Future tip. Turn the pants in side out then you can sew the side seams with a lot more ease and accuracy. 🌷

I also think that it's much more easier that way than Cutting directly like that and sew it will just going to be smaller than the target measure you want

Some tips :>
pin the pants inside out so you just sew where you placed the pins and also seam-rip the waistband all around except where the zipper and button are after removing the belt loops (and before sewing the sides) so you dont have to cut and sew both sides of the waistband, just one.
If you need to take in more but don't have enough space with the front and back pockets you can seam rip the middle butt seam, take it in just like the sides, and double stitch it back up just like it was.

If your problem is that the jeans don’t fit in the waist try putting a piece of elastic in the back of the jeans like they have in kids jeans!! Super easy! Haley’s Corner did a video where she did just that. It was a thrift flip video but I’m not sure which one 🤷♀️

This is just what I needed, I've gone down from a size 8 to a size 0-2 over the past 2 years and now most of my pants are way too big on my waist, i'll def. try this out!

@@victoriagodinez9687 Hey, I achieved that by consistently working out 6 days a week, with plenty of Hiit to get that heartbeat up and burn the initial fat and then different stuff like legs/booty/abs, etc.. If I don't have a lot of time I do a 10-minute workout to do something, and if I have time I do between 25-45minutes (depending on my mood lol). Edit: I also walk a lot, with my dog or get of off the bus a bus stop earlier.
As for my food i started eating plant-based, which isn't necessary but do try to get in a lot of fiber because that fills you up. Like eating porridge in the morning for example or some falafel for dinner. Very tasty but very filling too. ALSO and this is the most important thing, don't stress about achieving your goal, allow yourself to have what you want, maybe through a cheat day, I have one once a week where I usually eat a big plant-based burger and some chocolate because my body is craving it 😌
I hope you achieve your goal, just remember it takes time and different things work for different people. ❤️
P.S. I usually do workouts by Chloe Ting, MadFit, Pamela Reif and Natacha Oceane. That way it doesn't get boring.

My needle break when i sew jeans
There are needles specifically for denim
For denim you need to use a needle number 16 or 18

Sewing jeans without a machine is basically impossible because jean material is so thick. You can do it by hand too but it won't be very sustainable
I did it by hand, you just need a thick needle and heavy-duty thread. I didn't find it that hard though.

not all jeans have the same type of stitch at the waist band- so make sure that you can cute both at the top and bottom of the waistband- I didn’t realize this and I just ruined my favorite jeans 😔

@@AnetteAguirre Limited Too is an American brand that many young girls (tween/preteen & younger) wore throughout the late 90s & early 2000s. It's a very nostalgic brand for those in their 20s now! And they sold fairly good quality, cutesy clothes!
Now, the brand is still around selling clothes for the same audience but at a lower price point & goes by the 'Justice' since 2009.

Usually I buy my jeans off of asos since they have "unusual" sizes and a tall section. I need my inseam to be 36" and my waist to be 29" so I feel your pain :)

I got these gorgeous men's dark denim jeans from the thrift store a while back. They were pretty huge, considering I could fit my entire arm as well as my body in them, but I just tightened the waist with a belt and wore them anyway. I was a bit scared that I was going to ruin my jeans, but followed your tutorial anyway, and sewed everything by hand, and they came out amazing! They fit me perfectly now and I'm kind of mad I didn't do it earlier. Thank you!

if you’re looking for a way to do this without immediately cutting (trial and error y’all!) You could sew darts instead, and then cut the excess fabric off when you’re happy with sizing!

@@MissLilCuteTea Mom jeans are usually high waisted and sort of loose, but cut like women's jeans usually are, with some curve to the leg. Boyfriend Jeans are styled like Men's jeans, so they're straight from the waist to the ankle and are usually pretty baggy.

I'm curious is there a reason you didn't just pin them while wearing them inside out and then just sew a line, remove the pins and trim the excess? That's not a rhetorical question, I really would love to know more!

I would (personally) definitely pin them inside out for the first bit, but I wouldn't leave out the part where you unpick the waistband and downsize that seperately. if you try to just fold the waistband bit and sew, it'll be bulky and uncomfortable.

I was seven minutes into this video before I realized the jeans were from limited too. LOL! Throwback.

I was very into loose/comfy jeans (kinda like mom jeans) back when every single person on the planet was wearing superskinny-jeans (and ofc that was the only kind available in shops), so I had to buy them like 3/4 sizes bigger than mine in order to make them fit the way I wanted them to. Then I also lost a little weight on top of that and I really don't know how to wear them anymore, they literally will fall to my feet without a very tight belt.
Now I now what to do 😈
Sometimes you can temporarily fold the waistline in on itself like how she does in the beginning. Then safety pin it & wear a very tight belt. Not the best option but works in a pinch or if you are lazy to sew like me. My problem with big jeans is that the crotch area can get camel toe or looks funky. Not sure how to fix!
