- No kitchen is just for cooking. There’s no better place to vent, celebrate, or simply catch up about the events of the day than near snacks. “My grandmother had a dining table in the middle of her kitchen, and we sat there for hours and experienced life together,” recalls designer Stephanie Sabbe of Sabbe Interior Design in Nashville.

I love this! My grandma also had a table in her kitchen. Such good memories of her circling around and always making good food for us. I want a dirty kitchen such a good idea! This designer understood this house and who may choose to live here.
My favorite space so far. So cozy. A dining table in the kitchen is a very traditional. That’s a kitchen you where you can hang out and cook with grandma all day.
Ps. The eggplant color would’ve been beautiful, too ;)
It cracks me up that they disagreed about losing the island in such a huge kitchen.
Love this!! Hallelujah for a kitchen table in a kitchen!!! And that transom with side panels is brilliant! Luv her ❤️
I literally came accross this video just as I was starting to build my new home. The kitchen is the most important room in my house and THIS VIDEO HAS BEEN MY OBSESSION. I decide to use the dining table i grew up with as my kitchen table. THANK YOU FOR THE INSPIRATION.
I adore this kitchen so very much and this design is precious along with the designer .Precious just precious .
I love mixing old and new and it was well done in this space.
Absolutely beautiful! This space makes me happy.❤
Aubergine would've looked great but I also like the bright and airiness of this colour
Okay. I love this kitchen and all of the household work spaces….but can we please acknowledge that the family that can afford these kinds of spaces are going to have household help…a regular housekeeper at the very least, if not a live in. So I appreciate how useful the spaces are for the people that will work for this imaginary family.
We need a full walk through of the kitchen. There's not enough span through. That is a huge kitchen area. A dining table is more practical since there's a lot of other storage and counterspace around. The dirty kitchen is what we asian have as a wet kitchen I think, but usually there would also be a functional cooking stove there.
if you could linger on the actual interior for as long as you linger on the designers that would be great ...
haha love that!
I love the green cabinet. I understand her wanting to do something different but she should have kept the island and just do one of those island with attached table. Because everything will just end up on the table and you’ll be missing that large counter space. But other that that its a beautiful kitchen.
Love the other rooms. It makes me happy to see color these days.
Grandma chic is definitely what it's giving. I'd interested to know what the kitchen would look like without the furniture. How transitional could this space be if all permanent fixtures remain in place?
Like 1 wow that looks delicious and very tasty thanks for sharing my dear friend have a wonderful day 👍👍👍👍👈👏👏👌👌👌
This is the 5th time I've watched this one. It's my fav!
I would totally hire Stephanie; she's brilliant and adorable. The builder is stuck in the past - the kitchen, awesome as it is, would have been DYNAMIC in aubergine. I guess he forgot that he is the craftsman and NOT the designer. No one wants open concept living (it was never a good idea) and kitchen islands anymore. And he doesn't like YELLOW?! Thanks; I want to live in her world.
It is gorgeous, but the kitchen is maximized for beauty rather than function. A cook would need to walk a lot between the kitchen stations; fridge, sink, stove. Also, there is not much countertop next to stovetop for cooking. I'd rather have smaller kitchen and consider a walk in pantry.
yeah, that was my thot too
Fun Fun Fun!
She is a spitfire and stuck to her guns!!...so out of the box! She definitely has a talent for that "granny chic" and it's not for everyone. But Wow such talent! those sconces.......that's why it's so important to be involved in details of lighting placement and BE THERE! don't ever feel like your "bothering" the builder or subs. It's OUR money and OUR house. Be involved! That oops would definitely have to be fixed at my house. Who puts lights up THAT high.
I love the colors but I feel like real zones are missing. I do like the table tho!
That wall paper is cut-troat.
Sorry I hung up on you.. 🤣🤣🤣❤️❤️
Very smart looking kitchen. You can prep food w/ the family @ that big sturdy table. But please never work with that builder again. He thinks he's a designer.
why are they talking like that? The sounded like Kristen Wiig's snl character Penelope
I love the laundry room but everything else NO!
Alll the designers design how they dress
