- A room that accommodates movie nights and Spades tournaments is bound to be buzzing in the wee hours, so you’d be wise to prepare for on-site sleepovers. Wife-and-husband duo Heather and Matt French, of Santa Fe’s French & French Interiors, splashed the media room in our 2021 Whole Home with bold pattern, dramatic color, and tons of texture, then crowned the design with a curtained trundle bed for drifting off into dreamland.

I love the juxtaposition of moody colors and tones with whimisical fabrics. While l don't personally like alot of bright colors in my interiors, I do appreciate it in this space.

This is by far one of my favourite rooms in this house! I love the colours, the patterns and the GREEN! I usually go for more neutral tones, but this was surely an inspiration to add more COLOR to my home! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

It’s a no from me, practically I certainly wouldn’t want a media room like that and it’s not to my taste, but I appreciate them doing a different look and I’d be interested in seeing what else they’ve done.

This is where we gather to watch the fights or the game? This is where Grandpa puts his feet up and falls asleep? You can’t even eat in here. And that boucle sofa is the antithesis of Netflix and chill. It looks like it belongs in a Parisian cathouse.

I LOVE these colorful designs that really make this home full of personality and interesting elements. In fact, I love watching this design series so much. I just wish none of the videos included the Debbie Downer interviews with the builder Tyler. He hates colorful rooms and he really hates any design changes. Why did you include him when all he ever does is complain, argue, whine and resist anything eclectic? In fact, if the home decor was left up to him all the walls would be white and the furniture would be boring beige. I'm such he's a very talented builder, but he knows nothing about innovative interior design or home decor. I literally fast-forward his segments because he's just such a negative presence in all the videos in this series. Maybe you should just give him his own show where he can talk about his building expertise, and leave him out of this series altogether?
