Good stuff mate ,,,,must admit I'm surprised no exit ....mind you I've never used simpleshot,,,I'm a fully converted to .7 snipersling . All the best to ya 💥🍺
Thanks bro ! Yes I usually don’t get any penetration on them with .5 bands and 3/8 steel. I have to hit it twice or three times on the same spot to penetrate it. Thanks for watching brother 👊🏻💥
Hey brother sorry for late reply, for some reason your comment did not appear on my notifications. Yes I cut my own bands I personally like 22mm to 12mm. Thanks for stopping by 🙏👊
Did you say "A 10 mm lead ball at 9.5 grams"? I shoot an identical setup including band brand, thickness, taper and an active length of six inches. I'm very surprised! your ammo is almost three times the weight of 9.5 mm steel bearings (my standard ammo) Good to know, thanks much! 👍
Hey 👋 thanks for stopping by, 🙏🏻 actually I had to correct that, I inserted a text in the bottom of the screen the weight is 5.9g. I am so used of saying 9.5mm steel that I mixed up the #s lol 😅. I appreciate the comment 👊🏻💥
@@k.o.skeeponshooting235 oh ok, a hair heavier than 7/16 steel, but with the additional bell ringing ability of lead. I've been considering going the opposite direction. The majority of my shooting is target. I'm more accurate with lighter bands and light ammo gives me better distance. It lacks impact of course, but not a concern with target shooting. Birds are my best choice for game. They don't need a really hard whack, but they can be up high in a tree where distance is useful. I was thinking of trying some of the simple 0.5 mm and 8 mm steel. You would certainly still get the added benefit from lead at the same 2 grams-ish as 8 mm. I've been eyeballing the simple shot 0.5mm, I just need some spare cash. 😉
@@forksandspoons7272 I’ve tried the simple shot .5 and it works great. You can’t go wrong with it. Also I recommend the sniper sling super fast latex. The elasticity feels phenomenal, really stretchy stuff sends 8mm flying, great speeds.
@@k.o.skeeponshooting235 Ok, I'm convinced. Next payday I'll order some. I've also found 0.7mm straight cut in 16mm, 18 and 20 can toss 9.5 mm, but they have a relatively light draw. I haven't tried them with lighter ammo. I like straight cut because I can cut them a bit long and bundle up the extra under the wraps at the fork end. I have extra if they fail and I can fix them. The stress is evenly distributed on straight cuts, they live longer. If you get a knick in the edge you can trim them down and get more milage out of them. When I'm doing a lot of shooting, I make myself some straight cuts. 😉
Bands looks good and durable very nice mate good shot💪👍

@@forksandspoons7272 100% agree, straight cuts last twice as long and perfect for target practice. I do straights when I’m running low on rubber also.
