Locking strat saddles ingenious idea
I'm always interested how something is made. So Henning, if you can manage to visit Trevor and make a video I would be very thankful.
At the last NAMM show I talked to Trevor and asked about the bridge on my Yamaha Pac 612 and if there would be locking saddles for that bridge. He told me the bridge model and that yes there would be locking saddles coming in the near future. I wrote it all down but lost the paper, dag-nab-it. Anyway, Trevor was very nice and I'm looking forward to an improved bridge. (OK, I might end up getting a full bridge because the arm on mine doesn't seem to secure well enough to not pull out on upward pulls. I tighten it with the little Allen screw but it won't tighten enough.)
I would find the mark that the grubscrew makes on the bar stem, then file a Shallow groove around the bar at that point.
When you then tighten the grubscrew it will sit In that groove.
That should stop it pulling out.
Ever since I saw the video on Peter Thorn’s video I’ve been wanting a set of these saddles and can’t ever find them in stock.
I had these saddles for a couple of years already, and they do really work pretty well!

This is awesome! I love that he's been out doing interviews, very charming fellow. I got a full VS-100N system for $100 USD on stewmac and installed it in my harley benton ST swamp ash, works amazingly after I did a bit of sanding in the cavity to make it fit well. So much smoother than the vintage saddle on my fender. I definitely want a WT3 tele bridge as well.
I would LOVE to see a video from Trev's brain cave!!!! I love hearing from the old fellas. They've got so much insight from all of their years of experience. Any chance you could get him to do a brief history on the brand? I've been a big fan of his hardware for quite a long time, but know very little about the history of the company, would love to know how it all started!

Fantastic, If you can get them, Just buy them, I own two sets and they have trasformed my G&L, And my Fender strat, They both keep in perfect tune. I would also recomend good quality Locking Tuners as well.
If you are still going to his shop, please ask him to reissue the 6 screw version of the VS-100 (with the long knife). It was such a great idea and fitted every strat like guitar no matter the original screw spacing.

I’ve got 2 sets of the wls-130 saddles - one on a Suhr Custom and one on a Fender Strat. They are wonderful. I’ll get another set once they come back into stock ;)

I have the WLS130's on my Charvel DK22 SSS. It has made the tuning stability on par with a Floyd rose and I now love the guitar to bits since it no longer goes out of tune when you use the trem! Absolutely fantastic product, do recommend!

Those saddles are excellent but they don't sound like vintage bent steel ones.
So I woke up at 7AM Monday morning (3/13/2023) went to the Wilkinson site where of course I would be nearly first in line and ...SOLD OUT !!! The only thing missing was a comment under the SOLD OUT sign that should read "Have a nice day Asshole"

Other Wilkinson's great invention is convertible arm. I hope one day it will be offered as an addition to standard trem.

Disclaimer AMAZON EXISTS, I recently have gotten into Wilkinson pickups, stuck a hot rail set into my strat that cost $50.00 for the set of 3, it would have cost me twice that for 1 Dimarzio. Sounds great! From there I put a gold Wilkinson Bridge (NOT THE ONE TREVOR AND HENNING ARE TALKING ABOUT) on it, works great! Cost less than $30.00! Get over it, I didn't blow hundreds and I am happy, tough titty.
Regarding the prices you stated... Hmmm... (( What's the OPPOSITE of Truth ?)) ONLY IF- Someone broke into a music store, & was selling to "fix" their Drug addiction would you get that pricing. PERIOD. [ With all due respect, & Adhering to ALL community guidlines ]
There's a reason the Dimarzio is twice that for 1. I found that out when I replaced all of my Wilkinson pickups with Fender AVRI pickups. They blow the Wilkinsons away

@@J.C... My Strat is a stewmac Kit that came with crappy single coils, the Wilkinson pickups are an improvement regardless of what you think. I never said your experience was anything and that is all your opinion, at the time the Wilkinson's were half the price of one Dimarzio hot rail on Amazon. I Think I got a good deal and I am happy with the pickups, that's none of your business and if you don't like it, that's your problem. I am glad you like your pickups more than mine, I will stick with my $50 set and you can stick with your $350 set.
