One thing that was valuable to me in my sales career was learning that the best time to make a sale is right after you've just made a sale. I'm sure you can relate to that. You're so pumped at that point, filled with positive energy, it's much easier to make that next sale. I always worked to make that initial sale, so it would make it easier to make following sales.
I am in my late 40's and about to start my own business after 16 years of corporate life. Although I am frightened to the core, your videos have given me so much encouragement. Thanks for all your help!
At the time I watched this, I was really out of momentum but here’s the game changer for me The magic to momentum is attention And key is to make is intentional on every matters that is important to you I love Pat, Mentor from thousands of miles away.
When you have reached your business goals, you need to keep giving it attention or else you'll lose motivation. You must continue to give attention to different aspects of your life. This will keep you motivated! Thanks Patrick!
Key Takeaways: 1. Everything in Life Needs Attention. Success in any area, whether business, health, or relationships, requires continuous attention. When attention fades, so does progress and momentum. 2. Intentional Attention vs. Passive Attention. Intentional attention means engaging with purpose. For example, spending quality time with family or focusing deeply on workouts leads to meaningful results, unlike passive, unfocused actions. 3. Reviving Momentum Through Focus. If you’ve lost momentum, analyze where your attention has shifted and intentionally refocus on neglected areas. Consistent, focused effort is key to regaining momentum. 4. Challenge: Be Intentional About Attention. Regularly assess and dedicate intentional attention to what matters in your life to sustain long-term progress and success.
Hey, Pat. Look, I started a mobile detailing business and for months I've tried everything I could to get my brand out there. I put up signs, tried Facebook, Craigslist, flyers, telling people what I do and giving them my business card. None of it would work. The only thing that would work was when a friend would tell someone of my services. That's when a person would call me. So I learned that the only way to get people to call me was to position myself in an area where it would be difficult for someone to say "no" and where "word-of-mouth" would set my brand off. I'm now washing cars at my local barber shop and because I do the job so well the owner want me to wash cars at another location that he's setting up. God is good and business is finally thriving. The thing that kept me going in the midst of no profit and no returns was faith in God's promises and your videos. Thank-you for being one of the few business people that aren't insecure to the point where you want to keep other business people down to keep themselves up.
Dear Mr. Patrick, I have been following you and watching your videos. Thanks for all the sharing. Sometimes when I lose the drive and direction in life, your video on successful entrepreneur gives me the inspiration to be persistent and resilient. The part where you mentioned on the constant battle between rejections from others and one's will to be resilient and never gives up on our set goal, really empowers my belief that I am on the right track. Notwithstanding I think of quitting everyday at work but I know I have to take it head on and rise above the challenges as those challenges shall serve to be the lessons and wisdom in self improvement. All of us recognize that challenges are the opportunities to grow but unfortunately at the same time we also feel intimidated by challenges. A positive mentality and a voice believing that "you can", is all the little push we need to keep moving.
Lifting Motivation Pay attention, it does not mean "not spending time at gym", it means "not to waste time Fooling around", when you're at gym, you're with a purpose, not cruising.
Attention is a discipline that constantly need to be fed if we want the result we wish.I totally agree with you regarding about ''intentional attention''. Excellent lesson!!
Amazing straight to the point, easy to understand and down to earth message. I'm going to be deliberate and intentional about giving attention to area of my life that I had lost momentum. Thanks Pat!
You are the best sir, I'm 22 and I just recently graduated from college. I will pursue the path of entrepreneurship even though it's truly hard. Thank you for just being there sir, you are one of those business mentors who truly fuels my life as an entrepreneur.
Thank you for every minute you put in to a this way of life where all we do is look for ways to greatness and success in all areas. you are a great mentor. God bless you Pad.
Awesome advice pat, thank you! I know there are areas of my life I feel like I'm doing well in and I tend to pull my focus away from it in favor of other things. I think this also speak to what you talked about in the video about criticisms that entrepreneurs receive. Sometimes the complaints come because you aren't giving the right amount of attention to other areas of life. This is my mission for the week, evaluate how much attention I'm give to different areas of my life and whether that amount is appropriate.
+Drew Greene True. Very few pay attention. Most are just hoping to make it as an Entrepreneur when in reality the business needs much more than just hope.
This is literally happening with me and my girlfriend, she is ready to call it quits just weeks away from our 5th yr anniversary, but I don't want to lose her. I'll try to keep these words of wisdom with me during the next upcoming weeks. Thank you Patrick
you know, usually when I see these types of videos on UA-cam I would thumbs down after watching for 5 minute and deeming it bullshit as with most motivation/FINANCIAL related videos but after browsing through a couple of your videos, you have proven to be speaking from a frank perspective with logical and sound advise. SUBCRIBED.
Patrick can you please create a video for relationship tips you can give ? Based on your experience It's a huge challenge for me now an I'm looking for good content like yours
Sometimes there's other things in the mix .......some people are threatened by partners that want to grow. I love to be positive......that's why I look for the best in people, but sometimes you trust the wrong people too much. Big lesson in taking responsibility and not letting others control you.
I find myself reciting these words, when i realize, that i slacked off in some aspect of my life. This should all be common sense, but sometimes people just get lost in the day to day.
I've heard this explained differently before, but I've never heard it simplified in 4 mins the way you just did. The marriage analogy was perfect. In fact tonight me and my wife were supposed to have a date night tonight but the kids kinda got in the way… We're going out tomorrow instead lol. Thank you
How do you give everything that is important in your life enough attention to keep momentum going without stretching yourself too thin? I feel like everything needs my attention, but I never seem to be able to get to it all and I end up burned out...
In this world there exists force. You'll need to constantly battle the forces of friction that work against you in order to maintain the same momentum.
I feel like only the small things can gain momentum by intentional attention and by small things I mean things that come easy to you where you can just direct attention toward and you'll be back on track... So I feel the real question is, what about when their is no motivation to give it attention? *You can take the question however you want.
Yes that makes sense. That's what I was thinking... Sorry that was a weird question maybe I was subconsciously putting that out there more for me lol. Thanks nonetheless, I've learned some things from you. Keep up the good work and God bless
Smart logic. If you "wing" something it will not always go in your favor. You have to nurture your responsibilities. Thank you Patrick for the content you share.
That's really insightful. I just watched your video on habits and I think they could be a really useful tool in order to sustain at least some of the momentum that you've gained. Do you agree? If not, can you recommend other tips or tricks how not to lose momentum?
Thank you for this lesson. I might have to run a marathon on your channel haha :D Your knowledge of business and life in general is both mind blowing and inspiring for me and for others as well. :)
