To fill in wood cracks that you're going to paint over (the patch won't stain so painting over it is ideal for this method), sand your project to get some sawdust. Pack the collected sawdust into your crack or imperfection. Put superglue on the sawdust, make sure to soak all of the sawdust & let it dry. Sand the imperfection & pack it again in any area that isn't sticking just above the rest of the project. Put your last superglue coat on over the sawdust & let that coat dry. Finish by sanding the patch flush to blend it in to your project. Then you're ready to paint with no visible cracks or imperfections. I always keep a little jar of sawdust (for use in projects I'm going to paint because then it doesn't matter what color the sawdust is as it won't hold stain or oil very well) just so I only have to lightly sand any project & so the patching part takes about 3-5 minutes total. You can tape off corners, making a tape boarder similar to how an epoxy boarder is made & use this method to fix a jacked up corner on a project as well.
I was never really interested in art channels until I found Moriah Elizabeth. She makes art fun and not boring; she has fun and shows the fun to us by joking around and saying she doesn’t do the art if she doesn’t think it’ll be fun. I’d love to see you do a “does gesso actually work” type of video. Paint gesso in one spot and white paint in another as well as leaving a spot blank and painting over them! On things like fabric, really textured wood, an actual canvas, all sorts of things! And then compare the brightness and saturation and texture, maybe try to scrape it up a bit or something to do a quick wear test!
if ive gathered anything through binge watching her videos is that the constant thing is the love hate relationship with gesso. it does nothing, but we use it anyways, because it may do something? but it helps, if it works!

Two this must be very stressful for Moriah. Three were all done see hundreds of these comments. This impresses me the most so far. As someone raised to love wood grain, this is not the wood grain I was raised to love and your painted work transforms the character of the shelf. It's clunkily made and over-sentimental and that's not any special wood where the grain or colour is worth celebrating. Changing it in the way you do brings it from a silly cottage craft to the sort of cartoon exaggeration look in a plastic colour scheme that would be happy in a lot of animation styles loved by kids and adults alike.

Two this must be very stressful for Moriah. Three were all done see hundreds of these comments. Four bot pick up on comments that are posted a lot and sometimes there name of profile pic is inappropriate and we don’t want young kids to read or see that stuff. Five it’s the right thing to do, unless the UA-camr says it’s okay to spam there comment section then don’t do it! WHY WERE YOU UP AT 3 AM
This impresses me the most so far. As someone raised to love wood grain, this is not the wood grain I was raised to love and your painted work transforms the character of the shelf. It's clunkily made and over-sentimental and that's not any special wood where the grain or colour is worth celebrating. Changing it in the way you do brings it from a silly cottage craft to the sort of cartoon exaggeration look in a plastic colour scheme that would be happy in a lot of animation styles loved by kids and adults alike.
