- Hey guys! today I am going to be painting some old, crusty ornaments that I bought from a used lot on Ebay. I wanted to make some DIY ornaments, or find some way to create custom ornaments. There aren't too many options for paintable ornaments, so instead of looking for something pre-made, I decided to buy a bunch of used ornaments, fix them up and paint on those. I think this is a really fun idea if you are looking for christmas art projects or creative holiday activities to do. I'm sure you could also find a bunch of great options at thrift stores if you didn't want to buy a whole lot.
I had so much fun with this. It was really cool getting to put my own style on these ornaments. I would love to do more, how can I spin this to make it less Christmas specific? 😂 Painting on trinkets? Painting on keychains? idk LOL

Hey! my name is Moriah (pronounced muh-rye-yuh 😂 ) and this is my channel....obviously. I'm 25 and like doing anything creative...and being snarky.....just a lil. I make a lot of decorating, painting and general art videos here. I'm obsessed with editing and adding lil bits to my videos, so if that's not your thing....oof you may hate this haha. I paint on squishies, thrift store finds, and other random things I pick up. I also love to draw, but don't expect anything too skilled, I'm not the best at that haha. You will also find occasional crafting/testing crafting kits on my channel which are always a hot mess. And even some baking (REALLY bad at that, but it's fun to try LOL).

The thing I LOVE about moriah is that she can take ANYTHING and turn it into some so unique and so beautiful it really makes my day. About every day I watch about two hours of her by I love her. Love u moriah💕💕💕

So cute! I felt like all of the old crusty ornaments were the same sort of creepy-fuzzy style.
Every Christmas me and my big brother make harmony bead ordainments. While they are home made, they are still quite durable because my dad is a professional "ironer". He makes them pretty strong. We leave holes to attach string then put them on the tree. We sit by the fire and make them on our little wooden coffee table while my little cousins (who are only toddlers) shake the presents under the tree to try and guess what they are getting. All while my mum makes hot chocolate and s'mores for the entire family. My uncle and aunty will be making a pavlova and a fruit salad. My grandma and grandad are setting up the long dining table. My great uncle is making chocolate mousse. All so perfect and wholesome.

Okay, I collect old ornaments like many of these and didn't see too much wrong (aside from condition) with many of the ornaments in her box. I was pretty determined (at first) to hate what she did with them... but OMG! That BEAR! Now I'm eyeballing my messed up ones and thinking... with a little paint... LOL! Great job, but I would have stripped the flocking from them first, some hot water and an old toothbrush would do it. Then you'd have a nice smooth surface for your decorating. Great job! (Even if I do like the old ornaments the rest of the time!)
