- Hey! So today I wanted to try something a little different. I've been noticing several people trying "painting with wool" recently and I really wanted to take the chance to give it a try as well. Basically it is just needle felting, but on a flat surface. So you create this kind of fuzzy art piece that's really cool. I am a complete beginner with needle felting, but this was perfect for easing into it. This was a surprisingly easy art project to jump into and learn from scratch. Also, I had a lot of fun and ended up with some super cute little creations.

Hey! my name is Moriah (pronounced muh-rye-yuh 😂 ) and this is my channel....obviously. I'm 26 and like doing anything creative...and being snarky.....just a lil. I make a lot of decorating, painting and general art videos here. I'm obsessed with editing and adding lil bits to my videos, so if that's not your thing....oof you may hate this haha. I paint on squishies, thrift store finds, and other random things I pick up. I also love to draw, but don't expect anything too skilled, I'm not the best at that haha. You will also find occasional crafting/testing crafting kits on my channel which are always a hot mess. And even some baking (REALLY bad at that, but it's fun to try LOL).

I’ve done felt art before many time and every time you do it it will get stuck to the felting block/pad, no matter what you do it will still get stuck so Moriah,the wool getting stuck is very much common in wool art ,also, sometimes the wool only gets stuck a little bit when it is a small project and it is not that time consuming,if you are doing little things it takes about 20 minutes, big things take about1 hour , and huge things sometimes take days,listening to Moriah every time makes me feel appreciated and again very appreciative for the fact that Moriah is very kind to us treating us like family every time

My grandma used to be a artist and she used to “paint” with wool but she also made sculptures and she used to be a known artist where I live and people bought sculptures and “paintings” from her, she’s retired now but she has an entire room with sculptures and “paintings” and she even made a Elvis Presley sculpture, she made a lot of awesome stuff and even though she’s to old and sick to continue she’s still awesome and she has inspired me to do sculptures and I think it’s really fun, so seeing this video made me smile! Thanks✨💕

Moriah, at 8:55 the yellow needle is for making large holes in sculptures so you can put wires or eye pins in! the difference between a felting needle and a needle is felting needles have barbs, so they pull the fibers of wool to make tight pack items, the normal needles are smooth and no n barbed to make holes or dents! :)

Can we all just take a second to appreciate the fact that she did not go back and redo it at all, instead just let us look at her mistakes and go with it. Love how she makes sure to always show how it really was for her, instead of editing out any mistakes, and lets us know she's not perfect, unlike so many other UA-camrs

The kit you got was amazing! OK so there were no sheets of felt, but the kit wasn't for 2D, so why the complaints? If course you do need to protect your fingers to avoid blood! And pain! Needles need to go in and out in the same direction or they do break. However this was very entertaining. I got books, online guides and wanted to create 3D, but not perfect. I like perfect. But pictures, yes.
Anyone else want to see her paint an entire card set? It could be like a series and eventually, she'll have a whole deck!! she could paint a card at the end of every video! Copy so Moriah can see but try to be careful we don’t wanna force her! :)🌈

I really really think you should try out tradition needle felting to make little plushies, Moriah. It's actually not as time-consuming as you seem to think. When I first got into felting I was busting out 5-7 pieces a day.
Edit: Also, at 8:50 you're stabbing it with an awl, not the single needle. That's why it's "taking eight times as long to make any kind of progress" - you're not making progress, it's not a felting needle! 😂 The awl is in the kit to make holes for inserting eyes.
