I Believe this is a great way of talking about routes,only thing i'd say really is that since they're so similar in this game it might look like a bad first exemple,but it was fun and i't will surely show itself better in games with more drastic differences in route
I really enjoyed the real-time campaign switching. I feel like there’s no buffer between information and it’s a lot more refreshing than you going through the same details at two différent points in the video
This video shows just how short my attention span can be when playing games, because I thought the Aspergillium and the Necronomicon were a mop and the Bible when I played. I cannot read. Great review Trav! I agree with pretty much everything you've said about it.
The final fight is totally on par with Cthulu. Look upon him and go mad.

honestly? this game reminds me a LOT of blood, mainly the aesthetic of the game, very cool
They actually added an option to reset the skill tree by giving reset points and you get these depending on how well you do in a level. They also added a new game + mode and i don't usually play those but this one is absolutely amazing especially since they allow you to change certain mechanics of the game allowing you to become extremely op or other cool little nifty things like being able to change how frequently your character talks or maybe have the madness vision on permanently
I found that big ass machine gun in first act, so I believe there is several of them to collect during the entire game.
Man, Trav Guy, your jokes in this video are on point. Had a blast watching it. Also, I love the way you switch between the two characters (and thus, the two playthrough), makes it a lot clearer what the differences are.
I do prefer your previous way of showing routes but I feel confident that over these next 20 years it’ll grow on me
I'm liking this new style, maybe the only thing to adjust is frequency so that it doesn't swap over for a really short bit before going back. On the whole, great video.

Little fun fact: the name of the "Trockentod" rifle, which Trav had some problems pronouncing at 16:25, is German and literally translates to "Dry Death".I don't know why, but this detail fascinates me.

The constant switching isn't exactly BAD per se, but it's kinda...jarring. As I get invested with one character I suddenly whiplash to the next. But hey, you're the UA-cam Video Man. Do what ya want, I'll watch either way.
Yeah, I'll need to figure out a way to make it less jarring during the opening (where the swapping is the most frequent)
The reason cigarettes make you faster is presumably because nicotine is a stimulant while weed is a depressant
I was never questioning why it made you faster lol, I just thought that (on the surface) the IDEA of cigarettes being your final upgrade was kinda lame, but pays off after I learned it slows you down

This game’s soundtrack is criminally underrated! It has some of the most interesting takes on metal I’ve ever seen, adding sound motifs that give off this lovecraftian feeling and makes you ponder if the composer himself is going just as mad as the characters in the game are.
Great video! I was hoping for a summation of your feelings about the game at the end tho. Especially with a video this long. Otherwise great video please keep ‘em coming

Trav: Voice actings weak, confusing map design (the ONE BARREL), sometimes, the cigarette makes the game unplayable, Cthulhu telegraphs are confusing, etc.

i like the switching between the roles but i feel it still needs to be refined though if u can refine it enough it would work better than the "old" way if u r planning to switch to this

The flying nightmares definitely have a weak point you hadn't noticed, the wings, or at least aiming high on them. The best weapon I found in my Priest run to handle them in midair was the laser beam weapon. Melts em good n quick. Then of course, melt em a second time to avoid their second phase

I like the switching style, as long as the things you are switching between are similar. could work grate for a X review in my opinion.

On the subject of fun fast arena shooter things, have you tried Necromunda Hired Gun perchance? It's a really fun shooter set in the universe of Warhammer 40k. It's got everything you could want! Lots of sick guns, fluid and quick movement, a grappling hook, a dog, a bunch of things I think you'd enjoy ^^

You mentioned that you are going to do a video on the System Shock series. I played through both of them a few months ago and I’ve got some tips on getting them working properly. I would message you on actual social media, but I don’t have any.
System Shock 1 on Steam is a few patches behind the GoG version. There is a fan patch that brings it up to parity. The big issue: a recent GoG patch added Vulkan support as a driver, but it broke the other two options. It causes random crashes if you use the other drivers. I found that running Vulkan, GPU renderer, turning off anti-aliasing, and disabling enhanced voxels completely eliminated crashing. To be honest, not sure I needed to do those last two options. Some other things I did was go to the properties of sekhmet_x64.exe to disable Full Optimizations and add it to my firewall exceptions. After all that hard work, the game ran perfectly.
For System Shock 2, I would look up MandaloreGaming’s video on it. Not for the entertaining review but because he links a few non-obtrusive mods for it. Like the bug fix mod that fixes every bug due to the game’s rushed development.
