current CS fresher at Oxford - any advice for my application to these quant companies? I have received a few online assessments for spring weeks at some quants but I am mainly targeting internships next year.
I personally have always been really interested in coding and enjoyed the creativity involved on the technical side of trading, when it comes to designing the systems and tools used. Also I feel like I’m closer to the real-world impact of what I’m doing being a quantitative developer instead, it’s more tangible to me. You get the best of both worlds like this in my opinion, as you get to do as much research as you want and as much implementation as you want really. 😊

I have 40 hours a week 9 - 6pm too but its too long, 35 hours 9-5pm makes a big difference

Why didn't you choose quant researcher over quant developer?
