You can loosen the screw on the gear box back off the nut tighten the screw then tighten it up and some or all of the slack should be taken out of the steering box.it helps a bunch.
I've done that before on other ones and I tried it awhile back on this one, I couldn't get it any better... if you go in too far it makes the wheel where it hangs and you can't steer smoothly, I think what's going on is something other than that lash is worn out in it...
I had to put a new power steering pump on my Dodge RAM 3500, the whole pulley thing was a shock - I ended up borrowing a kit from my local Discount Auto Parts... what a pain in the arse!!!
i actually had a pulley come off for some damn reason and dont ask i have no idea it pressed on fine was actually hard to get on i thought for sure it wouldn't come off felt like it went pretty damn tight so now i put a bolt and washer on it too lol make sure to put anti seize if you do that but just extra precaution
The hose that was disconnected at the end of the video would've went to the front of the carburetor when it was new it's not necessary also I'm a new subscriber and I enjoyed the video
I really need an older van. It doesn't need to look good, just needs to run. I was thinking about a Ford E150 or club wagon XLT. Cargo van, 2 seatd is fine, or with the bench seats is fine. I sold my 89 Ford E250 back in 2006 for 400. It was rusting away because it was in Upstate New York and the snow and salt and acid rain eats vehicles up here in the mid Atlantic states If anyone has an older van that they are looking to get 500 or maybe 1000 for, I would pay for transport to me. I really need a wheelchair van, but I don't think I will get that lucky. An old conversion van, or even an old Itasca RV or one of those old RVs that were basically vans would be great. When I was in FL about 6 years ago, I saw a lot of RVs like this an conversion vans that were towed, impounded, and the owners didn't pay for them, so the town's auctioned them off or donated them to Salvation army and Goodwill, and they would auction them off Usually they sold for less than 1500 I really need a miracle Any help is appreciated Thank you Bill
lol by the time your done with this truck you would have built a whole new engine lol... jk,, its fun to see and learn some tips and what have ya... ty for sharing this with us...
Very big help. Can you share the belt size for the crank to power steering pump? Also, I noticed when you connected your a/c, it looks like you went around the water pump pulley. Is your water pump pulley the same size for both tracks?
Can i reuse the same pulley? I can’t find a new one. The 5.7 pulley I can find all day. I did find one for a 1997 c3500 1997 7.4l. I have the 1991 c3500 7.4l
Thats your vacuum cannister. You'll have vacuum lines running from your throttle body to that cannister. Enjoyed your video
You have to to be legal in the state of North Carolina
What is the part number for the pressure hose?
Don’t have no clue
