"Hey, hey what can i do" is a great song
Yes, it is a great song, definitely a top track by Led Zep, but I would not consider it a Deep Track due to its airplay over the years.
@@allornadaaccordingtojack7601 ok, in the USA. Here in Germany I never heard that song on the radio. It was only the backside from the single "Immigrant Song". I´m proud to have this one
Actually prefer the Hootie and the Blowfish version.
My deeps:
1. Tangerine
2. Tea for one
3. Dancing days
4. Ten years gone
5. Carouselmbra
Solid list
Five from the greatest album ever made by anybody. “Physical Graffiti” The Rover, In The Light, Night Flight, Custard Pie, The Wanton Song.
Yes, Captain Beyond, Physical Graffiti is on God's i pod......along with NOTHING ELSE! It's all you need to define rock and roll musicianship at it's zenith!
Treff Bennett Agree 100%!!
Captain Beyond. Sufficiently Breathless is a pretty great album too.
rubicon1983 So is their third and final album Dawn Explosion. But the debut is a masterpiece a true classic.
Captain Beyond Yep. I just purchased a vintage copy of their first album on vinyl with the original kaleidoscope-like cover. Amazingly good album
Staying away from the first 4 albums.
Here's what I got:
The Crunge (Houses of The Holy)
Down By The Seaside (Physical Graffiti)
Royal Orleans (Presence)
South Bound Saurez (In Through The Out Door)
Wearing and Tearing (Coda)
Nice. Those cuts are about as deep as it gets for Zeppelin. "South Bound Suarez" was one of my picks, too.
@@AbbeyRoadkill1 Absolutely. So far in this deep cut dive series, this was the one episode where I actually questioned if the artist profiled truly had any deep cuts. If many of these songs were not played on classic rock radio, not found on compilations, they were most likely played live at some point.
But, I also have to keep in mind the aim of this series: to try and get newbies who aren't familiar with these artists - as hard as it might be to believe, not *everyone* is familiar with Zeppelin - to discover some cool stuff.
Down and South are great fuckin jams. Great choices
Down by the seaside is a masterpiece
Led Zeppelin Deep cuts
Bron-Yr-Aur - Physical Graffitti
Out of tiles - LZ III
Tea for one - Presence
Hot Dog - In through the out door
Misty Mountain Hop LZ IV
Here are my five deep tracks (in no order)
Wanton Song
Royal Orleans
Carouselambra
Friends
Your Time Is Gonna Come
Rover (I threw in an extra one)
This is tough since so many of their songs are classics...
"Bring it on Home" from "Led Zeppelin II" (1969)
"Out on the Tiles" from "Led Zeppelin III" (1970)
"The Battle of Evermore" from "Led Zeppelin IV" (1971)
"Ten Years Gone" from "Physical Graffiti" (1975)
"Achilles Last Stand" from "Presence" (1976)
Bron-Y-Aur-Stomp
The Rover
In My Time Of Dying
Your Time Is Gonna Come
Carouselambra
Hot Dog
In The Light
Ten Years Gone
Friends
Bring It On Home
How Many More Times
You Shook Me
The Lemon Song
Carouselambra
I'm Gonna Crawl
Tangerine
Out On The Tiles
The Rain Song is not really a deep cut. Play it on the radio all the time. Either is Achilles (it's side 1, song 1). Or No Quarter. Agree with the rest.
Some deep, some not. Just the Top 10 LZ favs:
1. Out On The Tiles
2. Tangerine
3. Babe, I'm Gonna Leave You
4. The Rover
5. How Many More Times
6. In The Evening
7. Hots On For Nowhere
8. Carouselambra
9. The Crunge
10. Darlene
1. thats the way. One of the best acoustic songs ever.
2. what is and what should never be. So under rated.
3. Bron y aur stomp. Awesome uplifting tune.
4. Hey hey what can i do. Another under rated track.
5. Friends. Under rated tune.
Best band ever.
No Caroueselambra?
"Hey Hey What Can I Do" is probably the very deepest dive of LZ next to "Sugar Mama". Great choices!
The rover, tea for one, four sticks, poor Tom, battle of evermore are my picks....just pick a record and drop the needle. Can’t go wrong. 🎶🔥🥁👍 oh and can’t forget In my time of dying.
I love Poor Tom. Check out the John Fahey instrumental “Sunfllower River Blues.” I have a feeling Page may have been “inspired” by it!
I have always been a fan of the rover what a guitar sound
Thank You
That's the Way
The Ocean
Ten Years Gone
Night Flight
Royal Orleans
Fool in the Rain
~~That's the way~~
~~Carouselambra~~
Take a chill pill🤣🤣🤣🤣....but better yet, SQUEEZE MY LEMON🤣🤣🤣...Thanks Pete and Jack!!:)
1) in the light
2) night flight
3) bring it on home
4) tangerine
5) tea for one
5. Boogie with Stu
4. How Many More Times
3. Down By the Seaside
2. Out on the Tiles
1. In the Light
Yes OUT ON THE TILES!!!
I loooooooove Down by the Seaside. Also How Many More Times is not a deep cut...
@@Haxprocess Not a single, not a greatest hit, not on a live album.
@@independenceltd. They did play it live quite a bit early on, Jimmy Page had some sort of issue with his fingers, so they played this song instead of dazed and confused for sometime. I'd say it's "fan favorite" more than a deep cut (though a deep cut be a fan favorite)
Haxprocess I totally forgot about Down by the Seaside..great pick!!
A dozen and a half Zep 'scurities (fits on a single CD-R): What Is And What Should Never Be, Out On The Tiles, Tangerine, The Battle Of Evermore, The Crunge, Bron-Yi-Aur, Down By The Seaside, Night Flight, Boogie With Stu, Black Country Woman, Royal Orleans, Candy Store Rock, Tea For One, I'm Gonna Crawl, Poor Tom, Ozone Baby, Darlene, Hey Hey What Can I Do
Hardest band to delve deep inside their catalogue. Here are my picks:
1. Tangerine (Led Zeppelin III, 1970)
2. Gallows Pole (Zeppelin III, 1970)
3. Black Mountain Side (S/T Debut 1969)
4. Royal Orleans (Presence, 1976)
5. South Bound Suarez (In Through the Out Door, 1979)
6. Carouselmbra (In Through the Out Door, 1979)
I also wanted to include That's the Way until I found it appeared on How The West Was Won.
- Your time is gonna come
- Out on the tiles
- The Rover
- Night Flight
- Candy store rock
Songs not mentioned in your video: 1) Thank you (from II); 2) That's The Way (from III); 3) Four Sticks (from IV); 4) In The Light (from Physical Graffiti); 5) For Your Life (from Presence); 6) Hots On For Nowhere (from Presence); 7) Ozone Baby (from Coda). It's difficult figuring out what a "deep cut" is from Zeppelin, as I'm pretty sure everything has been played on the radio. To any new fan, I'd just suggest picking up all the albums. Can't really go wrong.
I would say that because Zep III and Presence are unfairly stigmatized as the "bad" Zep albums, most of the tracks on those albums are probably deep cuts to the casual fan. Tea for One is my favorite Zep tune from my favorite Zep album. The Lyric just spoke to me. We're Gonna Groove from Coda caught my attention after the Live DVD came out a decade ago. Man what a blistering version. Check that out. Back when Page still wore a sweater vest on stage. Also, not sure where these end up on the "played live a lot list", but Travelling Riverside Blues , The Girl I love She Got Long Black Wavy Hair and Hey Hey What Can I Do( which probably gets more airplay now than it did in the 70's because of Satellite radio) One last one from Presence, For your Life. What a great tune. Thanks again Pete.
cool list...so glad you put 'tea for one' and 'gallows pole'...all i would have needed was 'when the levee breaks,...'no quarter'...and 'what is and what should never be' and you would have had my top 5 favorite zep songs, not just the deep cuts....peace to you both....
Great Choices! The Lemon Song is my favorite Zeppelin Song ever
My favorite "deep tracks" from Zeppelin.... Ten Years Gone, No Quarter, Bring It On Home, gotta include Achilles Last Stand - since I'm a drummer & it was always a challenge & joy to play when I giged!
Fav Zeppelin Deep Cuts: 1) Tangerine 2) Bring It On Home 3) Custard Pie 4) The Wanton Song 5) I'm Gonna Crawl
Cool!
My deep cuts:
- Your Time Is Gonna Come
- Gallows Pole
- That's the Way
- Four Sticks
- D'yer mak'er
- The Rover
- The Wanton Song
- Carouselambra
Being from the UK Zeppelin weren't played on the radio but rock fans knew the songs anyway, so my deep dive might not be the same for you guys across the pond.
Hats Off To Roy Harper
Down By The Seaside
Hot Dog
Boogie With Stu
Four Sticks
And whoever said Physical Graffiti was filler ought to be Trampled Underfoot.
I would add Bron-Y-Aur-Stomp from LZ III !!! I just LOVE the stomping rhythm
With Sandy Denny fantastic the battle of evermore
BIG love for Sandy (and the Fairports, in general).
Love that song and love Heart’s rendition of it.
Always takes me back to high school. My friend had a ‘78 Chevy van that had an 8-track player in it. Listened to Led IV constantly.
Good shout
@Jukebox Cowboy Fairport would be a good one for 'ranking the albums' (I've seen them more than any other band), but I somehow doubt they're up Pete's street. I remember Robert Plant playing his re-vamped version of Battle of Evermore at the Cropredy festival - and of course it went down really well with the Fairport faithful.
my favorite Zeppelin song
This is off topic. I tried to find a list of the 5 most POPULAR Led Zeppelin songs. This is the closest list I could find. According to Billboard, these are the top 5 REVENUE GENERATING Led Zeppelin songs;
1). “Stairway To Heaven”,
2). “Kashmir”,
3). “The Immigrant Song”,
4). “Black Dog” and
5). “Whole Lotta Love”.
If I had a nickel for every time I heard Black Dog in the cafeteria at Middle School, I'd be rich. :)
Great picks! Mine are
10 Years Gone
No Quarter
Wanton Song
How Many More Times
I Can’t Quit You Baby
And also have to mention I’m Gonna Crawl
Led Zeppelin did a cover of a song called "Train Kept Rollin", which Jimmy did with the Yardbirds back in the day.
Song is on youtube (low quality) not on any streaming service or even album.
Altough there is a bootleg live album that does have it.
Later Aerosmith and Motörhead covered that song too.
Zeppelin 3-friends
Zeppelin 4-four sticks
Houses of the holy-the rain song
Physical graffity-ten years gone
In through the out door-im gonna crawl
Great list fellas, I do love In Through The Outdoor. I think Koda took me the longest to get into, but love it now!
NO ORDER BUT I GOT 6, OUT ON THE TILES from III great Page guitar riff, THE RAIN SONG from Houses of the Holy, what a gem of a song, 2 from my favorite album Physical Grafitti, CUSTARD PIE & TEN YEARS GONE, FOR YOUR LIFE from the underrated Presence which they only performed once live at the reunion show at R.A.H. with Jason Bonham. I'M GONNA CRAWL from In Through the Out Door, great song with awesome vocals by Plant and that killer scream at the end. F.Y.I. half of the material from Physical Grafitti were songs going back to LZ II up to Houses. recorded at Headley Grange Mansion with the gigantic 3 story foyer and Bonzo's drums placed in the middle to get that huge drum sound.
Here's mine before I hear y'alls and didn't consider the first 3:
1- Ten Years Gone (probably my favorite LZ song)
2- In The Light
3- In The Evening
4- I'm Gonna Crawl
5- Down By The Seaside (love the tempo change)
When I was a kid, I got Led Zeppelin on vinyl. I wasn't a big fan then, but I liked this song called Hey Hey What Can I Do. So I kept buying their albums looking for this song. It wasn't on any of their albums then, it was the B-side of the Immigrant Song. So I basically got into Zeppelin because of a deep cut.
Great tune, but I didn't pick "Hey, Hey...." because even as a B-side, it got SO much airplay over the years.
Great choice. Good song
@@allornadaaccordingtojack7601 I totally understand, over the years Hey Hey What Can I Do got a lot of airplay, and was on Coda I believe. And must of got some radio play in the 1970s that a 9 or 10 year old kid heard it on the radio enough to want the album that the song was on. But that was the 70s and then it was a deep cut. Deep enough for me to buy all the Zeppelin albums looking for that song. All albums but In Through The Out Door, by then I was a convert. Great show as always.
1. In The Light
2. Houses Of The Holy
3. I'm Gonna Crawl
4. Wanton Song
5. Tea For One
6. Sick Again
7. Wearing and Tearing
8. Hey Hey What Can I Do
9. The Crunge
10. Ten Years Gone
11. Your Time Is Gonna Come
12. Friends
13. For Your Life
14. Battle For Evermore
15. Dancing Days
And ...Baby Come On Home
Super conversation and picks!! Maybe I missed it or cannot find but I am curious why Ten Years After is not part of your conversations?
I found your Ten Years After vid 👍
Out on the Tiles, Hey Hey What Can I Do, Traveling Riverside Blues, Four Sticks, In My Time of Dyin', In The Light, Ten Years Gone, Night Flight, Sick Again
I'd definitely say "Four Sticks", "The Rover" and "The Crunge" for sure. "Friends" was a great pick.
01) Out On The Tiles
02) Celebration Day
03) Custard Pie
04) Hots On For Nowhere
05) Darlene
The Rover
Out on the Tiles
The Crunge
Hots on for Nowhere
Wearing and Tearing
Hots on for Nowhere was a slow burn for me. The riff is very deceptive as when the song begins, it sounds very simple and not too spectacular. But as you listen to the song, pay attention to what Page does as the guitar varies and builds as the song goes. It was also put to great use on the documentary Dogtown and Z-Boys.
Enter The Chicken It’s a really great speed riff. I was very surprised they played this and Misty Mountain at one of their brief reunions circa 1990. Was it Atlantic Records? I forget.
Friends is such an interesting song, very folky and very dark. It’s one of my favorite jams by Zepp and the way it segues into celebration day is mesmerizing and it really gets you into the album and just how much Zepp had evolved since the last album.
Just to clarify so people don't get the wrong idea that Physical Graffiti was made of just leftover or outtakes. Over half the album (8 songs) was new material for Physical Graffiti, with just under half (7 songs) being outtakes from the previous 3 albums, half the album were not outtakes from Houses of the Holy, as Jack stated. Outtakes on Physical Graffiti from - Zep III (1 song) Bron-Yr-Aur, Zep IV (3 songs) Down by the Seaside, Night Flight, and Boogie with Stu. Houses of the Holy (3 songs) The Rover, Houses of the Holy, and Black Country Woman. Originally Zeppelin had enough new material for a single album, but with the outtakes, it became a double album.
great information...i was gonna put this myself, but you did it so well...to me, i just never liked physical graffiti...it has way too much filler and only a couple of good tunes...and if they had cds when they made those earlier albums, half of the album would have just been bonus tracks and nothing more...
@@rocky-o Physical Graffiti is all killer no filler for me. It's the most satisfying Zeppelin album for me now. I quite enjoy all of the albums after the first five which I played the shine off of for the first thirty years I had them. I still love those albums but, the ones I didn't have much interest in when I was younger are now very fresh to me and they still have some of that shine to them. They were a magical band. I'm afraid that there's very little of that magic left in the world today.
I've occasionally dabbled in resequencing their albums with the outtakes on PG added back in and Physical Graffiti original tracks as their own album, with the aim to create an album that would still fit on two sides of a standard record. The very idea that Houses of the fucking Holy isn't on Houses of the fucking Holy should be wrong, until you listen to it side-by-side with No Quarter, The Crudge, or The Song Remains the Same. (Physical Graffiti on it's own, by the way, is still epic).
@patriotpizzaman Well said they were indeed a very special band, and the whole rock world suffered a terrible loss in September 1980. It was always a personal dream of mine since that day that perhaps someday when Jason was old enough they would reform as Led Zep the second coming or reprise or something like that, with the rightful heir to the Drum throne none other than John's son. Who after all did some sound checks before concerts with the band so his father could be in the audience seats to hear what the band actually sounded like when Jason was a young teen as well as jam with the band in a couple of studios at an even younger age. In fact, he can be seen playing a miniature orange transparent Ludwig set identical to his dad's in the Song remains the same concert film. Unfortunately, my dream almost came true, no new material, but Jason did play with them twice, once he had matured. At the Atlantic 40th reunion concert in May 1988, and Celebration Day Concert at the O2 Arena, in Dec 2007. I guess I have to be satisfied with those 2 performances. It's a shame that Robert would not budge after all these years of not tarnishing the Zeppelin name and honoring the death of his beloved friend, you would think he could have changed his mind after all the years, especially with Johns son at the throne, who I think is the only acceptable replacement for him and replicates Johns drumming perfectly.

My favorite deep cuts:
10) Carouselambra- (from; In Through The Out Door)
9) Out On The Tiles - ( from; Led Zeppelin III)
8) Friends - (again, III)
7) Hots On For Nowhere - ( from; Presence)
6) In The Light - (from; Physical Graffiti)
5) Rain Song - (from; Houses Of The Holy)
4) Ten Years Gone - ( from Physical Graffiti)
3) Thank You - (from: Led Zeppelin II)
2) The Rover-(from; Physical Graffiti)
1) Four Sticks- (Led Zeppelin IV "symbols")
The rover
I think The Rover was written or maybe even recorded during the Houses of the Holy sessions; would have much preferred that track over The Crunge which mars the album IMO; read somewhere that Plant didn't like his vocal on The Rover (which makes one wonder if he ever listened to his vocal from The Crunge)
My 10 led Zep Dep Cuts . . . One from each LP, with exception of 2 from their double album effort!
Your Time Is Gonna Come - Led Zeppelin
Thank You - Led Zeppelin II
Tangerine - Led Zeppelin III
Four Sticks - Led Zeppelin IV
The Ocean - Houses of The Holy
In The Light - Physical Graffiti
Ten Years Gone - Physical Graffiti
For Your Life - Presence
I'm Gonna Crawl - In Through The Out Door
Wearing and Tearing - Coda
Hard picking Deep Zep but here goes
Led Zeppelin- Black Mountain Side
Physical Graffiti- Night Flight
Presence- For Your Life
Coda- Wearing and Tearing
- We're Gonna Groove
BBC Sessions- Travelling Riverside Blues
- White Summer
Monumental task here. Zeppelin deepcuts are better than most bands can muster up for a hit. My favorite would be the beautiful Bron-Yr-Aur from Physical Graffiti.
Hots on for nowhere, In the light, For your life, Tangerine, Carouselambra. Pete: the wanton song was played live briefly for a few shows on the '75 tour and then was dropped from the setlist.
It is really hard to play!
@@davidskidmore4189 I always have trouble with the walk down from the main riff. I'll hit the bar chord instead of the octaves. I don't play the solo exact. Pretty close.
Hots On For Nowhere might be the weakest song in the Zep canon.
@@rubicon-oh9km Yeah, its pretty down on the list overall but I like the guitar parts in it. The solo is pretty ho-hum but I like the verse and chorus parts. And the two outro breaks at the end of the song are tasty. Jimmy Page had a way of taking ordinary riffs and making them sound interesting.
My deep cut (One from each album) :
How Many More Times (from debut)
The Lemon Song (Zep II)
That's The Way (Zep III)
The Battle of Evermore (Zep IV)
The Rain Song (Houses of The Holy)
In The Light (Physical Graffiti)
Tea For One (Presence)
I'm Gonna Crawl (In Through The Out Door)

Babe I'm Gonna Leave You (debut)
Friends (Zep III)
Dancing Days (Houses of The Holy)
Night Flight (Physical Graffiti)
Down By The Seaside (Physical Graffiti)

Thanks! That was a blast!
I saw John Paul Jones open for King Crimson, he did a version of That's the Way on mandolin. And immediately I realized how responsible for Zeppelin's sound John Paul Jones was. He was the unsung hero for that band. Plant and Page brought most of the songs and Jones brought the sound. A full collective, the four parts make the one.
I saw him in 2000 and he played Black Dog on slide guitar like it had no lyrics! Truly amazing.
@dan cussin So true. I'm fortunate enough to have a boot of the show I attended in Cleveland. (It was in October of '99 not 2000.)
JP Jones made huge arrangements

Ritchie Valens mom has a writing credit on Boogie With Stu because Ritchie ended up with a Motown Deal and made no money. Zep wanted to help her out....
It is pretty much a cover of Ritchie Valens’ “Ooh My Head.” Even though they gave his mother credit as you point out, she ended up suing them anyway. Someone needs to put a book together covering all of Zeppelin’s legal battles!
The story is Zep didn't know the correct address to send the royalties to and it went to his mum by mistake

It may not be a true deep cut; however, it was recorded for Led Zeppelin III but was released as the B side of the Immigrant Song single. One of my favorite Zeppelin songs and for me a true deep cut. Hey, Hey, What Can I Do.
Believe it or not, when I was a kid growing up in southern California, that B-side use to get quite a bit of airplay on local classic rock FM radio stations (KLOS and KMET). Never understood why it was left off the LP.

People can say what they want about Physical Graffiti having filler, I beg to differ I think it is their best album as well as one of the Best Double albums ever released by any band.
It's my favorite album, period.
@@independenceltd. Yes!!

And strangely, I have come across many people who feel that it has too much filler...never understood that at all. Has every aspect of all that is LZ, and one of the best hard rock albums of all time.
PG is Zep's best album, period.
Here's one deep cut from each album. I'm not an expert on what was released as singles and what was played live so It's probably not all deep cuts, but at least not the biggest hits.

Oh wow - now we’re talking! Zeppelin was my favourite band when I was growing up and I have a lot of history with them. In no particular order...
*That’s the Way* (Led Zeppelin III)
One of Plant’s finest vocals, a gorgeous melody and proof if any were needed that Zeppelin was way more than a typical hard rock band.
*In the Light* (Physical Graffiti)
One of those songs that captures the power and mystery of the band, demonstrating both the darkness and the light in their music.
*Hots on for Nowhere* (Presence)
Junkie rockabilly from Saturn, an amazing recording with my favourite ending to any Zeppelin tune.
*Tea For One* (Presence)
A slow blues wracked with emotion that perfectly captures the pain and tensions within the group at that time.
*Wearing and Tearing* (Coda)
Way better than anything released on ‘ITTOD’, its frenetic, raw energy proved to the punks that there was life in the old dinosaurs yet.
That's The Way is a Top 10 Zep song for me. My favorite from III, and yes, it's absolutely gorgeous. John Paul Jones' genius is what makes the song all the more magical.
D T195 John Paul Jones contributed so much to that band and was by far the most technically adept musician. I think if truth be told he held the whole thing together, particularly later on when Jimmy Page could be erratic in his playing to say the very least.
@@patrickcrowther9195 I am in full agreement with you, it's not even funny. I used to have countless discussions with pals about Zep, and of course, like most, Page and Bonham were the most raved about. But when they asked me what I thought, I always said I was most impressed by John Paul Jones. Not just for his bass playing, but his approach and his instincts on how to add a certain flavor to a tune. He was the one I found to give Zep much of the mysterious, some would say "menace" in the sound. What he's doing on bass in songs like Immigrant Song, Out on The Tiles, even Black Dog come to mind, but of course, there are countless examples. Not to mention his proficiency on many different instruments, and the fact that his arrangements were no joke.
This is not to shortchange Page, Bonham or even Plant, as I love them all. But, I know many of those Zep songs wouldn't be half what they were without the genius of JPJ.
D T195 I agree 100%.
@@patrickcrowther9195 Couldn't agree more. Jimmy Page an amazing visionnaire and a good player in the early 70's but as recording technology got better, the other great players adapted and Jimmy just remained the same. When you think you stand still, you move backwards. JPJ was totally awesome, also in 2007 in the last concert.
I'm going to pick one that's a deep cut to me on each album.
Your Time Is Gonna Come
What Is And What Should Never Be
Tangerine
The Battle Of Evermore
The Ocean
Sick Again
Tea For One
I'm Gonna Crawl
I was infatuated with You Shook Me. Thats funny that thats the first song on your deep cuts cause it was my favorite song on that album and i played it to death
Not enough superlatives to describe Zep. Friends. Brom-y-aur Stomp. Wanton Song. For Your Life. Cheating with a track not on an album: Traveling Riverside Blues. Their worst songs are very good.
The radio station by us, WPDH played just about every Zep song at one time or another. I’d say anything off Presence except Achilles Last Stand and Nobody’s Fault but Mine and anything off Coda. Everything else I’ve heard on the radio
The Rain Song - The kind of song Stairway wished it could be
Carouselambra - Schizo song with a lot of synths
Dancing Days - Great song, check it out!
Bron-Yr-Aur - Same there
Poor Tom - Same there
Jennings Farm Blues
In The Light
Four Sticks
Travelling Riverside Blues
Bron-Y-Aur

Wow, the bass playing in the Lemon Song is top tier, thanks so much for pointing it out. All my years of listening to them and I still learn and hear new things. Forever my favorite band!

#1Wearing and Tearing off of CODA!
Jam this in your vehicle and try to not to speed...IMPOSSIBLE!!!
Also
The Rover
Bron Y Aur Stomp (what a cool ass song)
Ten Years Gone
For Your Life
Great songs! Radio stations need to play these instead of the same ol things. I could throw more in there but need to get back to work.
In The Light
Bring It On Home
Babe, I'm Gonna Leave You
How Many More Times
Night Flight
Down By The Seaside
That's The Way
Trampled Under Foot, The Rain Song, Gallows Pole, In the Evening, Four Sticks, Your Time is Gonna Come, Friends, Custard Pie, Achilles Last Stand . This one is hard cause I consider these all well-known.
Also there is no mellotron on Friends, it's a real string section.
To all those that said "Down By The Seaside" I have to agree. I believe it is the most overlooked song on Physical Graffiti. Love the lyrics, "Still do the twist, do you find you remember things that well?" Always thought of those lyrics as an homage to the early rock'n'rollers from the late 50s to early 60s.
Glad you mentioned Bron-Y-Aur Stomp. One of my favorites. Check out the live version at Earl's Court 1975 on UA-cam.
I have the Led Zep 4 disc DVD with tons of concert footage. I saw it there, phenomenal!!!
Have that CD set too. Page's acoustic playing is amazing on that track.
