If Ridley Scott took some story points from the Quranic narrative, he could've made a more cohesive and historically accurate story.
1. Israelites weren't the only monotheists in Egypt. There were Atenists, remnants of Akhenaten's religion. The way he portrayed the "Hebrew God" as something alien to Egyptian culture isn't correct. "Atun" is theologically the same as God of Abraham. The Islamic version of the story includes some court magicians, a state official, and Moses' foster mother Asiya (possibly Isisnofret) who embraced the religion of Moses.
2. The Pharaoh and the military alone wasn't involved in the atrocities against Israelites. Egypt was co-governed by a priestly ruling class, with the King. The most prominent was the Temple of Amun, which was notoriously engaged in a power struggle with Amenhotep III, publicly disbanded and outlawed by his son Akhenaten, and later rose to the height of power during Ramses II. It was likely these people who interpreted pharaoh's dreams, and suggested the culling of the newborn of "infidel" Atenists.
3. The actual number of Israelites who left Egypt may have been far less to have left noticeable changed in Egyptian records. And as I said, it's not just Israelites, but other Egyptians as well. If the total number is 20,000 people, it's still a massive feat, yet more plausible than the number suggested in the Bible.
Overall, it's pretty unreasonable that Moses was sent to just free one particular race of people. And what incentive did the Israelites have to believe in him? Cut off from their roots for 400 years like the Bible says, started worshipping other Egyptians gods and cows, by this time, why would they just pack up and leave? Moses wasn't a nationalistic political activist. He called people to God, appalled to their innate goodness. Did his mission not include the other ordinary Egyptians who suffered God's wrath?
This was an alright movie, but only by using Bible as reference, rationalizing this story dilutes the story severely.
The 10 plagues are miracles that man can't comprehend and the Exodus can't be turned into a film because it's the acts of God.

Don’t know what the hell you two are on about. Exodus: Gods and Kings may have many flaws but Christian Bale certainly wasn’t one of them he is Perfect in this Movie as he is Perfect in the vast majority of Films he is in.
