Thank You Michael and the great guys of INXS. You all made us sing along and dance to our favorite INXS songs. You also gave us some great memories. Thanks again for your hard work, great songs, and music. Love all the guys. Michael, rest in eternal peace. 2009 and it still hurts,
I completely agree with you!! I was just saying to myself the other day when I fist saw this video...his eyes show so much despair. Not sure if anyone would have been able to help such pain...I do still miss him.
Is sure that anybody never know what is happen in your mind, in your hearth in the last day. But Im sure of one thing: your eyes , your expression arent the same one, your eyes dont reflect tranquillity. In this video see well. I miss You forever Michael and I Love You. Love and Peace.
Can't believe tomorrow marks 15 years since his passing. The music world, just the world in general, hasn't been the same. Here in the U.S., tomorrow is also Thanksgiving. So, instead of mourning, let's be thankful for the gifts he gave us during his all-too-brief life: his voice, his lyrics, his body, his soul. Thank you, Michael. We'll remember you always!
This footage was first shown on Channel 10's Morning show the day after his death, introduced by a very tearful Richard Wilkins, who explains this footage was filmed by Ch 10 only the previous day. After the footage he talks about Paula/Tiger being enroute to Australia etc. Because of this video, for the past ten years I have always gotten severe chills whhen listening to Kiss the D
It has been a rough year, and week, perhaps day. Otherwise he seems on his game to me. A little tense at points, but there is no sign of what was coming,
Mum was managed by a fledgling agency that became MMA.We met at a Models gig in Sydney 1983 and had a good ol talk about my mum's career.Michael was a very sweet person with manners and humour. He use to tease me about the way I walk.Being half Italian I have a Sophia Loren walk and he could duplicate it with comedy. He was very funny but a bum and wiggle man.We shared an exclusive mutual admiration society.I was far more educated than he but he was not intimidated he was quite clever himself.
I got 2 c the band at Newcastle at the Mayfair fabulous I mis the band very much and Huch, so sad , u sound amazing thanks for ya story best wishes from England 🇬🇧
Oh yes he was huge HIT with the Ladies!!!!His Dad made a comment in an Aust interview, that he would be flirting with Princess Diana (Who died only a few months earlier)I could imagine he would do! lol... RIP Michael xox
It's the real deal, raw Ch10 news footage first shown on Channel 10's morning 'Today' shown the morning after his death. It is introduced by a very tearful Richard Wilkins, who explains this was filmed only several hours before his death. At the end of the footage, he talks about Paula being on route to Australia etc. Because of this video, for the last 10 years I get SEVERE CHILLSI always get severe chills at the opening chords of Kiss the Dirt knowing it was the last time he sang it.
I knew Michael and had seen him in many moods but here he looks annoyed that he is being filmed. He was at this point emotionally labile and it shows. He's pale too. But like the trooper he was work was work and his personal life another thing so it was business as usual. If only he could have put his personal life on a back burner for a while, he needed respite from the insanity of his Geldof relationships.RIP my baby.
@sylicone221 He didn't finish high school. He had other things he wanted to do. But he was brought up, like I was, to believe a tertiary education made you a little more sophisticated and knowledgeable. With age and from experience I have seen PhDs that are dopes with the manners of pigs at a swill. But thats how it was. Mike liked to read and he was clever. He wished he had done what his parents wanted but he wanted music too. Can't do both.
@sylicone221 coping mechanism for dealing with anxiety. Despite what you might think he still had nervousness sometimes and it was an escape. He experimented but when he got really into it before he died it was the only way he knew how to deal with a really rotten situation. I'd revise "druggie" if I were you. We aren't all the same.
Sorry, my computer crashed before I finished editing my response, and it has posted itself, so sorry for the garbled language at the end! I also didn't mention I have the Ch 10 story with this story somewhere I tape. Also, before posting the original comment, I even googled to double check that it WAS 7 hours (I couldn't remember if Richard said 'several' or 'seven'.

Makes me cry miss u so much
Still pitch perfect, but there is an edge to the man, tight facial muscles, and a weirdness in the eyes. Love you always, Michael. 💔

@crysajh Isn't it sad that somebody who was so loved didn't feel it? :*(
Barb Drake Yes, deeply tragic. Poor lovely man.
Tienes razon en el detalle de los ojos es fuerte, pero real, gracias por tus comentarios.

This rehearsal was filmed only 7 hours before his death in the hotel.
