nice! thank you po ideas. suggestion po sana, magkaron kayo ng parang extreme make-over tv series na content. yung susundan nyo yung journey ng pagpapagawa o pagpapa-ayos ng bahay ng isa sa mga followers nyo from start to finish, mula sa pamimili ng mga materyales, pagkuha ng contractor o mga workers, hangang sa pagpili ng mga furnitures. Noted sa topic suggestion. Normally, structural engineers design according to the National Structural Code (laws) if your design were done by legit Architects and Engineers, it is designed as earthquake resistant. Pero syempre, natural calamities are unpredictable... and earthquakes kahit na intensity 4 or 5 lang siya... kapag matagal ang duration ng earthquake... maari talagang makasira ito ng bahay. Yan ang hindi natin mape-predict. Although, it is still good to know that your house has a fighting chance.

Hi James, noted on this. Madami actually nag-rerequest and my plan is to just feature a typical floorplan of a typical townhouse or row house in the Philippines para generalized na lang. It takes time (a lot of it) to produce these designs... especially with my schedule lately... hehehe... thanks for the suggestion! :)

Hi Arch Karlo, in terms of renovation of an old house that was constructed na mababa ang floor, ibig sabihin papasok ang tubig pag bumaha or malakas ulan, Arhitecturally-sound po ba na mag revise ng floor at itaas ang flooring at the same time itaas na din ang bubong at walls? What about the idea of sandwhiching the old house with a new elevated structure front and back area?

Not really a pros and cons opinion. Any property as long as it is strategically located and not too much in a remote area should be great.
For me it is more on how you will utilize it. If you ask me, I would prefer a big lot than a small lot because of its flexibility and its capacity.
As for a bungalow to a 2 storey... A 2-storey house would cost a bit more due to its structural supports because it carries another floor on top and the roof as well. Unlike a bungalow where it only carries the roof.

Hi sir arki. If you can please make a dress up concept of amaia scapes multipod end unit with 84sqm lot area and floor area of 25sqm, 3sqm for the porch. My sister is an architectural grad and working as architectural IT( modeling) and i am a teacher with background in tech drawing. We always contradict with the ideas on how to extend and renovate the unit that we have reserved. The unit can be extended vertically or horizontally and by BTW we our living with senior citizen parents. Our big problem with the unit is, it is facing south west which means it has direct sunlight for the whole day. We did not able to check the orientation because we had focused about the price. I already have plan to extend 1 room (SW no choice) ,KITCHEN at back and laundry area (NW). In between the kitchen area there will be an air well/zen garden (inspired by japanese home). The existing CR is in NE, living room SE.
