Wow Luise!! There is no one i am aware of that has spent this much time and energy to explain in detail so clearly what you have done here ! Do you have any idea what someone in the USA would charge for a class like this?!! And you did it on youtube and ask for nothing! I am so appreciative of this i would like to make a donation to you for what i believe i would have to pay for a class in the USA!! I believe i can do this thru your site? I can't print downloads, so i don't purchase digitals. I think i have made every mistake you mentioned in this video of what not to do !!😂😂😂😂

Those little guys on the fabric are called fibres but I prefer little guys 😂 Thank you so much for the time you have taken to produce this. 🥰

another informative video...thank-you. i would also like to say you are doing very well with the english language and please do not apologize for you doing you. btw you do you is not exclusive to any one person. i have heard that term many many years ago long before i even knew who Tim Holtz was in fact I did not know much about him until I heard you speak of him. sure i knew the brand but as far as his videos i did not know until you mentioned them. I was so happy when you became one of the makers using the products. i do not think you need to apologize for saying you do you either....keep doing what you do and your generosity with your time and skill is greatly appreciated.

Luise , please ignore the very rude people in our world, you always do a Beautiful job and explain it wonderfully. Unhappy people make negative comments and jealous people do too.

You do you has been around long before Tim Holtz has used it. You do whatever you want. (You do you). No one person owns a word or phrase that is common slang. Some people have nothing better to do with their time and energy.

So true...some people just have to hate...its their whole world view...I have one in the family...she can't drive down the road with out even hating someone's house color....their car...their dog...their landscaping....yet she is indigent...she goes from hating to being the victim and is a compulsive liar to boot....she will regurgitate any hateful phrase no matter how low iq..or how big a lie..like what propoganda msm has told her...mostly msnbc...can u tell I went on a 10 minute car ride with her...I seriously am traumatized every time...she drives 20 in 45...and then says others are driving aggressive and trying to hit her...omg...its been 14 hours and I still am infected with her idiocy and hate...I need to vent bad...but i try to live by my dad's saying..if u dont have anything nice to say don't say anything at all...I have totally failed!!!
      Forgive me please....

This is incredibly detailed and extremely clear. You must give yourself more credit for your English learning. It’s amazing how well you’ve progressed in only a couple of years. I just watched an old video and wow what a difference! I’ve learned so much and I can’t wait to go back through this series to confirm my understanding of all of the aspects as I make my first hidden spine jj. 🤗🇨🇦🤗

OMGosh Luise. This was a very informative, interesting , and very exciting tutorial. I love the end resulting journal, of course, but I am just amazed at how detailed you were and covered any (and I think every) questions that could possibly arise. I think you deserve a standing ovation, Luise. Really... extraordinary and so enjoyable. Thank you so much.

Thank you Luise for your class! It is amazing and greatly appreciated. I love your work and it inspires me and feeds my grunge addiction... LOL Please know that the phrase "you do you" is not just a Tim Holtz quote and has been used for a long time before he started saying it and years before he became an craft world icon. I have been out of college for a very very long time and my art professors frequently said that same thing. It is okay for you to use that term and to use it as often as you like. It is a reminder that as artists we need to do our own thing and that your work is only meant to be inspiration!

Do you ever use waxed tread to bind books?
The thread you used in this project… did you rub it with some bees wax before sewing in the signatures?
The cover, after painting it, did you put a protective coating on it?

Very nicely done Luise! I love your determination and passion to introduce others into the nuts and bolts of Junk Journalling and just sharing the love! I would be grateful to learn what more questions could possibly be asked at this point? You were so through and detailed. I might make a suggestion with kindness and care, please count how many times you say "meaning". I'm sure it's a lot! I don't think you have to make the connections like you are calculating a math problem or that you must prove what you are saying is true somehow. Just make statements and end them with a period. Then the next sentence. I don't feel you have to say "Sentence 1, meaning Sentence 2, meaning Sentences 3, meaning Sentence 4." I think you are using the word "meaning" in the same way you were using "relative to" before. The irony is that it is a filler word that you don't need to convey the meaning of what you are saying! Also, I don't mind at all if you say "you do you" or "don't freak your freak." All those Tim Holzisms are cute to say, meaning don't freak your freak when you do you! LOL ❤

1:22:53 Luise don’t listen to these ppl. “You do you” was said by my art professor in college before Tim Holtz was around. I belong to many artistic communities and the beauty community and ppl who don’t know who Tim is, say it all the time. I am in Canada, and it was heard often enough during the 90s. He did not coin this phrase he just says it often.
Sorry naysayers, policing speech is already a govt issue, we don’t need it in the art or JJ community. Say it all you want Luise :)
This COVER, is one of the most attractive combinations for mixed media I have seen that I feel I must make my own version of. I don’t have much Tim’s stuff it’s so HARD to find it’s crazy. They don’t supply Canada except a few Oxides and alcohol ink at Michaels that’s it. Amazon is terrible for Canada. Sigh. I will go back to that video where you make it to see what I need.
