I think you can fix the failed little bird with a tiny brush and some black acrylic paint. This could make a perfect little scene. I love how you discover cool effects by experimenting.
I learn so much from you when you make these type of videos. I learn about things to watch out for or think about, how to accept something that's not "perfect", how to keep the flow in check... Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful brain 🥰
This series that you’re doing and showing us is just BRILLIANT! You are a genius and so giving of your ideas. Watching you think and create is just an honor. Thank you so much.
Yup. Shrinks is the right word - contracts is another word for it (as in contracts is the opposite to expands). It constantly blows me away how great your English is
You can add some color to your texture paste with mica powder. Use as much or little as you like…mix it into the paste and then use it as normal..very good ideas ! I love to be inspired by watching tutorials like these…Thank you
So many ideas, so little time to try them all.....i would try to 'rescue' the little bird with a dark fine liner pen - it looks interesting to me anyway. Thanks for showing us.
This is a wonderful, series it shows what your process is and what we go through to create a journal. I'm so happy your sharing this with us thank you.
Trust me.. if you were a scientist, you would be envious of the artist. I come from a family of combination artists and engineers. I got the science part , but so yearn to make pretty (grungy) things. I know beauty when I see it and just love all the inspiration and techniques you are so very generous to share ❤
You are brilliant. I discovered the rust and coffee last summer with experiment. I had coffee dyed paper and put stencils down to give impression. (when the paper is wet the stencil really sticks to the paper well) Then I found a can I had left outside to rust filled with water from melting snow and or rain. I splattered in on to my paper and the impression came out really cool. Very detailed. Thank you for sharing your process I learn from you all the time. I will be doing this today for a journal I am working on and need to put together some signatures, Thanks again
I am doing some coffee dying and bubble marking today so this fits right in. Thank you. Luckily, I already have this set of your printables. I am thinking of printing one per signature on vellum or onion skin paper for variety.
I’m only at 30 minutes in but I wanted to share that,,, if you were to paint the coffe water on your paper piece, set a stencil over it, put it out to dry, the drying will wick the color and moisture and you can get even more intense patterns from the stencils. Just an idea to try ,,,
I can't believe you have a Tim Horton's bag in your stash. Timmie's is a much loved Canadian coffee and donut shop and the very first location is a five minute walk from my house in Hamilton Ontario. I'm hoping it makes its way into your journal!
Maybe spritz your dirty stencil with a mist of water prior to using the texture paste to help the colour from the coffee & rust to blend into the texture paste 🤔 lol - I literally just typed that & you did it. Great minds!
I think the word you were searching for regarding the ledger paper is porous... or not as porous. (Doesn't soak into the paper) Another great video, I can't wait to try your techniques. Ty fs. Sending greetings from New Zealand
Thanks! I always loved being creative but I didn't have specific niches of crafting, I did different things like painting and weird paper craft projects, a bit of pottery as well
How many papers in a signature? JK! 😂 I really like the bird stamp with the texture paste on it. Can you take a pic of it to copy b4 you clean it off? It’s cool. I wonder if not using a block behind your stamp and pressing it into the texture paste with your fingers would get the ink down in between the paste? Nice video…you ARE a scientist you know. So many experiments 😁
Luise…the birdie fail looks to me like it is behind the rose screen, so partially hidden…I think you could take this effect further…it has potential. Notice I said YOU could…only your brain, not mine🥴
When you were doing all the water and coffee and rust on the stencils, you also could’ve taken a third set of papers to get the impression from the stencils which were covered in the coffee and rust. That would mean you get three sets of papers with pattern of coffee and rust for one action of painting it with coffee and rust. You know what I mean?
If my stencil is coloured from ink/coffee etc, I use a damp cloth or baby wipe to clean it while it’s sitting on top of the paper & that brings the colour & pattern down onto the paper & cleans the stencil at the same time.
I’m watching in the middle of the video, but could you use a sponge to stamp with to absorb the rust/coffee and then use the stencil or stamp? Like a facial sponge or other small dense sponge. Or even a dauber? Love your videos!
I’m here begging you to spritz and turn over or try to apply the paste through the reverse side of the stencil. I like the bird stencil result and those lovely rusting material. Love this process.
Oh Luise I just love that your brain is so unusual 😊. I love how you found the bird in the paste. It never ceases to amaze me with how many chances you are willing to take to find new ways to use the mediums and other items you have in your stash. Keep experimenting and sharing 💗
"Does rust affect rubber? Corrosion on polymers, both plastics and rubber materials, is in many cases similar to metals but in other cases it looks very different. Corrosion attacks on polymers are often hard to discover, the material may look normal but can in fact be embrittled and have lost it´s mechanical strength."
I love watching your videos you explain things so well and I learned so much from you. I’ve never made a Junk journal, but you make me want to make one. thank you so much for your inspiring videos!
I’m so happy to have you teach me how to make a journal Luise! Seeing a genius creator as yourself putting your journal together, seeing your process frustrations and all, is a gift. I get frustrated too. We all do. I love the Magick of the embossing powder!!! What is this Magick? 😂 I have to get myself some of this Magick. Sooo pretty! Thank you my friend. ❤🕉🌹
Thanks so much, Luise for your videos, I learn soooo much! The way you work takes me totally out of my control zone (if I have such a thing in junkjournaling😂), and opens my eyes to new perspectives I haven't considered before. You're so refreshing and enlightening!🤩🤩🤩
Hi Luise! I love watching as many of your video's as I can. I am fairly new to junk journaling, and I have a question. When you embossed the butterfly in gold, could you go back over that with the same stamp in black to bring out the details? I don't have embossing powder and don't know all the properties and things, so thought I'd ask. Thanks!
A scan of your brain must be the best gift for a brain scientist studying creativity. I love to see how you work and and your makes are so interesting og fantastic.

I think the "birdie fail" looks great.
I learn so much from you when you make these type of videos. I learn about things to watch out for or think about, how to accept something that's not "perfect", how to keep the flow in check... Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful brain 🥰
I think the paper with the butterfly is my favorite it's in the eye of the beholder they say
Thank you for this series. One thing I especially value is the way you share how your brain does creativity. It is so fun to see that!
My brain is bouncing with techniques to try. Holding the signatures to determine spacing to me was novel and well done.
You are a remarkable artist and teacher. I love this video!
Thank you, Luise!
And yet, you are tutoring us in the ways of the artistic process. I learned much from this great video!
I'm really enjoying this series. I find it fascinating to watch your process from start to finish. Thanks so much for sharing.
Love how you always make each page special and beautiful
Great information and lots of happy surprises - I thoroughly enjoyed watching all this come together. Thank you, Luise! ❤️❤️

Itis so cool 🙌🏼🙌🏼 you makes so much interesting stuff and it always turns out beautiful 😻
This was so helpful, thank you. This is going to be an awesome journal.
A easy way to get rust you can use powdered nutmeg.
Thank you so much Luise, I really appreciate you and your time with this series! I am so excited for the next video and steps! ❤❤❤

My hubby needs to hear the part about not leaving the table with something finished every time.
Thank you for sharing different techniques creating very cool looking papers. You are amazing and such a creative artist . 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

I got that lovely bag in a happy mail and YES, it will go into one of both journals I create in my English and German videos
You so inspire me. Xo, julie❤
Luise, I love those papers, put it in digital I will certainly purchase it. You have done such an amazing job, thank you for sharing.

Where do you sell your finished journals?
I sell them in my Etsy shop luiseheinzl.etsy.com
It's not a tutorial, it's INSPIRATIONAL. You help us learn to work with our creativity in a raw, authentic way and I love it! Thank you dear!
I’m here begging you to spritz and turn over or try to apply the paste through the reverse side of the stencil. I like the bird stencil result and those lovely rusting material. Love this process.
I’d rather follow your train of thought than have you stick to a topic!

Your stamps would be fine in the coffee and rust water. The iron is just iron oxide, iron combined with oxygen.
Wow it’s soo interesting 👏👏👏 LOVE the process 🎉
loved your videp luise xx

Yes, you could try that with a permanent ink.... Never done that before, but it's a great idea
You make the best messes! 😊
So helpful. Thank you! What is the name of the Tim holtz stencils you used? I’m looking for the maturing one.
I guess you mean the THS012 MEASURED
@@luiseheinzl oh my gosh. Lol. Yes. Measured. Thank you. Auto correct is not always my friend.
