This is the Switchblade 600 which is a man-portable, tube-launched kamikaze drone system, with a powerful warhead that can attack Anti Armour vehicles.
But According to the Company, this is an advanced Loitering Missile.
When the Shahid kamikaze Drone was made under a budget of 10 to $40,000 in spite of the sanctions.
The American War Machine with a budget of more than 700 billion dollars took notice and awarded Aero Vironment defense contractor to engineer a Kamekazi drone for under 10 to $20,000.
This might be a worthy replacement for the, $78,000 javelin missile that cost 4 times more.
Again points to be noted the Shahid or Geran 2 could cover distances of about 1500 kilometers while the Switch Blade 600 has a range of 40 kilometers.
But what, it lags in range the Switch Blade Kammekazi drone or missile makes up with its precision and command and control tracking.

I think we need a strafing drone. Something that can return and reload (munitions and battery) for strafe attacks. If you could place a Carl Gustav and/or small arm weapon system (preferably either so it's modular given total payload) on a MAV class UAV you can have a modular anti armour and anti personnel system that can short-term loiter and strafe with conventional munitions. Ideally this is for FOB or defensive locations where you don't care if they possibly see the return flight path.
A machine gun armed drone with a stabilization system has been developed with the ability to be aimed in various directions. But it has limited antitank capability unless it carries other antitank weapons. The gun cannot do the roles of the 84mm Carl Gustav. More guns will likely be added to future drones. Including models that can fire anti-armor weapons.

This thing is a equivalent to the Russian Lancet drone, not a Iranian Shahed, because it is battery powered and ment to strike silently on a high value targets, the problem is that Russians have more electronic jammers at the front, so this switch blade could only be used on targets isolated from main battle group.
I am tired of hearing russia have this and that but in reality it does not work at all. Ukraine bomb daily with suicide drone and HIMARS missile so where is russian jammer?
The lancet isnt as powerful as a javelin and doesnt take out tanks with reactive armour like the 600. Also, most troops at the front dont have jammers as then their drones and GPS dont work.....hence why you see so many drones dropping bombs on them every day.
The problems is that only a handful of switchblade were produced and switchblade 600. Doesn’t exist

SB-600 the US sent 10 to Ukraine, by the July 2023 they will receive 400 more
Curios if they took electronic jamming into account in the on board computer. So you could loiter out of jamming range acquire the target and just tell it to go and even when the signal is lost to the handset it would still use onboard nav to hit the target.
Again not sure this feature exists but if i were making a drone like this i would add this feature. jamming only goes so far and take alot of power and if you put the jamming signals to high you could damage other equipment so im sure there would be work arounds.

How does it compare against the Lancet? Surely more expensive, better killer features I am not so sure. BTW Lancet is already field tested and proved successful and a new model is following suit. Where is Swithblade 600 still on drawing board, nice?

Switchblade does not look impressive as the Shahed because it isn't meant to.
It is launched from a mortar tube and can be operated by a single person if necessary. Think of it as a loitering version of the javelin.
And unlike Shahed which act more like cruise missiles that typically target buildings/landmarks, these are meant to hit small and fast targets accurately.
Switchblade does not look impressive at all compared to Lancet though
@@al1sa920 The Lancet has more range but it's also HUGE and not man portable unlike the switchblade. Also the Lancet relies on speed for range, so it has a shorter loitering time.

@@OTerrorKeksO cold launched means that the engine is turned on after launch and not in the tube itself, the switchblade I assume uses an air compressor outside the tube to drive out in order to start the engine

У ножа большую часть цены его дорогущая камера сдирает.
+ Электродвигатель на лите ионных аккумуляторах.
+ Пусковая установка.
Отлично . Мы его использовали для уничтожений РЭБ и ПВО на очень низких высотах. У дрона почти моментальная реакция на управление элеронами. Задержки обратной связи небольшие.

Irán kamikaze drone need a large flat ground to take off that's why they only can use It from large distance, Can't be used inside enemy línes .. Usa kamikaze is a short Range missile to be used by soldiers from their own " save" position inside and brake enemy línes...

The Russians just electronically jammed and took out the switchblade 600, supposedly our most advanced drone. Russia has better Electronic Warfare, and Hypersonic Missilles that we can't stop, and Posiden Nuclear Autonomous Torpedo with 100 mega ton warheads, with a 90 second launch window, and they are already set at DEAD HAND status. Meaning if anything happens to Russia, they will automatically go directly to the designated pre programmed targets in UK, NATO, USA
