Naval Kamikaze Sea Drone How it works using Starlink Satellite
Вставка
- Опубліковано 6 вер 2023
- This is the Ukrainian Self Made Kamakazi drone and works by sucking in water from a hatch and flushing out a jet of water that propels the Naval drone at a speed of 50 miles per hour.
All this at a cost of $250,000 while its high-value targets are worth more than $650 million.
They usually work like a wolf pack hunting its target, while they are being controlled through Starlink Video link, destroying bridges, and recently managed to penetrate an important harbor and damage two vessels.
We will also be looking into the step-by-step process of how this works and the engineering behind it all in the videos ahead.
Get ready to dive into the world of the Ukrainian Self-Made, Naval Khami kahzi, Sea Drone - a high-tech marvel that's making waves in naval warfare!
Picture this, a naval drone that can, extract water from a hatch below it's , and then unleash a powerful jet of water, propelling it at an astonishing speed of 50 mph.
But what's even more mind-blowing is that this cutting-edge technology only costs $250,000, comparing to its potential targets which are valued at a staggering cost of $650 million!
They usually operates like a wolf pack, hunting their target while being controlled through the Starlink Video , destroying bridges, and recently managing to penetrate an important harbour resulting with the damage of two vessels.

Exactly, probably less since it is quite heavy. I'm also pretty sceptical about the range.

The round, angled plates on top of the front half of the drone are radar reflectors, making the drones less visible to radar. Phalanx guns did not activate when their ship was attacked by these original sea drones. The "Sea Babies" are larger, with longer range and do not have the reflectors. There is video of one of them being taken out by phalanx guns.
Since when RuZZians had phalanx?

Very impressive video! As an unmanned boat practitioner, I would like to express some thoughts. Ukrainian unmanned boats are relatively covert when sailing, but it does not mean that they can navigate underwater. Because it does not adopt a fully enclosed design and does not have any diving mechanisms, it does not have the ability to perform underwater tasks.
perhaps they mean that if he is covered by a wave or he finds himself under water for some time, nothing will happen to him, he will float up and continue moving

Sea drones definitely changed naval warfare forever. Imagine if serious development goes into this weapon, it'd be sailing way faster, dives deeper, stealthier and even can carry ranged weapons!
Imagine a group of the drones would get close to a warship as semi-submersibles, and then within a distance of a few km, emerges, each fires 3 or 4 modified javelin missiles then dives back down and leave. While the warship's defense system is busy trying to deal with the incoming missiles, kamikaze drone ships emerge and hits the warship.
Sea drones must have a carrier ship with special equipment and men to operate drones. All suspected ships can be destroyed with hypersonic missile and cruise missile.
@@GEOGigalot no, they can be autonomous, the ship is very easy to recognize in the ocean and the AI can easily cope with this and destroy it automatically.
@@vladkudrya9615 But small sea drones can't operate autonomous to long distance in ocean because they can't be loaded with enough fuel to do that.

Can it be adapted to be deployed from the air...
❤🇺🇦🇪🇺🇺🇦❤️ it is necessary to use several sea drones from different directions at once and use diversionary maneuvers against enemy ships.
It’s good if a sea drone is not visible above the water, but floats underwater like a torpedo.
When it is underwater, drone can't use Starlink satellite aerials like the cruise missile do.
There are already. Google “marichka”.
Good graphics, and topic.... however the script, please get some help, it was over the top and lacked substance. Jet ski modified to be a low profile Kamikaze drone. Using starlink for communication using contact fuse to detonate. You just said that about 25 times maybe do a little research to add value beyond headline level information.
i was thinking the same.. hopefully they take in the constructive criticism. this was very cringing to listen to.
Nice video, very informative. These vesels can be further improved. The main componets (engine, fuel, control unit & explonsive charge) can be completely submerged within a topedo like frame. If the charge is ignated underwater the water pressure from the blast will be more devastated to the ship target and also to concrete structions (check dumbbaster bombs of wwii). The sensors and the engin intake air could be above water on a fin "bridge" or on snorkel and periscope masts, in that way the visual signature of the vehicle can be smaller and would be able to operate at lower final speeds at noice and wave stealth mode. These should be at the rear of the vesel in order for any ship fire to fall behind. I like the swarm function... these tactics mean that any Fishing trawler can launch 6-7 of these vessels and destroy fleets witin their bases.
already happening
Ukraine has these too. They called Marichka, look it up.
Ну если так пойдет, то и ядерными ударами ответку можно получить

It was a terroristic act against civilian bridge. Russians can't cover up all civilian buildings and structure.
The Japanese used manned kamikaze boats and submarines as well as manned kamikaze bombs called cherry blossoms. They would make an interesting video I think..

Hey love the videos is it possible to get a copy of the design in blender ?
good explanations of how these are made
A few questions:
*A Seadoo engine moving fast, very faste a 5m+ 250kg++ hundreds of km?
* Stealth? a mass up to 1.000 kg payload, with multiple comms for operation and targeting.
* Russian CIWICS? surely the have one.
* At 250k $ cheaper than decent torpedo but not much IMHO.
Us hardware is expensive except that seadooo
I also have some questions.
There is 700 km from Ukraine to Kerch bridge.
50 mph? For a short burst, maybe. This thing is not big enough to have such a range at high speeds. That means it has long range cruise speed maybe 10 mph, thet would make them exposed for many hours.
Guidance is also very questionable. I think, actually I'm pretty sure they use NATO assets for guidance. RQ-4, RC-135, P-8......
I suspect they are delivered by civilian ships to the area and there is direct NATO involvement in guidance.
Excellent and informative. Any plans for a video detailing DRACO nuclear thermal propulsion engine?
I suspect the last US Aircraft Carrier has entered the Persian gulf. The math doesn’t work anymore.

Why do you keep saying "Underwater", when it travels on the surface of the water?
Apologies but jetski can also go underwater

No it isn't, the model displayed remains a surface vessel.
It's just a surface torpédo that a CIWS would easily erase.

That engine concept could be a thing in a regular civilian boat one day.
It is from a civilian boat.....

Taiwan's unmanned submarine will be built by the end of 2023. It has a displacement of nearly 100 tons and looks like a small submarine. There is a submarine-like sail cover above the submarine, equipped with sonar and torpedo tubes, and all the functions of a submarine. It is fully equipped and can launch small unmanned craft to monitor, lock and attack enemy targets. In the future, it will be equipped with anti-ship missiles or torpedoes to attack surface targets, or perform tasks such as mine laying, ISR (intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance), or mine warfare.
While Taiwan is building its first IDS submarine, it is also building unmanned submarines, which will perform joint combat missions in the future.
of course, this is a model, but why does the bomb have an unnecessary tail? it would be more useful if the drone could dive when approaching a target and vice versa, float up in front of it. Also, it is helpful to have more than one "eye"
Very interesting! 💙💛
Thank you! Cheers!
TLDR: Remotely piloted jet ski carrying a bomb.
Desperation breeds ingenuity
Excellent vid!! Is one more weapon system, pretty much a guided surface torpedo. Even with autonomous AI, it would be not different than an smart guided missile. Very fast torpedos could be far dangerous.
Suicide drones are just Missiles but cheaper, less powerful, manually controllable and loiterable
They should have radar absorbant coating or a paint coating dazzle shapes that blend in with the sea it would make them way more stealthy although radar absorbant coating doesn't do well in water maybe rubber submarine coating.
Hmm, good idea. I have an idea 💡 there is a pattern that will make it nearly invisible to the eyes but adding radar absorbent will increase its stealth capabilities
Something like Tamil Tigers were doing mere 20 years ago.
This drone will probably be improved over the next few years. That may very well be one of the improvements.
This makes no sense, there is not a single radar that can detect it, the blind zone over the sea is about 1-2 meters minimum. Of course, the closer you are to the radar, the smaller this zone is, but it will be too late.
After listening for a few minutes, I imagined I was listening to Rod Serling, from the twilight zone.
How is the direction changed in these drones?
Can be done using Starlink also, i have an rc car with 4g LTE connection for FPV camera, so controller can also be using Starlink
How about semi-submersible drone to avoid visual detection? Ukraine sea drone navigate above water like normal sea boat. So it can be detected by visual surveillance or electronic radar. The underwater sea drone can cruise under the sea to avoid such detection. Only air snorkel for engine air intake/exhaust gas, antenna for communication and camera periscope will be exposed over the water. Most of ship hulls and deck are underwater to reduce water or wave resistance. It will extend its range too.
For a given speed the more you are underwater, the more drag you have. Approximately 800 times more drag (water vs air). If you want to go fast you have to barely touch the water, you have to fly over it. Submarines are the slowest of all vessels.
No submarine can catch a moving ship (the ship is faster). They launch torpedos which travel a little bit faster than a ship, but only for a few km, before sinking due to the lack of propulsion.
There is at least one already in UA. Named “Marichka”.
Basic design is interesting, but it could be perfected. If there is a zirca 3 meter snorkel/electronic periscope/transmiter mast added to the design, done some smoothening changes to the body of the craft and the vehicle moves dived (with exception of the mast), like a kamikaze submarine, the vehicle should be much better protected (by the sea, and smaller outlying parts than the whole body) against incoming defensive machinegun fire, by the water around.
but then the speed would be reduced due to water resistance.
@@ThangTran-bj4we True. That could be mitigated either by shape of the drone, or by addition of kavitation technology. Other point - underwater movement will mitigate the sound of jetski engine. AND 3 meter thick layer of watter, defends pretty good against most of kinetic weaponry (machineguns). Device moving like that, will be targeted by anti-submarine armament, but that is usually ment for deeper (than 3 meters) use. Various granades and depth charges exist, but are ment for bigger, slower and a bit deeper moving targets - subs. Question is, how would the drone fare after ANY changes.
the point of such a design is precisely to reduce the cost of production as much as possible
Impact fusses ! What happens if it bumps a swimmer or a novice sea otter ?
Need to add countermeasures against sea nets and chains underwater. Smaller rockets or something like that.

Wouldnt a hydrofoil be a good idea?
So basically it does the same job as a guided missile or guided torpedo. In ww2 we had chains that would protect vessel from torpedoes so that why we use missiles
So how does this drone travel underwater as the video states?
The Seadoo motor and pump is amazing. I used to own two when my sons were young and I was amazed by the power, and the efficiency of the water pump over propellers. So don’t put the power down please. So 50 mph does not sound impressive until you do that on water. Out of eight boats I have owned only one would go that fast.
Doesnt the warship and submarine detected any movement in the water since the engine will make alot of noise that a submarine can detect? The low profile is its main advantage. Other than that it will be render useless before it is even near the warship. Nonetheless good effort.
Many of them got destroyed but it's worth the try
@@Aitelly worth the try was Kalibr destroying the factory where these boast are built. What’s the point of attacking the bridge, where civilians were killed? That "communication antenna" is actually a Starlink set, so operators get a live video - which they published.
@@trader2137 Maybe enough for bridge, GPS is of not much use agaist moving targets, that requires active guidance. From videos you can see they use TV guidance. How do they transmit the signal? I wonder if the arches could be made to 'hum' like a tuning forks. Most drones use FM signals, sat relays are too expensive to be disposable like kamikaze drones. FM pilot control, and a Reaper style drones being fed real-time data from NATO central.
The flares used to distract certain missiles could also be used at high value targets, if flashing LEDs will blind a camera that is using 'OCR' style self targeting for the last part of the flight, that is even better because a capacitor can be recharged quickly.
Will a 6-barrel .22lr be far away? One on each corner of a high value building, all connected to the other guns on nearby buildings so you have 3D aiming.
