All that work for a trip finish??? Just like anything else, finishing shots, high c/ducks, ankle picks/knee snags, throws, or drags/passes will be dependent upon opponents reaction. I prefer k.i.s.s... the path of least resistance. The more steps in a takedown set up or finish, the lower percentage of success. Oh, and I never dig an underhook WITH the intent of removing it. So, if I'm FORCED to pull an underhook free, the immediate head pop would be a great way to set up any shot or knee drop. But I think digging an underhook WITH the intent of removing it for a set up is a huge waste of energy and time.

All I can think of is the out of bounds, longer periods, and riding time? what is legal in college that isnt in high school?

Unnecessary roughness is legal in college, but isn't in high school. Atleast I haven't seen refs call it in college though.
