Might have done a better job if I wasn’t worried about getting on the beers. 🤦🏽🤣 Love Coota mate, it’s very close to my heart.❤️ Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment David.👍🏼
loved this video ,that area is very special to me as my dear ol dad would take us brothers there every year so he could get away from our mother ,Gypsy point is where he rests now ,he was an ol Dutch sailor that travelled all over the globe and thats where he wanted to be scattered ,thankyou for uploading
Thanks Peter, it’s a beautiful place that’s for sure. I’ve been going the all my life, including a short stint living there. My Grandfather use to go out with Dawn Davis, the publican at Gypsy Point, spent many an afternoon there waiting to take him back to Coota in the boat! RIP to the old man and my pop !
@@rodgeorge7244 Mallacoota is very close to my heart. A lot of history there for both sides of my family. My old man is buried there as is a lot of other family members. It’s a magical place, more so when the weather is behaving. 🤦🏽🤣👍🏼
Hey mate in Mallacoota ATM, went to Betka today with the kids ... top notch, thanks. Off to a few other of you suggested over the next week cheers Macca
All good mate, the further out you go the better the beach’s are I reckon. Secret and Shipwreck are the pick, but Betka is the pick for the kids. Check out Genoa Falls about 4ks from Genoa heading to Melbourne, you won’t be disappointed. Cheers for watching and commenting ! 👍🏼
Awesome Brother. Such a nice area hey. I remember going down there as a kid 40 years ago with my parents and the Dandenong Ranges 4WD Club. Bloody awesome memories down there fishing. Great vid Brother. And so good to see the Troopy back out on the Tracks 👌👌
Thanks Kathy … yeah that’s true, you can see it in the video. ( just 😂 ) But after almost 3 days of filming I’d had enough. It’s not like it was 40 years ago now that’s for sure. Appreciate you watching and your comment 👍🏼
Some good fishing to be had inside and outside. Gummies we’re on the bite big time this year. I never had a chance to get out, blew up and swell pick up after the kids went home. Think I need a bigger boat! L Thanks for watching Chris. 👍🏼
Such a great video Gav. I have such wonderful memories of staying with our Gran and getting up to mischief with your Dad, Uncle Brian and Uncle Neil. ❤
Just came across this vid. Awesome work! We are actually purposely staying on Mallacoota tomoz night just to spend our little bit of money in the town to support it getting back on their feet.
Nice mate, good to see. If you head down the wharf to a little food van called Kelpies, that me cousin Dales food van, say G’day for me, great bloke. Cheers for watching and taking the time out to comment mate.
Nailed it again Gav!! 😁👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Those breathtaking, sweeping drone shots 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 Amazed by how geologically diverse the coastline is there! And ya had me with old mate towing his boat with a tractor 🚜😎👌🏻👌🏻🤣🤣🤣 Keep up the great work!
Thanks Laura, it’s an awesome spot that’s for sure. I appreciate you watching it and commenting, but you missed the 2 dogs in the boat at the jetty keeping an eye on the drone when i was filming! 🐕👀😂 It’s a beautiful spot that’s very close to my heart for many reasons. ❤️
Thanks Luca, I feel at home in the Troopy that for sure. I’m slowly getting there, but still a long way to go with the quality of the content. Thanks for watching ! 👍🏼
Great episode Gav, love seeing all the coastal towns, gee that breakwall and boat ramp is pretty close to the open seas eh, would be pretty hairy in bigger swell. I stayed at Gypsy Point a few decades ago now, we went out to Mallacoota one day but the weather wasn't great unfortunately always wanted to get back, this time of the year probably best time while the water and weathers warmest. Cheers mate great to see you back in the troop
Thanks Chris, it’s a controversial boat ramp that’s for sure, it divided the town. I’ve used it once since it was built. Gypsy is nice, my grandfather use to go out with Dorn the publican for a while, spent a lot of time there. This time of year is good, but Feb is the best time I reckon. Plus it’s not as busy as the Xmas period. It’s a great place, it remoteness from the big cities has saved it from being over developed. Which is why it is the way it is. Thanks for watching mate, hope you get back there one day. 👍🏼
Awesome vid, always wondered what Mallacoota area was like, heard about it during the bushfires afew years ago where everyone had to escape to the ocean in boats and swimming etc.👍👍
Thanks Muppet, it’s a beautiful spot, surrounded be rugged NP on all sides, you can see why it was so badly effected by the Bushfires, but it’s slowly bouncing back from the fires, but has a long way to go. Thanks for watching 👍🏼
What a amazing and beautiful coastline. You have a great gift for videoing our beautiful country . Thanks for another great video. Go and have a beer on me mate but you will have to pay for it,🤭 sorry ha

You probably need to talk to your resident drone flyer down there mate 🤷🏼♂️. Unless you were sitting on a beach somewhere this day I doubt I flew over you, and at the height I was flying most of the time I doubt you would have heard it or seen it. I was only showcasing the beautiful areas that Coota has to offer. Our family has been paying rates down there for over 70 years and have assisted and donated to the town in many ways over this time. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. Appreciate it.
You have nailed it and done the town proud.
Well done
