Mate I was in the same area this afternoon, went to a old pub near Cathcart, but of locals only location. Was built in the 1860’s … but how’d this, people use to use it after catching ships into Eden on the way to Kiandra. I couldn’t believe it when I read it. You on Green Swing? I’ll have to keep an eye out for ya!
It was a cool spot Coolamine Homestead. Wish I had a bit more time to really take it in, to read some of the newspaper clippings… be some interesting reading I reckon !

Definitely 2WD access down there off the Snowy Mountains Hwy, well 90% of the time when the seasonal closures are open. I’m keen to go back and do the walks, looks like pretty awesome scenery👍🏼

@aguyandhistroopy l was there for 4 days Gav last week, better than LR and l had a blast, even went to a funeral at the pub, pretty sad but it was very Ozzie, loved the 3 pubs, got lost on the golf course, emus gave me a bum steer, wandered thru potch heaps for a week still found nothing and laughed at every turn. Even the war memorial was a special place to be. I'll be back there again one day for sure!

@@aguyandhistroopy Hey mate, I took a trip down to Yarrangobilly for the day yesterday for a bbq lunch with the bride (the new trucks first trip out). The river was up a bit so didn't take the D-Max for a swim.Visited Sawyers, Delaneys, (fantastic restorations) and the homestead at the camp ground. Brumbies, lyre bird, wedge tails, snow up at Kiandra and just a terrific day out. Also had a look at my old fly fishing stomping ground at Denisons. (hadn't been back there for 30 years and has changed quite a bit from those days.) Was going to go and have a look at 2.0 but was running out of time. Bobeyan Rd on the ACT side is atrocious but getting repaired on the NSW side. Wish the ACT Mayor would do something about it. We probably wouldn't have gone without watching your post, but glad we did, we had a wonderful day. Thanks again mate, looking forward to your next one. Cheers, BobbyB.

Ffs sake, if ya see another vehicle coming the other way, stop and at the very least say g’day and pass on info about the track ahead.
