    Mate! That post night-shift effect when your trying to do anything at all, is just an up hill battle no matter how you look at it, but you still managed to get out there and show us what we're all missing.     G'day mate did you ever get down to Lobes Hole before the Snowy 2.0 was built on top of it. It was a great spot for camping and fishing. It's all concrete and crap now.

      @@ianrobinson6172 nah mate, I only started after the project had started. I help build the road down into Lobs Hole, you won’t recognise it now. It’s a shame Ian, but it needs to happen, hydro is the way to go! Hopefully one day it will be open back up to the public. Cheers for watching mate and taking the time to drop a comment. 👍🏼

      ​@aguyandhistroopy it used to be an old mining town. Parts of the old pub The Washington Hotel and bush rock foundations of buildings. I've seen google earth pics of it now. It's heart breaking what they did to such a great spot.

      @@ianrobinson6172 the foundations are still there of the pub, they have an exclusion zone around them. You can see the old tailings still in areas and the shafts. Most of the infrastructure will be removed and reinstated. Yes it will take a long time for it to grow back but it will be better then mowing down bush land to put up wind and solar farms that will scare the land forever. I feel ya pain. But some things just have to happen for the country to progress.

    Another great spot Gav! Love the drone footage showing the bigger picture. Think you made the right decision moving camp and on the +ve side somebody left some firewood for ya already cut so more beer drinking time and casting time 😂 🍻.       @@Big_Daz the drone puts it all into perspective I reckon. Yeah the firewood was a bonus, cut some myself though. Just wish I waited before I carried most of it down to the beach, as I had to carry it all back up to the grassed area again !🤣🤦🏽 Just take the Sandy Creek Trk ( the section more towards the NSW’s border ) and follow it down, plenty of good camps further down the river also.     Thanks Krusty. What a magnificent spot, not just the Snowy, or the setting, but the fact you're on your own. Still plenty of places that aren't overrun with the ubiquitous 4wd four door ute, geezus, they're like R-soles, everyone's got one. I've a few gems that I keep to myself. I like the awning for the Troopship, it fits it like a glove, exactly what I have in mind for my dream camping vehicle. Sure you didn't leave a tap on when you left work after two weeks night shift? Jindabyne might be empty when you get back? You must have walked one kilometre setting up camera's on the 'No Name track', it makes those beers taste better I guess. Cheers mate.       @@mort8143 hey Mort, hope your well mate. I’ve been lucky the last couple of camps to be on my own, guess being a Thursday or Friday night might help my cause. The awning is awesome mate, that extra coverage is spot on. 👍🏼 If there was water coming out of SH at the moment we’d be in all sorts of trouble ! 🤦🏽🤣 Just another day on the tracks mate, nothing better than a bit of exercise.     The Snowy Live app will let u know how much is being let out of Jindabyne. ( allow a few days to get there) they deliberately let several floods down the river every spring.

    Mate. A bit further down sandy creek track there is an amazing offshoot down to the river. I camped there last year, was stunning, right on the bend in the river.

    Right you would have been wrecked after 14 days doing night shift. What a great spot to come and have a rest. Thanks for sharing it with us. I don't think I could be bothered filming it, but I'm glad you did. I was trying to explain to mum that it wasn't tidal but it was the water being let out of jinabine You've got a really good setup now. I'm looking forward to you spending a couple of nights in the one spot only sort of so it makes me relax with your mate. I know you've got heaps on hope the family's well and the house is going good.       @@michaelsheppard6486 it’s hard after nights, I struggle to get my words out sometimes, that’s why I love these sort of low keyed camps. There was a massive roster rail coming from the release at the Jindy dam wall. I’m on a 2 night trip in one location at the moment, but got led astray by some young fellas camping near me, first night wasn’t real relaxing !! 🤦🏽🤣 Heaps going on as usual… struggle to keep up at times. I’ll just be doing what I can, not over committing to anything. Thanks Sheppy for your ongoing support of the channel, it’s really appreciated mate. 👍🏼

      Bentley Plains, next to Moscow Villa. Nice little camp ground that’s open all year round, it’s not far from Nunninong Plains.

    I camped down on the Swampy Plain River two weeks ago and thought it was a good idea to have a swim, instant brain freeze, felt fucken good to get out but, another great adventure mate, keep em coming, see you on site 👍

Ive been meaning to go to there to camp, this episode could have actually been on the Swampy Plain River, but decided to take the Barry Way as it’s a bit more direct route to get home.
