  • Blueberry Cobbler - this is an Old Fashioned recipe that is super easy, full of blueberries, and bursting with flavor! The perfect summertime, or anytime, dessert made with fresh or frozen blueberries.
    Preheat oven to 375°
    ½ stick butter (4 tablespoons)
1 ½ cups blueberries (fresh or frozen)
¼ cup granulated sugar (to coat blueberries)
    ½ cup granulated sugar
    ½ cup self rising flour
    ½ cup milk
    ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
    ⅛ teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
In a baking dish add butter and place into the oven to melt while preparing the remaining ingredients. In a medium mixing bowl add blueberries and ¼ cup sugar to coat berries - set aside.
Using a batter bowl, add ½ cup sugar, self rising flour, milk, and vanilla. Mix well until all ingredients are well incorporated.
Remove the baking dish from the oven, butter should be completely melted at this point, add blueberries and sprinkle with cinnamon. Add batter over top of blueberries and bake for approximately 30 minutes or until an internal temperature reaches 200° with a thermometer. Allow to cool on a wire rack for a few minutes and serve. Enjoy plain, with vanilla ice cream, whipped topping, or a splash of canned milk.
