Me too. I remember well those times when this song came out. There was skyrim. I was dating a girl whom i thought it could be the woman of my life. The love, the rock 'n' roll. The cold in an especific trip of me carrying a white flower. Oh and there was also dark souls. I had so many friends back then. I was lost in life, without a purpose of mine, but i could easily live up to someone elses needs. It was all white. These times now are stranger times. Nor black or white, just the dull gray. The future sometimes can be awesome, right? Not always, but sometimes you find good things. And sometimes you just want to go back for something more familiar. Just by listening to the right song it can revive so many aspects of a previous life... its magical.
This is the reason why I love music like this. Truthful, Meaningful, Realistic, Sound is tranquil, not even, its so beautiful you cannot fit a word to explain it. I really love this song, its unbelievable how incredible they are in concert!!!
People don't understand the level of intelligence Gavin Rossdale has. His consistency in writing lyrics over 30 years that make you feel what he's saying.
Bush, Soundgarden (Chris Cornell), Pearl Jam, Audioslave, Stone Temple Pilots (Scott Weiland), Placebo, Smashing Pumkings and more.... It feels like it was the dawn of real music. Good to know that Gavin Rossdale is still making music :)

My favourite Bush song...I love Gavins voice in the later years it is natural and not overly growly like the early material...I can finally hear his real pure voice
Gavin Rossdale - hottest man ever. I don't understand why he's not the most sought after man. He's talented, intelligent, gorgeous... His shows rock my socks off. Love and respect Gavin and Bush!!!❤❤❤
Gonna see them next month, love Bush and this song is great. This song gives me motivation and a feeling. I miss music that used to stir feelings and emotions
Bush, Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, Audioslave, Stone Temple Pilots. If you like any of these bands, I recommend you try the others as well. They're each special in their own way, but they have much in common. And most of all, they're all underrated today, and I can't seem to figure out why.
Silverchair, Smashing Pumpkins, Helmet, Nirvana, Alice In Chains, Temple of The dog, Soundgarden, Weezer, Soul Asylum, Blind Melon... I could go on for days. 90s were the best
I agree... America is missing the Grung / Alternative scene / music!!! This Music is sooo full & sooo touching! Missing the 90's during Covid & Always ❣
10 years have passed since that era of real rock music. 10 years ... it seems not so long ago, but as if in a bygone life. wonderful composition! my stomach rattles when I listen to songs like this. probably this is youth)
I liked Bush in high school, I'm 34 now. This song was cool. Not OMG but I'd like to hear it come on the radio when I'm driving. A lot better than most of shit the radio plays.
same bro, that’s why i came to this vid, it’s nice to find someone that relates, nhl 12 was my first video game and i remember just spending all day playing it when i was young
Thanksgiving2017 Bush great band I worked for a Tulsa Heart radio station K m o d in 1994, 1995 'I was diagnosed with breast and cervical cancer at 44 (Tulsa) no family or kids left in my hometown I enjoyed the promotion of Bush sixteen stone Thanks guys.
I saw them last night. Gavin walked through the stands as he sang and I put my hand out hoping for him to touch my hand...guess what he did?? He grabbed me and gave me a very sweaty hug!!! Best night of my live!!! Brought tears to my eyes. You can choose to believe me or not, but I PROMISE it happened..
This song makes me think of my path to Jesus, bc for too long I had been f'n up. But I feel like I got my head right now, and I'm ready to walk the walk.
Seems i'll never get sick of this song, the 1st time I heard it in NHL 12 back in september or so I liked it, I hear it almost every time I play that game, which is almost all the time, and I still like it.
This is a kick ass song. It still has a Bush feel to it. They still somewhat have there sound. Unlike alotta bands who change completely. Not that it's bad. It's just nice to hear bands u grow up with make music after years. And it still has that feel u had when u jammed to them in Jr high and high school
Weird is what people say when they don't relate to something or they don't understand it!!! These lyrics aren't weird they're those of someone who has lived. Just cause something is over your head doesn't mean it's weird. Bad ass lyrics actually.
You know it's a good song when you hear it one time on the radio, and you already want to make a cover of it with your own band before the song is even halfway over.
Cale Roy Wusere That's about what it did to me when I heard it in my truck. I just parked it at a gas station, turned it up, and then went back to driving when it ended. Strange...
This is the Bush we all love and remember. Never was a big fan of chemicals between us really. But other than that, this song reminds me of their 90s stuff as well.

Hands-down the best Bush album (most considered, most polished, most catchy, most rocking, most mature) since Sixteen Stone is The Sea of Memories.
I agree sir, people are afraid of change and want the same old, same old. It just shows how boring people really are. I like when bands expand their horizons in new sounds personally.
I know how you feel but it's basically true dude. They came out at the height of the grunge movement and 16 Stone, as well as this song, definitely have that classic grunge sound. All the original grunge acts were from Seattle but that didn't stay a constant but for maybe six months till Stone Temple Pilots came out. After that bands from all over tweaked their sound a hair to get in on that cash cow called grunge. Hell Silverchair was about as grunge as it gets and they were from like Australia or NZ and shit. Pretty sure the record labels had something to do with it too. You think they were going to be satisfied with only the big four Seattle based grunge bands or was it in everyone's best interest to grunge up similar acts? Hell, even The Smashing Pumpkins complained that their label put the pressure on them to grunge up Siamese Dream and tried to resist it in the studio only to find that the engineers came behind them and did it somewhat anyways. In the end tho, a lot of those bands owe their start to that. It's not like they didn't have the talent but grunge was ALL that was selling in alternative/hard rock at the time as metal was dead and felt like beaten dead horse for a time. Also, it's not like they were forced to stay that way. A lot of those bands, Bush included, had that first commercial success album that was grungy then followed up with albums that were closer to what they wanted. Immensely popular........fuck llabels but Bush was very much alternative rock!!! They where and still are awesome but he sucked hard in allot of live shows according to my friends that saw them in concert in the 90s. Gavin......long live him!!!
+Zohraish Virani They were enormously popular in the 90's. Think, Blink-182 type popluar. My older sister showed me them when I was just a kid, and have been listening to them ever since.
Bush with glycerine when my dad passed outin 1996 listening to glycerine BushX song and vibration has been there. Was magic ! THanks Buddy (the singer) memories i will never forget !!!!
Well I'm not in high school anymore either im 24 and I purely just enjoy good music!! Bush is one off those bands you never get tired of .. Always a refreshing band no matter what
i find myself coming back to this song from time to time, its an absolute banger!!!
Same for me! Excellent!

It's a great song and sounds like something Gavin would have written in the 90s

's riffs here are phenomenal, 10 years of loving this and counting.
Hes destroying it what's happened to rock?
Si Claro!
Yeah the guy can shred!

I just saw Bush live in Vancouver - Canada 🇨🇦 tonight (Dec 5, 2023) 😎 I arrived at home and this song is stuck in my head 🎶
This is the reason why I love music like this.
Truthful,
Meaningful,
Realistic,
Sound is tranquil, not even, its so beautiful you cannot fit a word to explain it.
I really love this song, its unbelievable how incredible they are in concert!!!
If you keep making the music, we'll keep on listening.
People don't understand the level of intelligence Gavin Rossdale has. His consistency in writing lyrics over 30 years that make you feel what he's saying.
well Sound of winter is my favourite Bush song so i think that says a lot after all the great songs before
the deeper meaning of this song is so beautiful. the guitar is immaculate. so well written
2023 and I still listen this song. definetly underrated song. I love the guitar parts here. found myself here. very good!
Once you hear it you can't stop listening to it!!! Great song!
true
Bush, Soundgarden (Chris Cornell), Pearl Jam, Audioslave, Stone Temple Pilots (Scott Weiland), Placebo, Smashing Pumkings and more.... It feels like it was the dawn of real music. Good to know that Gavin Rossdale is still making music :)
A golden era for sure
They released a new single today.

Are they worth checking out???
My favorite bush song 🎵 ❤️
absolutely....probably tied with 'adrenaline' for me
same for sure
One of the most beautiful voices in grunge!
Grunge deserves a revival.
I Thought Bush were post grunge
More like post grunge
I play this song at LEAST once during a long drive. Bush is one of those timeless bands IMO. Don't kill me for thinking so.
Heard this song on the radio today for the first time in a few years. It's what I needed to hear
Bush is 1 of the most popular bands of the 1990s. I dedicated this song to my buddy ale who passed away who i volunteer with for 6 years. Bush rules.
Mind strong, body strong
Try to find equilibrium
Head straight, screwed on
We screwed up for too long
I don't want to lean on the waves
I watched the storm evaporate
I think of you and starry skies
That keeps you so alive
Let's walk through the fire together
Disappear in the golden sands
It's all in your face
I see a break
It's like the sound of winter
The bleeding of love
The silent escape
You've got to hang on to yourself
It's like the sound of winter
Medusa smiles and Judas lips
Open arms and finger tips
Love bites, and recompense
I'll be with you until the end
Let's walk through the fire together
Disappear in the golden sands
It's all in your face
I see a break
It's like the sound of winter
The bleeding of love
The silent escape
You've got to hang on to yourself
All in your face
I see a break
It's like the sound of winter
The bleeding of love
The silent escape
You've got to hang on to yourself
It's like the sound of winter
Hang on to yourself
Hang on to yourself
It's like the sound of winter
It's all in your face
I see a break
It's like the sound of winter
The bleeding of love
The silent escape
You've got to hang on to yourself
It's like the sound of winter
It's like the sound of winter
Hang on to yourself
Hang on to yourself
Respectfully, it's "BEEN screwed up for too long" and "I see YOU break".
My favourite Bush song...I love Gavins voice in the later years it is natural and not overly growly like the early material...I can finally hear his real pure voice
Great song. Always makes me relive good times & bad..
Just saw em live in vegas..sound just like this..they put on a great rock show after all these years still
Gavin Rossdale - hottest man ever. I don't understand why he's not the most sought after man. He's talented, intelligent, gorgeous... His shows rock my socks off. Love and respect Gavin and Bush!!!❤❤❤
C Z because he cheated on his wife with the nanny ??
"It's all in your face; I see you break. It's like the sound of winter."
When words that are formed into lyrics become poetic art.
Gonna see them next month, love Bush and this song is great. This song gives me motivation and a feeling. I miss music that used to stir feelings and emotions
Any man who can rhyme Equilibrium,

All of them have rock and good taste in common, but each one of them have known how to mantain their own music style through the years!
I agree... America is missing the Grung / Alternative scene / music!!! This Music is sooo full & sooo touching!
Missing the 90's during Covid & Always ❣
Most o those groups didn’t last. How many of the big grunge groups lead singers are still alive? There’s also been a shift of popular music.
I agree, im in my teen years and I know all of those bands. They are all so BOMB- 🤩🤘
I've loved this song thanks Bush for almost 2 decades of thrills
Bush does still rock!
Yep and they have a great body of work that spans decades now. Not just the great album Sixteen Stone. Please God take me back to the 90s!!!

Why dont the masses recognize there has never been a lyricist like Gavin Rossdale? No one can f with his skills!
Still walking through the fire together! BUSH!
He worked 'Recompense' into a song.
Man, you gotta love bush.
This is by far the best song from Bush I heard thus far.
This is the Bush we all love and remember. Never was a big fan of chemicals between us really. But other than that, this song reminds me of their 90s stuff as well.
Joseph Gorbach Science of Things was a good album, not Sixteen Stone good but still pretty good
I will forever love this song!
I grew up listening to 90s rock but I have to say none has been more meaningful to me than bush’s music
I think it's so narrow-minded to say these older bands don't have what it takes anymore. If their music doesn't connect with you maybe it's you who has changed. Admittedly Bush have lost that dirgey grungey noise they used to have, and a fair bit of their confused angry young man appeal, but they're older, and so are we - the fans, and their new stuff is so good. New stuff from bands like Pearl Jam, Bush, Soundgarden, Faith No More, Filter, et al is just so much better than the majority of rubbish that comes from other new bands (though of course there're some excellent new bands).

IDK that it's a bad thing to love an album and strongly wish for a nearly identical follow up. Too many bands put out phenomenal first or second albums then "go in another direction creatively" which amounts to shit music their fans can't dig on which brings a new audience of tone deaf tasteless MFs and then that's it. Bye bye great band, hello washed up losers.
I can think of ten bands off the top of my head I thought were really going places. Yet when you look at my iPad it has those band's first or second album on it and then one song from each of the following albums, if I'm lucky.
