Me and this song has history together. During 2019-2020 I spent a year and a half in jail (Rikers Island) awaiting trail for a crime I didn't do.
During my wait in that hell hole of a prison. I was treated with such disrespect, talked to and locked in the cage as if I was an animal and attacked by the guards/pro-team officers. However everytime I heard this song play on the radio it gave me motivation, gave me courage and gave me faith that I would be out of that place one day and due to COVID-19 and then the Floyd riots I was released and is blessed/thankful that I have finally found this song that kept me going.
