Dinosaur photo bomb! Those goats want to be milked! Cooperation there! Great job running all those wires! Neutral axis drilling to run the wires, terrific! The middle of the beams has the least stress on the wood so good place to drill a hole. He Man, he has the potential for POWER. Nice minibike. Thanks for this!
Great team effort. Love watching a family work together. There is so much positive energy. Love you guys.
Love the animals. Especially the goats.
You are all awesome!! Thank you for sharing!!!
Thanks for watching!
Looks like you're on the fast track now, guys! From my screen, everything is looking good on my end! 😍🤙🏼🏜
Wow, it's coming along.................Looks very complicated to do. I am learning a lot watching you guys...
Looking great. When you said you were going to get a breaker box I thought you were going to test to see if everything worked properly using the generator. But I was wrong. Yea of little faith.lol I enjoy watching your family. "Hey that my woman". Jonathan loves you so much.
Loving T-Rex's cameo appearances.
Friday night with my favorite family on youtube woohoo❤
Yep your getting closer looks awesome
Oh man....you guys!!!! Looking so good!!!!
YAAAY IT'S FRIDAY 👍😊 Wow Good job folks... And yes soon you'll have Power 😂love the sunset and sunrise ❤️
you guys are making huge progress. Looks fantastic!
Awesome! Keep up the good work God bless amen. 👍☺🇺🇸
You guys are always like a breath of fresh air 🌅🙂
Awe thanks. :)
Great update guys. Wiring is always so much fun ... especially on and over irregular surfaces. If it’s still open it’s worth snapping pictures of every wall and making a book. We’ve found ours incredibly valuable$! Have a great weekend.
Eventually we’ll make a wire guide like we did in the AIrstream - products.tinyshinyhome.com/airstream-renovation-wire-guide
@@TinyShinyHome Yep! It saves a lot of head scratching. We also took pictures of all of our wiring and plumbing in the walls before we closed them up. Keeps os from accidentally making a non-wire out of a perfectly good wire when making a mod to something else. Wind kicked up again up here. Not impossible to work in but it is a pain! Have a good one.
Again, really enjoying your music choices, especially how you got the beat to align exactly with tapping in the staples. Nice touch! My weekly trip to Arizona, vicariously.
Im excited to watch u guys build w bags i found u thru my littlehomestead im enjoying watching u build ur home
Thanks for coming over from MLH but this is actually not our home. Just a solar shed:) house begins later this year!
So close!! Can't wait to see the difference
I'm glad you make it fun doing things together. The best way to test it is put a 12v battery at one end and stick your tongue on the other end, If it hurts, it's connected....lol God Bless
love watching u guys!!
I can’t believe how quickly the time goes by when y’all start your craziness! But I’m for sure sad when it ends. You work so well together! My 4 kids would have killed each other! You need to have a segment on each blog called the 99 Minute and just dedicate it to him and his wackiness. You’re doing such a great job! Keep it up! Can’t wait til next time!!!
Nice 👍👍👍 work guys
Great program
You guys always make my day. Thank you for educating us in a humorous way😍❤️🌹
I'm impressed how much progress you guys make each week! SHINE!
Your eldest daughter did some good filming not to fast neither. Your coming along at great paces. X
I hope you are doing a full geek out video on your solar choices.
Oh trust me there will be plenty of geeking 😉
Looks great! Nine Nine and the goats are so adorable. 🥰
Was wondering what’s the temperature like inside the solar shed - is it noticeably cooler, even without a door? Also, has anyone decided to camp out in there yet? 😃
Nice!
That goat milkin facility is supa groovey ..yes sirree bob ..😍😎😁pip pips and carryon pilgrims
The connector is called: 2 screw connector, ar least in California. Electrician for commercial/residential- you guys look like you're doing things correctly, btw. Good choice on using direct burial rated wire- seems to be a good fit, for your needs. If you have any questions, you can dm me. Love the videos, great job. I've never seen this hyper Adobe, just super adobe; so this is very interesting to me. I live near Cal Earth Institute, so I get the whole concept. Keep up the good work!
Hey thanks. Any idea how we could test the wires before cob goes over them? We don’t have our solar system set up yet.
@@TinyShinyHomewe call them romex connectors in tennessee ! as for testing just tie your neutral /white wire and hot/ / black wire together at one end or the other and check for continuity at the other end with a volt meter !
Bird really close to the microphone. 😄
wow, so much wiring, I'd have to stick with one electric line for my laptop and a candle .LOL! great video, love the shots of nine-nine and the chickens N goats.
Hi. A couple of ideas & a question
1) It may be an idea to check that your lights etc. work before you start cobbing the inside. That way, if there are problems you can sort them out before you have to uncover them.
2) Would you consider letting your older children so some of the electrical connections?
I know the shed is not finished yet, and it is not the height of summer, but can you tell how comfortable it is going to be, is it already staying a comfortable 70 degrees inside when it is hotter outside?
We can’t check anything until we have actual power to test it with. Remember we’re completely off-grid, and the whole solar side of this setup is still in planning stages. Best we could do is some sort of continuity check on the ends of each wire.
Hard to tell on temp. Earthbag isn’t actually insulative. We can tell a difference, but until it’s completely closed in with the door and some window shades on that large west facing window we won’t know for sure.
Have you decided what you are going to do for the ceiling? If I remember correctly you were originally going to to install it first so you could cob up to it. Wood planks would look awesome. As you won’t need to much, you might be able to find a small lot of hardwood flooring pretty cheap. MLH used laminate they bought from someone online.
We have a good idea of what we’ll be using. We’re going to start at the bottom and go up so we have some time to finalize our plans. :)
Looking forward to seeing what you choose💕
Nine nine ♡
Whoo hoo 👍💕
I noticed you ran outdoor Romex for your interior. Pain in the rear to work if you do not handle correctly.
Yep.
Yes because all the wire will buried in dirt and cob. Would probably have been ok with normal, but didn’t want to risk it.
So much work! I am tired! You must be exhsusted! But I am old enough to be your mother, so probably not! Good job! I admire your effort and goals!
We’re moving right along. So much plaster to get on these walls!
Good job guys ! Will you need an inspection for your electricity installation ?
Nope no inspections with the owner builder opt out.

The best thing on this channel, the true star of the show are your youngest daughter's boots
Do you make cheese with your goat milk? When I had milk goats I would make my own cheese. I found the simplest way was to put the milk in my crockpot on the lowest setting. Cooking it for hours until the curds and whey separated. I would then hang the curds in cheese cloth from a cupboard handle over a bowl. Whey has a lot of nutrients in it too.
We actually made our first batch the other day!
A Yorkshire outlined the nightmares and see how they made their milking machine and then you know get it more for yourselves
You may regret cobbing over the wires without testing the circuits. Hopefully, all will go well. Really enjoying your Vlog.........................>
Any ideas on how to test when there’s no power source?
@@TinyShinyHome A 12 volt battery and a voltmeter will let you check continuity in each of the lines
At 20:16, is that a bracket in the Left wire coming out of the lightswitch?! Or just a trick of the light?
Not sure - it’s a metal light switch box that does have strain relief built in. Maybe that’s what you’re seeing.
💓💓💓💓💓
Are each of the kuds gonna get to build their own room ????
Yep
Just wondering what your original estimate was for how long the start-to-finish time would be for the whole shed project.
We didn’t have one. This is all a learning process or us. It’s a ton of physical labor, so it takes a lot of time.
Did you run 3 strand (three wires, plus one ground) to the light/fan? When I wired mine and I was able to put two switches on the circuit. One switch controls the light, the other the fan. Now I do not have to pull chains to control the operations.
It’s just a single gang switch so just one regular wire.
How hard was it to hammer the U staples into the bags?
We had trouble getting them to stay in. The gauge was too big, and I-nail was too narrow. Highly recommend the proper cable staples through.
Hello there I am new to your sight but love everything I have seen. I noticed the strainer you used to strain the milk . Would it work for hot liquid and if so do you know where you got it?
The strainer uses cloth filters and I know it works for cows milk too, not sure how hot you’re talking. Just search milk filters on Amazon:)
@@TinyShinyHome Thank you for the reply . have a Safe and Blessed future
Have you thought about using cork in your cob for sound
We haven’t. But we’ll have to research that!
Where you live, are there building code and inspections?
Yes to code, we opted out of inspections with the owner builder opt out.
Where is your ground rod and wire
Nothing is hooked up yet. We’ll cover that later
Lol at 0:07 😂😂😂
Hiya, do you need to ground it?😊
We will when it gets hooked up. No power and nothing is hooked up yet;)
next time lay the electrical as you bag....that's what MLH does on their builds....
Yep. That’s one way to do it. But we want to be able to access the wires if we ever need to.
Don't you know what happens if you give goat's milk to cats? They get all happy and content and stuff!
Nope you forgot you need a earth wire bashed a rod in the ground about 12 feet or really 9ft will do you need it also on the solar panels you need one out there to you dont want to get struck with lightning also you should with the kids install a earth leakage as well save the kids not getting electrocuted ok just advising you ok Safety stuff look on the net you find out what you need i used rebar on mine you can easy put i in before you do the floor and a good clamp and thick wire to the electric panel inside the building
We know. We’re not done…nothing is actually hooked up to any power. It’s all good.
You guys should pretend like it's the master bedroom once in a while when you have no guests.
Pshh it WILL be our master bedroom unless guests are here. Until we build the house at least.
Shouldn't you have run those wires through the tubes they use for protection of electrical wirering? If the cob is acidic, it could be eating away the wiring insulation. And you don't want that to happen.
This is bury-able romex, made for being in the ground. I don’t think acidic cob is a thing 😂
@@TinyShinyHome - We have acidic rain here, so then the soil becomes acidic too. And I just read about the acidic soil in Ghana. I don't know if your mix is acidic or not.
An hour...😂😂😂😂😂😂
I know, right. 😂
@@TinyShinyHome just wait for when you start connecting the boxes together...
