BMW 135i Convertible E88 Manual Test Drive POV

I did own a 135i convertible, manual. That was until the driver at fault demolished my car. But that BMW kept me alive. It did its job.
I do miss that car. Top down, perfectly warm day, charging up mountain roads; few things can beat that.

I can totally understand, the 1 series models with a 6 cylinder engine are the essence of BMW Driving Passion. Love these cars myself too, sorry for you to hear that it was demolished. What did you replace it with?

@@drivingpassioncars Thank you for the kind words. I eventually got it replaced with a 2013 135is! haha. It is also a convertible, 6 speed manual. I couldn't believe I found it.
But the 135i is a very good car. I didn't know this about the car, but awhen I got impacted from the rear, a sensor detected the hit and automatically shut off the engine, which turned off the fuel pump. The point of impact on the frame bent nearly 90 degrees, but held. It was a large SUV that hit me from behind (driver was heads down on her cell phone). The fuel tank did not rupture. And the rear head rests popped up in the event of a rollover.
The 135i is a great vehicle. Fun to drive and it will do its best to keep you safe.
