Fabulous! Such iconic cars Mazda were ahead of their time in the 60s, 70s and 80s.
This car just became available in Forza Horizon 4 and turned it to a racer and it sounds pretty close to that and just as fast. Thank you for your awesome video and showing this car running with big boys and whupping them real good!!!!!✌️🤟
Way back in the 70's, I drove one of these Mazda's, and having only driven the usual 1970's English cars before, this seemed like a rocket-ship with it's seemingly never ending engine revs!
Awesome. Which track? I watched these RX-3s at Laguna Seca and they were very quick and loud.

What do you use to record sound? I've watched a ton of videos and the sound editing on this is better than even live broadcasts! I've heard these cars in person and this video transports me right back to the track!

LOL its like the ONLY engine you can hear in the race.... what engine is it? sounds too loud to be a turbo but the idle wasnt that chunky enough to be a peripheral or J or bridgey.

Why is there electrical tape over the head lights?
to prevent glass shattering all over the track in case you hit something
Stops the glass from shattering, if rocks hit it.
the "brap" sound is the oil blowing out the exhaust .. lol
The brap is from the cross over between the intake and exhaust phase from the engine being ported. Oil in your exhaust is the snap crackle and pops as well as flames.
