Out of all the food channels I've looked over on youtube, yours is by far the easiest to follow and the food looks (I can't even put it in words). Thank you, I'll be stealing your recipes from now on
I just did them! They were amazing! Thanks for this recipe! I didn't have celery salt, but I added a bit of thyme. I have a little tip for all of you guys. If you preffer soft skin insead of a crunchy one I sudgest putting the fried chicken fingers into a bowl and covering them for about 10 minutes. :)
Do you have an oven baked version of this recipe? Thank you for all your wonderful down to earth instructional cooking. Love your passion for good cooking. God Bless.
These are absolutely fantastic. I made them last night for the first time and turned out by FAR the best I've ever made, first try!! LOVED them!! Now I just have to convince myself not to make these every night... A bit time consuming to prepare, but WELL WORTH it. Thank you for sharing this with us!
This is definitely the best video on how to cook chicken fingers, great job with this. I pretty much came to this conclusion after testing multiple times although I wish I found this video sooner for the saved time lol
kenny omega they don’t know what they are talking about, seasoning the flour won’t make the chicken taste bitter or burn. People have been making their chicken like this for decades! The person who said that can’t cook or put too much paprika on their chicken. Paprika doesn’t have a taste, it just for the brown coloring unless you use too much.
Laura, I'm in an Indian and you have been my inspiration to try out different cuisines! I take off sometime everyday to watch your videos! I love your pastry recipes! They turn out perfect every time I bake!
I made this yesterday, it was so good! I made 10 big, long tenders for me & the fam and guess what! They're all gone... lol. I didnt have buttermilk so I jist used 1 c of milk and added 1 tbsp of apple cider vinegar. Worked just fine. Double dipping makes all the difference...so crunchy and moist. Thanks Laura!
I didn't mean to post so many fried recipes. I film fried foods in batches so I don't waste the oil, but sine I wasn't able to film due to my accident, we had to kind of post them back to back otherwise we wouldn't have had recipes to post. This will be the last fried recipe I will be posting for a while. Fried food is a treat and in my home and we don't eat it often. Just remember that you aren't forced to make any of these recipes.
i love this recipe but when she puts them in oil.. does the oil splatter all over the place? or is it a special non-splatter oil? Because usually when I use oil it splatters all over the place (including me and I almost lose an eyeball from it)
Vintageart1994 dont drop in oil, just dip it gently so that oil wont pop,and make sure no water meets oil coz that is the main reason for hot oil to pop..just overcome ur fear and u can deep fry easily
Your oil temperature is probably too high. You can get a decent candy thermometer for about $5 USD. Food is usually fried between 350-375F. Another good and inexpensive investment would be a mesh splatter screen.
I never liked butter milk but if I want my fingers to look like that I'll buy a small carton of it that looks delicious I'm glad I tuned into Laura she's beautiful with bubbly & bright personality. She lightens anyone's day I already tried her Quesadilla recipe & that turned out great looking forward to trying more of her recipes.
1-1/2 lbs of Chicken Tenderloins 1-1/2 cups of Buttermilk 1-1/2 cups of All Purpose Flour 1 tsp of Celery Salt 1 Tbsp of Paprika 2 tsp of Granulated Onion 2 tsp of Granulated Garlic Salt and Pepper, to taste A Few Dashes of Hot Sauce Vegetable Oil, for frying
Hey Laura I tried your your recipe. It turned out Good. The only thing in your list of ingredients it says to use 1 1/2 cups of flower. I did as you suggested and doubled dipped. I used closer to 2 1/2 cups. I was a little worried that 5 min was not long enough but I checked and it was 175%. I was surprised it cook so fast and the crust was not all that hard. The biggest problem I had was finding " granulated onion and granulated garlic " could not find those so I used minced onion and garlic powder. Still it turned out good. Thanks for sharing.
OMG those tenders are huge! In Australia tenders are about 1/3rd of that size. Those look about as big as our chicken breasts. Clearly we have a lot to learn about roiding our chooks the American way.
Thanks for this great recipe! Usually I don't deep fry any food, but these chicken fingers are sooooo yummy, so moist in the inside and crispy on the outside!!!
I've made these twice now, sooooo yum! The crispy bits are the best!! I used to make them with eggs and flour but you can't get the crispy bits that way. Thanks Laura, you're the best!!
Laura Vitale is the sh*t! Always whippin' up some tasty in the kitchen. Whenever I'm unsure about a recipe, technique, or procedure; I check Laura's videos first.
Laura, I just made these yesterday and I have to say, hands down, these were the best chicken tenders I've ever had. So delicious. Thanks for the recipe!
YUM! These turned out great! I used the DIY buttermilk recipe that you have on your channel, Laura. I actually did use extra virgin olive oil and pan fried them instead of deep frying, flipping them for 5 minutes on each side. They still came out AMAZINGLY crispy and so yummy!
ugh i love your channel laura 💜 I'm also a super foodie. i love chicken, dessert and italian recipes. and i'm really happy i found your channel. life changing
It's ok don't be scared of the oil you just have to be careful and make sure there is no water dropping in the hot oil or it will catch on fire being 13 and cooking is scary but I Learned from my mistakes mistakes
O common I am not a professional either but putting items into hot stuff with thongs and flipping them once then taking them out. Not much danger involved as long as you don't stick your hand in the pot or some how tip the pot over ( hard to do).
Your presence is awesome but these chicken fingers aren't the traditional chicken fingers I'm used to cooking. This is far from how you make chicken fingers!
Laura, you are such an inspiration to get into the kitchen. I might not be doing all the cooking now, but when I get my own place, your videos will be going on my tablet all the time while I'm cooking :)
I loved this recipe it was super easy to put together all things we have in our kitchen already!! My recommendation would be seriously wait till the chicken i room temp in the buttermilk! Definitely double dip if you like crisper coating... if you leave these to long the outside will get rock hard even with the inside being tender! So watch the coloring while frying 😁
I didn't mean to post so many fried recipes. Chicken Cutlet is probably Chicken Escalope. I make it and it's so good. I put parmesan cheese with the bread crumbs. DIVINE! I am sure these are delicious. Will definitely try them! thanks Laura xoxo
Best chicken tenders I’ve ever thanks to you. I know this a 9 yr old video but following you to the point makes perfectly crispy crusts but a juicy tender.
I really, REALLY like the fact you're not doing the typical flour-egg-breadcrumb method. Marinading is key, and flour can give you a crunchy coating that doesn't absorb excess amounts of oil. Great technique!
you can make your own buttermilk. Search my channel for buttermilk recipe and It will bring you to my video on how to make a buttermilk version at home.
add vinegar or lemon juice to regular milk and it makes buttermilk. The oil you will just have to keep an eye on it. drop in a small piece of the chicken to see if it bubbles and float when you drop it in.
Hi Laura, I have a recipe suggestion for you. It's a middle eastern dish that we call machboos. It's basically chicken and rice with our spices. You can look on the Internet for the recipe or of you can't find it tell me and I'll give you it. I really hope you read this comment because machboos is a really yummy dish.
First I followed your Buttermilk recipe and then the chicken fingers for my Kiddos. I know they came out perfect as they loved them. Thank you for the recipe. Though, I was wondering if we could bake these chicken fingers !!!!!
Hi Laura! Awesome recipes! :) I haven't tried any of them yet - actually, I have never cooked, but watching your videos really inspired me to try and cook (and it makes my mouth water - a LOT). I'm in a hostel now, so can't cook here, but I've already decided which ones I'm going to try at home when I go for Christmas - thank you for being so bubbly and making me believe that even a klutz like me can try cooking a little. :)

Agreed!
Made this & it was amazing!! The double dipping REEEAAAALLY makes it crispy.

These are absolutely fantastic. I made them last night for the first time and turned out by FAR the best I've ever made, first try!! LOVED them!! Laura I LOVE you! Every single recipe has been a huge hit! So easy and simple but soooooooooooo good!!!!

Merari G can i use chicken breast and just slice it?
Sri Apriyani, did you ever use the chicken breasts to make this? That's what I want to do, use chicken breast so I just thought I'd ask.
Of course you can use chicken breast and slice it, that's where the tenders come from 🤦
My 5 year old and I always say so adorable to your cooking shows. Great food and recipes! Thank you Ms Laura!
lurrrrr vitale
IM CRYINNNNNNNNN
LMAO
I can’t 💀😭🤣
Ben Perlmutter LOL
Lmfaoooooo
You, Dear Lady, bring so much joy into my life! Much obliged!
Should season the chicken beforehand. Paprika burns if blended with the flour and creates a bitter flavor when it hits the oil.
Untrue it’s okay to mix the seasoning in the flour. Paprika will not burn, it that was the case her chicken would have burned, duh 🙄
kenny omega they don’t know what they are talking about, seasoning the flour won’t make the chicken taste bitter or burn. People have been making their chicken like this for decades! You can use 1 cup milk and 1 teaspoon of vinegar or lemon juice. Blend milk and solution and set for 5 to 15 minutes.
Thanks a lot!!!!
Thanks for the buttermilk recipe ❤️😘
See reply above.

thank you, I am feeling better! :)
Laura, your recipes are always so delicious, thank you. I can't wait to make these.
So delicious.. I think using a deep fryer would be easier as you can control the temp easier. Thanks for the great recipe.
I really, REALLY like the fact you're not doing the typical flour-egg-breadcrumb method. Marinading is key, and flour can give you a crunchy coating that doesn't absorb excess amounts of oil. Great technique!
