For anyone struggling with breading falling off: make sure the oil is hot enough before dropping in your chickens. If you're unsure, toss a pinch of flour into the oil and if it dissolves right away, you're good to go. Also, if your oil is too hot, it can burn your breading. Adjust heat from high to a medium high. Thanks for the great recipe!
Hi Anita! I made these today, chicken tendies are basically non-existent here in Israel because according to Jewish law you can't mix milk with meat and vice versa, I won't even consider calling myself religious so I gave it a go, first time trying chicken tendies and these came out excellent!!!! I added some baking powder to the wet batter so it'll come out even more crispier and indeed it was extremely crispy and flavourful, thank you very much for including metric/weight measurements on your websites because we don't measure stuff here by volume, delicious!!!
Just made these for my wife and they were so crispy and crunchy. The breading did not peal away from the chicken. I didn’t have time to marinate and it still tasted fantastic. Can’t wait to experiment with this 👌🏼
I made this today and it was the best fried chicken I've ever eaten ( and I'm Southern, so that's saying a lot ). Thank you so much for sharing this recipe.
This video makes so much sense. I've been wanting to make these for the longest time I've been doing it wrong. I put egg in one plate, flour in another, yogurt and breadcrumbs in another. But it never does stick or comes out right. I'll try this method tomorrow. So excited. This channel will be my number 1 in Ramadan as I'm off work due to the pandemic. I love cooking too. It'll keep me busy exploring where I've gone wrong in my cooking skills. Thank you for this Channel Anita.
I’m trying this now. It better work😳I’ve tried everything. And my coating ALWAYS comes off. Update: It was a success!!!!🙌🏾. I find the coating adheres to the chicken even better as it cools. So there you have it😊😊😊
These are amazing! They come out soo crunchy and delicious! I did add salt and pepper to the wet batter though, and didn't add sea salt to the dry mix.
Thanks for an AMAZING recipe ! The first time it turned out perfectly ! Yummy ! Now my family is addicted and I am about to start my 4th Batch in 2 weeks !!!! The marinade of milk, vinegar & my homemade salsa is SO good ! It makes the chicken so juicy & flavorful ! Yes marinate it overnight ... That’s pretty standard for any fried chicken recipe . The dry, wet then dry coating is really great !!! I use a wok to fry til golden then drain on paper towels . They store really well in the fridge ( in a container ) and also reheat easily . It’s so yummy I have tossed out ZERO leftovers from this recipe ! No waste and 100% delicious !!! ♥️🙏♥️🙏♥️🙏♥️🙏♥️
Just made this for dinner. Only had 2 lbs of chicken tenderloins, so I reduced everything by half. And WOW! I’ve been doing fried chicken wrong all along! And the kids loved it! Thanks!!
Made this tonight for dinner. My husband is very picky about Chicken (he likes his best more) But he loved this!! Has great flavor and it was moist and crunchy!! Only thing I had a problem with is when you take a bite the breading falls off! But that happens all the time.
Make sure to dry your chicken with paper towels after it's done marinating, then start the dredging process. I've always had the same issue with the breading falling off too, it was because my chicken was too wet.
I am doing this tonight for dinner and can't wait to see how crispy it turns out. Everyone else seems to have such a positive outcome from it I'm so excited. Kids will definitely love this.
Yes..great recipe...I got the crunchy I ever made 😋but I didn't follow all the cooks directions...I will do exactly what she did next time .maybe it will not be so "floury" but the crunchy parts were yummers...ty cooklady!🎉😊
Now that looks awesome I seen so many crispy chicken recipes it doesn't even come close what you've done simple simple simple and thank you very much I will try this one this weekend once again thank you
I tried it tonight and I was very disappointed maybe my fire wasn't hot I know but when I took them out the grease and start the bite into them the coating fell out
I have now made this recipe every time for my chicken sandwiches and your garlic green beans are my favorite so much flavor with such simple ingredients. So that’s two for two of your recipes that I love and I just realize that they were both from your channel so I will be checking out your other recipes for sure thank you
Love, love, love 😍 this recipe. The best things are you are likely to have all the ingredients and 2ndly a batter then a crumb i think make the crispiest chicken by far! 😊 🐔
Unfriggen believable, my chicken was DELICIOUS, it came out looking like yours. I'm so proud of myself, and I actually got 6 thumbs up at the dinner table. Everyone had both there thumbs up. I want to Thank You from the bottom of my heart for getting my whole family at the dinner table all at once. It has been years since I seen that happen. This will be my Go To Chicken from now on. I'm going to go through the rest of your videos to see what you have cooking, as soon as I Subscribe. Thanks Again from New Hampshire. ♥️😷🧤
Just made this recipe and it turned out great! Very juicy chicken with the overnight marinate. WARNING:make sure your oil is between 350-370. I tossed my chicken in the oil and it burned within seconds. Grease was over 500 degrees. Good thing I had a big batch left to correct the temp. Also this is good with just the marinade and flour. Still very crispy
I love you Anita ❤️😘 you are my favorite ❤️😅 your style of cooking is the best... and I would love to ask you about how can I make the perfect garlic sauce and perfect Ric...thank you Anita ❤️💐
As a widowed father of 3 boys since 2005 I'm no novice at fried chicken or cooking in general. In fact I quite enjoy cooking for family and friends. Looking for something a bit different for this week I figured I'd give this recipe a try. I followed the recipe exactly for the first 1/3rd of the batch, then altered it a bit for the last 2/3rds. Having brined the chicken tenders overnight in the buttermilk, I found that the double coating was a bit too much. After 6 or so pieces of that, I went straight from the buttermilk brine into the flour and that was it. Those with the single coating turned out better in everyone's opinion. With 350 (F) oil they were a 3 minute cook and done. The double dip I left in the oil for 4 minutes and while they came out darker, the coating was not cooked all the way through and we could taste the raw flour. Not good. The chicken underneath was wonderful, juicy and tender. We just scraped off the outer coating. My normal way of making chicken (Katsu we call it) is to brine it for 30 minutes in water w/salt, then drain and run through a three step dredge station that includes (1) seasoned flour, (2) egg wash, and finally (3) Pankow flakes. Those always turn out wonderful. Next time I'm going to try a hybrid and brine the chicken in the buttermilk overnight, then take right from the brine into some Pankow flakes that I've seasoned. It'll save a couple of steps. We'll see if it works.
I tried this but my mom didn't let me get a full pot of oil. I had to use like 2 spoon fuls so when I got done the outside looked grilled without the grill marks. It was still super good tho although I didn't use oregano or hot sauce.
I just flat out use two eggs and rice crispy mixed with onion powder and garlic. Also don't need all that oil I just use spray olive oil. I got great pans tho. I dip it in egg and rice crispy twice and turns out crispy everytime.

Hi 😊, how are you
I ran into this problem where the breading came off. I changed the temperature to 350 instead of 275 and that fixed it.
Thank you
if you have time try putting the coated chicken tenders in the fridge for about an hour before frying
Thx

YOU LEFT THE OIL ON THAT WHOLE TIME !
Hahahaha

I made this today and it was the best fried chicken I've ever eaten ( and I'm Southern, so that's saying a lot ). Thank you so much for sharing this recipe.
Wonderful! 😀👍
If a southern person give you a compliment about chicken it no longer a compliment, but an HONOR!

Bruh 🤣🤣🤣💀😑
Step one :Heat the pan with vegetable oil
Step 2:Leave buttermilk and chicken for 2 hours😂
Hahahaha🤣🤣🤣🤣
My thoughts exactly, lol. Step3, call 911 to put out fire
I looked in the comments specifically for someone calling this out lol
After 15 minutes it looks like a glaas of milk that turned into cheese
In fact she marinated it for over night 😂😂😂

Thank you I made mine just the way you said except added 2 more different seasonings but came out real good 😊
Sounds great!
Thanks a million Anita! I have been trying for years to get my chicken this crispy. Wow!
😁👍
You can also add cornstarch to the flour to add extra crispiness. Just ask the Asians.
Thanks for an AMAZING recipe !
