0:30 I'm not sure why this is unknown to you. You seem to know so much about Harry Potter that I think you would know why Dumbledoor doesn't apperate on the Front steps of #4 Private Drive. He explains this in The Half Blood Prince when Harry asks him why they apperate a couple of blocks from their destination. It is considered very rude to apperate so close to a residence you plan to visit (as opposed to your own home.) If you apperate some distance away it gives the person you wish to visit some time to decide if they want to see you. It's the same reason muggles knock on the door rather than just barge in.
Rather condescending tone for a comment that makes no sense. 1. Your explanation implies that Dumbledore would want to be seen, which he clearly doesn't (hence the deluminator). 2. If 1 didn't explain this, it's a secret drop off, not a visit. 3. That's a rule for wizards, somehow I don't think it applies to muggles....lol There are many other good explanations. Like he wanted to be able to turn off the lights before getting to the front steps, wanted to make sure people weren't around to see him apparatate in ect ect.
He wasn't entering the home and I don't think he would care. Honestly I think it was more out of caution, like approach from a distance instead of dropping right in.
They didn't leave the resurrection stone "just anywhere". I always took it as Harry dropping the stone near the acromantula clearing (where the Death Eaters were). Therefore, when the acromantula go back, they would involuntarily protect it.
That's actually a really nice theory. I mean, they're giant territorial spiders. Who's gonna want to risk dealing with that, just to a find a rock on the forest floor that might not even be there, right?

Just like you stated, Dumbledore was a particularly brilliant wizard, for all we know, 'inventor' might be another in his list of accomplishments. He could have a chance of random items the created that will probably never see the light of day, mostly because they a) are useless to wizards as powerful as he and b) didn't bring him any close to his goal. After all, he hinted at several instances in the series that he'd perhaps researched or was continuing research into the role of emotions (such as love) on magic, and the magic they themselves possess. His research into the Power of Love™, regret, and Obscurials may be what drove the creation of the Deluminator. And, while it couldn't bring him to his father, mother, and sister, it would have great value in reaching Grindelwald (if necessary because let's be honest, did his feelings for Grindelwald ever really die?) Aberforth, or... keeping tabs on Harry (who we know spoke of Dumbledore often and Dumbledore developed real affection for. As for the convenience of it finding it's way to Ron... Trelawney.
Do a video on where Platform 9 3/4 is. Is it really in London? Or is that just a portal to the station? Do Kids from Wales, Scotland and Ireland have to travel to Kings Cross Station, or do they just walk between platform 9 and 10 in their own countries? Harry was told London, because that is his closest station, but it seems odd that kids from all over the UK must board in London.
+Magda Lena That and it's unlikely that the fireplace of some random muggle house would be connected to the floo network anyway, they had to get the one at Privet Drive temporarily connected after all because muggle homes are usually not connected. Use of portkeys by underage wizards outside of school does seem to be allowed though that's how they got to the world cup and it was implied there was a whole bunch of them left in the form of innocuous looking objects deposited at strategic locations all set to activate only as a specific time. Presumably if they can manage the logistics of that they could do it at other times then would be a matter of sending an owl with instructions a few days before the start of term.
Fire places have to be connected to the floo network, not all fireplaces are automatically able to be used. In the books it's not a commonly used form of transportation.

Love this theory. Think you could definitely be onto something with the obscurial and deluminator connection in FB. I think its significance for Ron is metaphorical as well as physical. He 'sees the light' and knows he must return to the quest. Also, when Dumbledore first uses it in Philosopher's Stone, he is ensuring the muggle world is kept in the dark about the magic happening in their street.

Do a video on why Dumbledore was not sorted into Slytherin. It is my understanding that he shared an AMBITION with Grindiwald on the three Deathly Hallows. And Slytherin tends to have its pupils be ambitious. Also, Dumbledore was not keen on the idea of taking care of Abeforth and Ariana, which happens to show the importance of family, which is the things Godric Gryfindor looked for in his pupils. He also felt that by taking care of his siblings, the were slowing down his progress in his ambition. So why was he not sorted into Slytherin?
I've never liked that dumbledore was officially in gryffindor. Yet more of Rowling making gryffindor the "good" house with all the heroes while dumping on all the other houses. Your absolutely right that many of dumbledore's traits are very slytherin, and while he matures past some (the blind ambition) others last his whole life. Would have been a nice touch to show that slytherin is a perfectly valid house and not just the house for evil bigots if rowling had put dumbledore in there.
Yes he felt that his family was holding him back. Yet again he stayed as head of the family instead of going around the world after the Ariana incident. So he values family most. It is also stated in this video that this event haunted him all his life as confirmed by his vision while drinking Voldemort's potion. So yeah, he values family over his ambitions. Btw, he could have been minister of magic or any kind of a bigger deal than Hogwart's headmaster and yet prefered to educate pupils all his life. So ambition ? Yeah kind of, but not as a primary value. I reckon he's one of the character of the books that just fits in any house though.
Even on the Hogwarts express his first year, Albus made friends with Elphias Doge, still marked by dragon pox. If that's the sign of a Slytherin, I'll eat the sorting hat.
I am indeed watching this video two years after its release, I really do enjoy the theories. First I think Dumbledore created the object so that Dumbledore could get himself near Grindlewald. He is of course in love with the man meaning that is where his heart truly is, so if his name is said then he can eaves drop or eventually make his way to the man. Second considering that the object absorbs light its possible that it is storing the energy to be used in a transportation incantation which could indeed use up all stored energy. Then if the energy isn't needed it is just placed back to where it came from.
True though in that case that could be a side effect of them sucking the heat out of everything, suck the heat out of an incandescent bulb, plasma discharge lamp or even an candle for that matter and it stops producing visible light. The deluminator and the obscural exhibit an effect that seems to be specific to visible light sources though.
That's not exactly true -- I think a part of it is the cold, but a part of it is also just that dementors impair your ability to see light. Because it says that the stars disappear, but that can't be true for every one all the time when demetors walk about, can it?
+Roberto Fontiglia True though that could still be explained by them basically sucking up all (or at least most of) the photons in the immediate vicinity, in fact that would maybe make more sense if it's only the actual photons being affected suddenly cutting off all incoming radiation from the environment would be enough to make it feel colder though would be less likely to be the sort of you die game over cold that would be necessary to actually almost instantly stop light filaments or candles producing light in the first place. Either way though if it's something like that it's not so much that they are turning out the light as they are sucking the light energy out of the environment before you can see it. Hell come to think of it would be interested to know what happens if a dementor passes through the line of sight between a radio transmitter and it's receiver too in theory they would be the ultimate radio jammer too rather than trying to overpower the signal they would literally just absorb it completely.
If you go back to deathly Hallows, Ron stated to Harry and Hermione that he heard their voices coming from the delumintor. So definitely plausible that he made it to find grindlewald
You're really good at picking this stuff apart and putting it together to make sense. I don't even care if it's all wrong it's such a cool thing to think about
+Jeremy Lunsford Says sun is made from plasma - states the deluminator only works with electricity and fire. Looks like somebody didn't pass science in high school 😂😂
Great video J, but I can’t stop seeing the similarities between the Deluminator’s powers of being able to hear and then apparate to someone when they say a specific name (in this case the name of the owner) and Voldemort and the Snatchers’ ability to sense when someone says “Voldemort” and then being able to apparate to them. This just seems like to much of a coincidence to not have some link.
In Ron's case, it allows him to create contact with those who (presumably) WANT to have contact with him. In Voldemort's case, it allows him (and his followers) to create contact with those who want to avoid contact.
The deluminator always creeped me out a bit. The way it reacts to its bearer's name reminds me a little too much of Voldemort and how saying his name allows him to trace people.
4:13 wasn't it aberforth, Dumbledores brother, who gets tortured? Ariana just got hit by a spell not intended for her. Great vid btw just wasn't sure about this!
That is correct, it is aberforth who is tortured not ariana. He also messed up slightly saying he wanted the stone in order to return both his mother and sister, when at that point his sister was still alive. Just kinda nitpicky points but overall interesting theory.
Ariana was dead by the time Dumbledore went looking for the resurrection stone specifically before her death he just wanted to be the master of death also grindlewald was torturing both Ariana and Aberforth together
@@thea2833 No, he wanted the stone to return his mother, Dumbledore makes it very clear in the book when he said that grendelwald wanted the stone to make an army of inferi but to him it meant the lifting of all responsibility from his shoulders so he could go on and be the great wizard he wanted to be instead of being stuck taking care of his poor sister and his wayward brother, and then in the fight grendelwald does, in fact, torture Aberforth and then Ariana came, probably trying to help as Albus put it, and then she was killed. After her death grendelwald fled, Aberforth broke Albus's nose and albus was left, as he bitterly put it, free of responsibility just as he had wanted but at the expense of his sister's life. It was at this point that he changed and became the Albus Dumbledore we all know and love, and from that point on he only wanted the stone to return his family to life, but he largely gave up on searching for the Hallows at that point too (until the cloak turned up in the possession of young James potter, and then of course he found the ring a long time after that and was overjoyed thinking he would finally get to apologize to his sister and his family, but just got cursed and lost the use of his hand instead).
@Joseph Dillard Oh yeah i forgot he said that. But he still just wanted to use the stone to bring back his family after Ariana's death. before that, he just wanted to be brilliant again without his brother and sister dragging him down xx

What if Regulus Black is an animagi, and his animal form is Crookshanks. There is a lot of evidence, he appears in the third book so what abruptly. It is said that he communicates with Sirius but It is never stated that the human pretending to be an animal can talk to an animal. All though animagi can talk to their own species. Regulus is even a star in the Leo constellation, and Leo is a cat, just as Sirius is a star in the dog constellation. The relationship that regulus has with Scabbers could be thought of as a normal cat and rat, but maybe he can tell it's his brothers old friend that turned on the marauders. Regulus may have gone into hiding and faked his own death to escape Voldemort's control and later be able to come back at the exact time to be able to fight him. It is also said that there are deep scratch marks underneath Regulus's name plate on his door, that's kind of a weird detail to add. Also Crookshanks jumps on Sirius's chest just as Harry is going to kill him. Just a theory. I know JK later revealed he is half kneazle, maybe this was her original plan but then found it didn’t fit well. There are a lot of strange things that don't seem to add up to why they would happen or be there. Just a theory.
Furthermore going from Sirius's words, James had always wanted Sirius to stay as a pet. What if the same deal was offered to Regulus? This allows the SCB theory to stand as well as this one. 🤔🤔🤔 FYI, the SCB suggest that Crookshanks belonged to the Potters.
Of course Dumbledore knew that Ron would lose his way. He watched all three of the trio grow up together for 6 years, he knew their dynamic and he had seen this happen with Ron before. That's how I justify it to myself at least lol Keep up the good work brothers!
Yeah but a. it wasn't available until the Weasley twins imported it, b. you could run out of the powder and have to keep buying it, c. the powder made everything super duper dark which would make it impossible to do things in the dark like Dumbledore did in the 1st book ( when he went to Privet Drive with Hagrid and McGonagall to deliver Harry), d. the powder is temporary, whereas the deluminator removes lights until you decide to release it, e. with the powder you can't light up an area like you can with the deluminator. there are more reasons but I don't feel like going into them all.
I think a better way of thinking of how the powder works is it simply makes the air in an area opaque, so all light and sight in general is blocked. There's also the issue of the physical amount of powder it takes to block an area, which would likely be an absurd amount for covering basically an entire block.
That is an amazing discussion. Kinda sad for big D. So powerful but could never achieve what he was after, only aid those around him to get theirs. Like a muse?
I slowed down the video and watched the scene in full screen and I think your looking for things that aren't there. It looks like Credence is destroying the light bulbs not just putting them out. The way the lights go out across the movies looks completely different when you look at them one after another.
I agree. Always attributed the lights going out from credence to the idea that technology and magic don't mix. So when you have an immensely strong obscurial like that, the sheer amount of magic is just overloading the lights and making them explode.
I partly agree, partly disagree. Perhaps Ariana's obscurial wasn't that strong and Dumbledore only put a little bit into the diluminator, so the lights wouldn't break but the light would disappear until released. I also believe that it isn't just an obscurial in there but also special enchantments and spells. However, I do believe that the might be looking for something that's not there, but I did think that it was an interesting video and theory.
I don't think its a question of relative strength. Rather that the likely reason for credence putting the lights out was simply due to breaking the electronics, as opposed to obscurials having some specific power over sources of light. So ariana's obscurial being less powerful, or just a small piece, would just mean it wouldn't do anything to the light rather than actually sucking the light out in a more controlled manner. I always welcome more interesting theories but this one is just really stretching. Maybe if there was a scene of the lights going out as it approached and then coming back on after it passed... but that's not whats shown in the movie. To be fair though, there are plenty of scenes with the obscurial where it doesn't have any effect on nearby lights so you could potentially make the argument for that meaning some specific power rather than just overloading the electronics. However, on the whole that seems like a pretty weak connection.
Chris Hall Yeah, I pretty much agree, the link to the obscurials is quite a stretch for me... Although thinking about the delluminator origins is really interesting. My idea is that it's one of those «love magic» experiment that Dumbledore might have created, maybe as a way to reunite his family indeed, maybe just because that is a topic of interest for him. I mean, It's never clearly shown in the books because of harry's perspective, but I see Dumbledore as a researcher on really difficult and obscure subjects. And as any researcher, he has topics and fields of research that he's more versed and specialized into. At the beginning of his «career», it was obviously death. But then Ariana happened and he got debastated. After realizing that winning over death is impossible or at least too terrible, he matured and his interest shifted on another subject... love. We know it IS a topic of research (dpt of mystery) and a very complex one. And the delluminator obviously work through channels of love, affection and need to be together. So I feel like it is more like a late project of Dumbledore. He might actually have perfected it (and introduced the love component) AFTER Lily and James death, which is the only real «act» of «love magic» featured in the books (i know it's not an action per se, but still a magical phenomenon). So the idea of working on the magical aspects of love might have emerged from there (but that might be a stretch). If we consider that possibility, then the delluminator's origins are still unknown. But then we know that Dumbledore has always had a keen interest for muggles and muggles culture. And the delluminator is one of the rare magic that interacts with muggle technology in a reliable manner (Arthur Weasley does fiddle with that too, but in a less reliable way, as it's more of a hobby and as he's not much of a researcher or of a powerful wizard). So to me, the delluminator might actually be just a previous experiment of Dumbledore on magic and muggle technology that he used for other experiments on love magic, maybe after Lily and James died and Harry survived. Why reuse it then? Maybe it's as simple as the fact that Dumbledore is a busy man and can't spend the time to imagine and create entirely new objects for each side project he might have. So reusing an old simple and side project for a new one, more advanced seems a satisfying explanation for me, as it is not so uncommon in actual research. Sorry for the long message!
Maybe he made it to try and remove the obscurus from within his sister. Perhaps it even partly succeeded hence part of it being inside the delumanitor. Guess we will find out
Woah! Crimes of Grindewald THEORY! Credence isn't a Dumbledore but is able to summon Faux because it's Arianana's obscurial that possesses him!! The rest is a lie of Grindewald's!!
It seems like a running theme in Harry Potter that death is always calling, and to ignore its call or to try to reverse it allways leads to suffering and/or the hastening of deaths approach.
I love this Harry Potter Theories Hopefully anyone reading this Hopefully you guys have a Happy new year I need to go out My shoes are missing, I suspect Nargles are behind it ( Damn Nargles)
As to how it worked I’ve always thought it could be based around the lumos/nox spell. But I didn’t take into account the other functionality of it as a walkie-talkie thing. It would be great if Dumbledore’s motivation for creating it would be to make his own magitech version of the resurrection stone that kinda didn’t work as intended.
the lights douse out in the PoA movie when Harry is sitting beneath them before seeing Sirius in his dog form across the street, raising his wand, and summoning the Knight Bus (the lights flickering might be a movie indicator of magical presence)
I always like HP theories but this one was a huge stretch and didn't even really attempt to explain the actual complex part of the deluminator, which is ron using it to listen to and find harry and hermione. When there's so many possible things to make theories about or just discuss in HP it's kinda disappointing to see a weak theory like this come out.
Yeah, kinda have to agree with you on this one. Try as they might to convince, they fall short by stating that there is no mention of lights and magic in the books. Lights are technology and we see them in the muggle world. They're not integrated into the likes of Hogwarts because they wouldn't work, they're blow up the moment anyone tried to turn them on!

It also showed up in the fifth book when Moody escorted Harry from private drive to he headquarters and had to use it to prevent muggles from seeing them. Great video!!!!!
I think he apparated on a nearby field or something else whefe there would be no streetlight in order to not be seen accidently by some muggle, hence why he put out the lights in privet drive, so as not be seen Thats the only thing that really makes sense, i think Although im not sure if the book says he literally apparated into privet drive, havent read it in a while
Dumbledore also explained to Harry in Order of the Phoenix that it's rude to Apparate directly to someone's house. You should arrive at a respectful distance away to give them the chance to refuse to receive you as a guest.
Here's my theory, Dumbledore made this whilst at school... Here's why: Yes he was young but probably was skilled enough to make this, as according to Marchbanks "examined him personally... NEWTs... Did things with a wand I'd never seen before" (book 5) he was already amazing at magic even at school. We know that it let's you know when a loved one says your name (I think it must be a loved one otherwise Ron would've heard his family not just hermione) you also hear part of the conversation in which you were mentioned it also allows you to apparate straight to that person You can (very possibly) apparate while in areas where apparition isn't usually possible: In Book 7 Ron went behind the shed at Shell cottage and then disapparated, although we don't know for certain if there were any protective charms around the house we can be fairly certain there were at that point. Bill is certainly capable of that level of magic since later on he becomes secret keeper therefore he can cast a fidellius charm which is some tricky magic. And voldermort is on the loose so its only logical to have protective charms which i assume hasn't been made illegal by the corrupt death eater ministry. So why did he make it while at school? So that his mother could contact him if something had happened with ariana and they could apparate out of hogwarts which is usually not possible (although after seeing Crimes of grindelwald trailer... Still, it could be that the area of apparition prevention was just smaller back then, I mean they could've apparated straight to the classroom otherwise) If ariana had escaped for example all she'd have to do is say ''Albus, ariana had escaped" he could grab Aberforth and they could dissaparate to Kendra and help her find Ariana, I feel that this is important as Kendra could ask no one else to help and if anyone found out Ariana's problem all of the Dumbledores would be in trouble, and Aberforth was the best at calming her down. I think what was most likely though was that Albus made it and gave it to aberforth so he could hear Ariana if she was asking for him during one of her episodes. This seems very likely as the closest person to his heart was Arianna (certainly closer than Albus and Kendra) and since Ron didn't hear his mom it seems likely Albus wouldn't hear Kendra.
The effect of dementors seems to be much more of a perception issue centered on the person, rather than an effect on the environment. That scene in book 5 talks about all the lights disappearing from street lights to stars, as well as all the environmental sound going away leaving a black, silent place behind. Its just a very different effect from just turning off local lights like the deluminator does.
I have recently played the lego harry potter games and they added the minor detail that when ron has the deluminator out with no light in it, it sucks all the light from around him
0:35 mentioned in the half-blood prince, when harry asks to dumbledore why they didn't just apparate onto slughorns doorstep and dumbledore said it wasn't respectful
Thing is, it explains every single plot hole where Dumbledore just happens to show up, like when he turned up to the ministry 3 1/2 hours early, or when Dumbledore showed up just in time to save Harry from the big bad prof in philosophers stone.
I mean Dumbledore doesn't even need one of these things.. why go to the trouble of making something that can slowly turn out lights??

0:30 I'm not sure why this is unknown to you. You seem to know so much about Harry Potter that I think you would know why Dumbledoor doesn't apperate on the Front steps of #4 Private Drive. He explains this in The Half Blood Prince when Harry asks him why they apperate a couple of blocks from their destination.
It is considered very rude to apperate so close to a residence you plan to visit (as opposed to your own home.) If you apperate some distance away it gives the person you wish to visit some time to decide if they want to see you. It's the same reason muggles knock on the door rather than just barge in.
I was about to write the same thing :)
@@nailagciad SAME!!!
Rather condescending tone for a comment that makes no sense.
1. Your explanation implies that Dumbledore would want to be seen, which he clearly doesn't (hence the deluminator).
2. If 1 didn't explain this, it's a secret drop off, not a visit.
3. That's a rule for wizards, somehow I don't think it applies to muggles....lol
There are many other good explanations. Like he wanted to be able to turn off the lights before getting to the front steps, wanted to make sure people weren't around to see him apparatate in ect ect.
He wasn't entering the home and I don't think he would care. Honestly I think it was more out of caution, like approach from a distance instead of dropping right in.
a) i was just thinking that
b) you spelled "dumbledore" wrong
c)have a .+*magical*+. day
They didn't leave the resurrection stone "just anywhere".

Well considering Ron had a history of flying off the handle and abandoning them, AND if he figured they had a mood/personality affecting horcrux with them, yeah. It's really not that much of a leap to assume Ron would need a way back lol

Dean Fraser it’s really not that fair when they can just use the chimney system to go to diagon alley
Alucard Yea, but there are also the muggle born kids with magic, I don't think they are able to use this system in their first year🤔
Magda Lena true

Mic drop.
I find it very odd that others do not recognize that Dumbledore could be I Slytherin. That was very said.
Whenever youre confused about something in Harry Potter- just think "how does love potentially fit in to this"
I am indeed watching this video two years after its release, I really do enjoy the theories.
I am so obsessed with their intro that I have a little choreographed dance I do every video when it plays😂😂
I doubt Dumbledore would make a DIY project out of the only remaining piece of his sister

At 5:32 you're wrong. Dementors turn out all the light as well.
@@seraphina985 possibly, but that's different from the effect of the obscurus, which sucks up light sources, not light itself.

Using the Deluminator on the sun?
That may not work.

This might explain how Starkiller Base works. ;-)
It more than likely does have a basic connection, but the key to the deluminator is love, Voldy doesn't and can never understand love
In Ron's case, it allows him to create contact with those who (presumably) WANT to have contact with him. In Voldemort's case, it allows him (and his followers) to create contact with those who want to avoid contact.
You guys should create an audiobook of the books, your vioces are very expressive? idk, but you should!

It was both of them i think xx

Well Regulas kinda died so that wouldn’t work 😂

"These are the only two examples of lights being doused by magic in the books."
I have one word for you: Dementors.
Maybe there’s a stronger connection between obscurials and dementors?
Peruvian powder of magic can block it too
Dementors don't douse lights. 🙄
@@leventdhiverthat isn't dousing lights that's a literal powder exploding in a CONTAINED space to cause temporary darkness.
LOVE THESE HARRY POTTER VIDEOS! ❤️❤️ keep them up! ⚡️
Of course Dumbledore knew that Ron would lose his way. He watched all three of the trio grow up together for 6 years, he knew their dynamic and he had seen this happen with Ron before. That's how I justify it to myself at least lol
Keep up the good work brothers!
you could use Peruvian instant darkness powder to easily darken an area quicker than using the deluminator
Yeah but a. it wasn't available until the Weasley twins imported it, b. you could run out of the powder and have to keep buying it, c. the powder made everything super duper dark which would make it impossible to do things in the dark like Dumbledore did in the 1st book ( when he went to Privet Drive with Hagrid and McGonagall to deliver Harry), d. the powder is temporary, whereas the deluminator removes lights until you decide to release it, e. with the powder you can't light up an area like you can with the deluminator. there are more reasons but I don't feel like going into them all.
I think a better way of thinking of how the powder works is it simply makes the air in an area opaque, so all light and sight in general is blocked. There's also the issue of the physical amount of powder it takes to block an area, which would likely be an absurd amount for covering basically an entire block.
Fred and George didn't invent Peruvian instant darkness powder, they just imported it.
You would need a Hand of Glory to navigate in it though.

As to how it worked I’ve always thought it could be based around the lumos/nox spell. But I didn’t take into account the other functionality of it as a walkie-talkie thing. Would'nt an obscurus inside the deluminator mean the light getting destroyed with no way back? How does releasing the light work inside this theory?
Heeyyy Brotherrr!!
theres an endless road to rediscover
Dumbledore doesn't need a deluminator, he also doesn't need a wand, he doesn't need anything to be the amazing wizard he is.
yet using a wand makes his spells more precise and probably more powerful, while he doesnt need extra precision to turn off lights
He also wouldn't have learned magic without it
I meant he is still powerful without it.
He doesn't even need to be alive for us to love him
He still needs a wand
5:45 dementors also make lights go out in a similar way you credence as an obscurial
Wow this just reminds me how tragic Dumbledore's life was
One problem: Tech goes haywire or just plain shuts down around magic. An intense magic such as that of an Obscurial would easily take out the lights
Supported by the sparks we see flying from a number of the lights as they go out in that scene.
exactly!

STOP TALKING ABOUT FBAWTFT FOR ME!!!!
Emokid 2004 *noticed
KanitoKawaii lol I dunno I like notest better. So, if someone took notes that were better than everyone else's notes, their notes would be... THE NOTEST!!
It also showed up in the fifth book when Moody escorted Harry from private drive to he headquarters and had to use it to prevent muggles from seeing them. Great video!!!!!
Wow... now that is a mic drop. Right at the end with Dumbledore not needing the deluminator since his mother and sister are gone. Wow
Love you guys
Dumbledore vapes
Its a vape btw
He need to walk be cause appearing makes a loud poping sound
Dumbledore and voldemort could both apparate silently
I think he apparated on a nearby field or something else whefe there would be no streetlight in order to not be seen accidently by some muggle, hence why he put out the lights in privet drive, so as not be seen
Thats the only thing that really makes sense, i think
Although im not sure if the book says he literally apparated into privet drive, havent read it in a while
MUFFIN button
Don't forget that McGonagall was there too. They needed to disguise her transformation.
Dumbledore also explained to Harry in Order of the Phoenix that it's rude to Apparate directly to someone's house. You should arrive at a respectful distance away to give them the chance to refuse to receive you as a guest.
Here's my theory, Dumbledore made this whilst at school... Here's why:
Yes he was young but probably was skilled enough to make this, as according to Marchbanks "examined him personally... NEWTs... Did things with a wand I'd never seen before" (book 5) he was already amazing at magic even at school.
We know that it let's you know when a loved one says your name (I think it must be a loved one otherwise Ron would've heard his family not just hermione)
you also hear part of the conversation in which you were mentioned
it also allows you to apparate straight to that person
You can (very possibly) apparate while in areas where apparition isn't usually possible:
In Book 7 Ron went behind the shed at Shell cottage and then disapparated, although we don't know for certain if there were any protective charms around the house we can be fairly certain there were at that point.
Walking to the house makes sense if the house is under magical protection.
5:34 What about Peruvian Instant Darkness Powder, available at Weasley's Wizard Wheezes?
Benji B. That creates a cloud of darkness, not putting out lights
Emerald Sceptile3 Oh that makes sense
Nox
What about dementors? I mean they make light disappear. Just think of that scene in Order of the Phoenix with Dudley.
So the first one is FBAWTFT, will the second one be FBTCOG? That seems even harder to pronounce :D
Saphira I’m so excited for FBTCOG
Refreshed the sub box at the right time!!!
Why don't you do loot crate unboxings anymore?
Maybe they don't get Loot crate anymore
Magic works different from logic or science, so there you go.
I thought it was Private Drive like as in privacy. Is it actually “Pri-vitt” as he seems to pronounce it?
It is indeed pronounced "Pri-vitt"
This channel is officially my favorite channel! I have spent most of my day watching your videos!!
Thing is, it explains every single plot hole where Dumbledore just happens to show up, like when he turned up to the ministry 3 1/2 hours early, or when Dumbledore showed up just in time to save Harry from the big bad prof in philosophers stone.
Those aren't "plot holes" that's Dumbledore's effective planning and preparation
