How to fuel your running events.

  • If you are worried about how you are going to fuel in your next long intense race then I can make it simple for you….
    Your goal in training and then racing should be to consume more carbohydrate per hour.
    There is what’s called a dose response so the more you can consumer without your guts exploding the better in theory your running performance
    Thats where the problem often comes in…there is no point in being able to run a little faster if you are going to lose 30 minutes throwing up or squatting in a bush.
    Nobody struggles to nail 100g carb per hour sat on the sofa on Christmas Day so you have to train your gut to do it in training over time in incremental steps.
    Learn what works for you in terms of gels, bars. Liquids or potions but don’t let it be the one thing you don’t improve on.
