Danny, hope you can help me. My 95 Civic vents blows a little warm on all vents while the cold/hot slider is set to cold. This is with the AC off, just fresh air ventilation.
I would look at the heater valve, this is controlled by a secondary cable that is connected to the air mix door linkage, when the air mix door moves the heater control valve moves, good luck, hope this fixes it, bth I watched your video on your new civic, good luck on your restore. please update me on this issue when you get a chance.

Everything checks out good for me , the issue i keep having is ill have heat on the driver side but colder air on the passenger side.. did a heater core flush aswell, did the check you did on the video and no codes? Please help thank you!
Hey Danny EXCELLENT Video... I have a 2007 civic EX in the summertime my AC seams to cool only when I'm driving but when I come to a red light or if I'm driving slow in traffic it gets hot.. Do you know why? and no the engine isn't over heating also had AC recharge..

My defrost will not blow hot, all of the other vents work? I have checked radiator fluid and everything else I can think of. I do get hot air it’s just the defrost that will not give me any air at all?2007 Honda Accord. What do you think Danny?
In this same civic, what happens if you turn up the temperature to 26 or 28 degree in a hot car or on a hot summer day? Does the blower start blowing hot air or would still blow cold air? My car blows heat only when I turn the nob all the way to "hi" else it blow cold air on 38 or 29. Someone told me that the car will not blow heat if it is already hot outside, because car temperature sensor is sensing already hot enough outside.
If your control head is like mine, then it will blow warm or hot and doesn’t matter what temperature, if you have automatic ac controller it may not blow hot
Make sure the fans are coming on, make sure your coolants full, and there’s not an air pocket, thermostat isn’t stuck and if all that’s good, I would check for a head gasket leak by checking for hydrocarbons in the cooling system (update me when you figure it out)

@@dannysdiygarage No problem! This part I'm referring to is after the throttle body, after removing it you will be able to decarbonize the entrance to the intake valve seat. This part would be here: ua-cam.com/video/YD0sI2l_900/v-deo.html
There is a diagnostic procedure to follow, but it could be binding linkage or the motor, this is the most likely scenario, however however this is just my guess and it’s impossible for me to know for sure, hopefully this helps

I only get hot air on the drivers side and it blows cold/warm on the passenger side. The former owner did tell me he poured liquid gasket fixer into the radiator(I swapped the motor)It has coolant. new themostat. Acutator working and spining when turning the knob. defroster works great. @@dannysdiygarage 2009 civic lx
@@JamesG312 great information, the most logical explanation is what ever was poured into the radiator, not only tried to plug the leak, but it also plugs up radiator and heater core, you can try to back flush the heater core, you might want to do the radiator at the same time, I’m don’t recommend ever using any kind of stop leak, always does more damage than good, they also have it for air conditioning, don’t ever use it

Refrigerant level and cooling fan operation are top possibilities. Do not guess. Diagnose.

the control for hot and cold driver side, you can watch the actuator move as you tun the hot cold dial, I have a video on this on my channel

I had the 4 lights then I changed the relay which fixed that issue…but my ac is still blowing hot. Clutch is good. Freon is good.

Any codes in the head unit? If not you’ll need to put gauges on to determine what is wrong, if you want a guess, low on Freon, but just a guess

4 flashes indicate open or short in the mode control motor circuit
