DANNY I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!!!! I ordered the cheaper part you reccomended. I didn't have a 7mm socket so I used my screw head set which worked just as well. Lubed with vasoline & did the replacement step by step with your video & omg thank you!!!! It works perfectly now!!!! No more codes!! Thank you so much Danny! You have no idea how much I appreciate you uploading this video helping me learn something new but also saving me hundreds of dollars from a shop! I hope you have many blessings your way!! 🖤🖤🖤🖤
@dannysdiygarage No No No. Thank you! I haven't had anymore AC problems since I did the fix. The credit goes towards you & being so kind to upload such a detailed, not rushed video!
I believe this is my issue. Air flow stops coming out from vent significantly when I take the car out for a long drive. I diagnose and I always get 4 blinks. The sound from the car when this problem occurs is upsetting too, it does sound like there’s air wanting to come out, but it doesn’t come out from the vents. So far I’ve replaced my blower motor, resistor, AC fan, relay, and all of those had made my AC run better so I thought I fixed the problem, but just recently on a long drive it happened again. It’s great at the start of the drive, but after an hour or so the pressure from the vents drop dramatically. Will be trying this!
This just happened to me when I was coming back from Atlanta today. It also happened a couple of months ago when I was on the way to Atlanta. I smacked the area where the blower motor is located pretty hard, and it started working again.
Thank you so very much Danny! I will be doing this once I get paid (& this heat wave is over in WA) Thank you sooooo much!!! I know I commented on a previous video & you doing the code 4 is truly amazing & I'm greatful! I hope this will fix the issue I'm having! Having hot air blasting my face out of no where is no fun when we are in 90's-100's up north here.
My problem is interesting and weird. Yesterday I found my 09 civic could blow hot air only, then I found Danny's videos. I am a beginner. I did not know my car has a blend door actuator on the driver side, and a mode actuator on the passenger side. They look exactly the same. I tuned temperature and watched the mode actuator, it did not move at all and I thought I need to replace it. Luckily after some studies I realized that the two actuator are functioning differently. When tuning the temperature I should watch the one on the diver side. Mine is working well. When I change the blowing mode I should watch the one on the passenger side behind the glove box. Mine is working somehow well. Today in my tests, my AC gets cold air blown out with no issue, this is a mystery to me. But I still got code #4. I measured voltage, like in this video, all 5v(except last two got 0.5v, Danny skipped them in the video). When I changed to the defog mode, I can here the sound but no air is blown to the front shield. I do not know if this is the mode actuator's problem. The switch between front and below modes works well. Hemmm... Should I replace the mode actuator? I have no idea.
Danny were you a former mechanic in a previous life? You must be very technically inclined? I'd have no idea on how to approach a repair like this, well done!! A dealer would charge a hefty price for something like this.

Hello Danny God bless you , great job very nice clear step by step fix not like some other people , i just have two questions please , i did the test before and i didn't get any code but i have warm air coming on the drivers feet area although i don't have heat or A/C on my fan is off and my hot cold knop on coldest position , what could be the reason or this is normal set up from the factory ? ? why don't i have option to shut it all the way off if i don't like while the weather is nice with open window i can't stop it ... by the way when i turn A/C on it turns to be cool air on drivers feet , its just when every thing is off i still get hot or warn air one my feet only when windows open and nice weather out side .... is it factory set up like that i don't think so , what could be wrong ? why i always have to have one bottom has green on even if i don't use it , like when i start the car i have the first botton from left which showing dirct air on the face always on even if its not in use ? appreciate your professional work i really enjoy it , by the way my car is Honda civic 1.8 2010 XL has 70, 000 Miles only in great condition like new . Thanks Sami
Try using the recirculating button, this on should help, I believe what you’re describing is normal, manufactures bring fresh air into the car for safety reasons, I’m going by what you described, I could be wrong, mine works the same when I’m driving, pushing recirculating button helps

It’s not working properly. When I press air flow up and down it’s working one time then I press again it’s not working. Can I clean little bit the parts.
Hey so i just changed mine out followed yours step by step and it works but when I change the settings they are incorrect, Basically my air only goes out of the front defrost and feet with only one vent blowing towards you when I select that, any idea where I might have messed up?
Thank you so much man! Just fixed it I didn’t have the bottom plastic piece inside the new actuator, sucked having to redo it again but it works lol thank you again!
what does it mean if my ac is blowing but only blows from my side vents when i have it to the main vents? but if i put it to my feet and main vents it only blows to my feet and the sides. help!
