Hi, everyone. Thanks for watching this video! There are a couple things I want to mention: I know I undermined Angle Shooter a LOT, and that’s my mistake lol. I wrote the script and recorded all of the footage before it was buffed to do more damage. A lot more people have started to use it more now. I didn’t include Salmon Run because I wanted to use my limited time to talk about Shifty Stations instead. I’m sort of new to making videos, so I hope you’ll understand. Again, thanks for watching :)
I legit died to that last one, I was hit by a heavy splattling enough to almost kill me, I was on one of those platforms, and they missed and shot the propeller and the propeller ink killed me lmao.
Your main argument was just flawed, angle shooter has freakin e-liter range... If you get 2 shots off on someone with a pro and they manage to retreat, instead of having to push forward you can just angle shooter them...
I was actualy killed by a propeller once in splatoon 1. I was damaged so i tried to hide behind the propeller and soon was surprised. But I have never been crushed by a brush so ur tier list is incorrect.
Kind of surprised salmon run wasn’t talked about. You can die from some pretty embarrassing ways in salmon run such as “splatted by chinook” and “crushed by Mudmouth” yes, if you’re standing on top of a location that a Mudmouth happens to spawn at and you’re already low on damage, they will kill you. It happened to me once and I just had to stare at my screen for a couple minutes
I'm glad I didn't buy on launch. They freak me out being completely stationary. To get FNAF jumpscared by one charging you at 1000 miles a second would give me grey hairs from stress way too young.
You can get splatted by a Fishstick too, if you touch the drill part at the bottom of the pillar before it goes into the ground it will damage you but you need to already be damaged to get splatted by it
I have actually died to the propeller ink in a public lobby, I still have the screenshot of the death screen, I was absolutely FLABBERGASTED when I saw it. Genuinely didn’t know it was possible to die like that before it happened.
That “have a sprinkler thrown directly at you” death you mentioned happened to me a few days ago… I wanted to be mad. I really did. But the mental image of the physical sprinkler hitting my inkling in the face was too funny.
I'm surprised there was no mention of dying by making contact with the rainmaker barrier, it can especially happen if you're between the rainmaker and a close-by wall
Hey! I’ve died by a tacticooler landing on me in the Splatoon 3 test fest. (The Rock Paper Scissors one) I was so confused when it happened, and I consider it pretty rare because no one thinks the tacticooler does damage. Maybe it doesn’t now, and was only a test fest thing, but I thought I’d let you know anyways.
Being splatted by a sprinkler was a lot more common in splatoon 1. If someone jumped on next to wall you could throw it on the wall right next to their jump spot and they would basically automatically get splatted.
I’ve been splatted by propeller ink before. It’s definitely embarrassing. At first I thought the person shooting in my direction got me but then I saw the death screen and was like “What?! Uh!” Looks like the propeller ink got the last hit on me.
I was splatted by my own teammate once, we were playing rainmaker in Splatoon 2. I was trying to pop the rainmaker when my teammate decided to use the ultra stamp and crushed me between the rain maker shield and the hammer. I'm pretty sure this is the only way to deliberately team kill in Splatoon history.
Nope, once on a hotel map with water in 2 (forgot the name) when a teammate and I was jumping off the ledge he pushed me into the water at the very start of the game and I died 💀 still have the clip of that to this day and the most surprising thing is how we won by KO in the end
Despite the fact that the Inkfurlers are part of a Shifty Station, they are actually notorious for splatting players. In one game alone, three members from both sides (yes I was one of them) were taken out by them. I even have a clip where I get pushed off the map by a friendly Inkfurler. It's understandably rare because of the splatfest, but it has happened enough to not be too rare.

10:52 the new Marlin Airport stage in Splatoon 3 has the propellers, i died right after splatting this guy and at first i thought it was lag, but then i got the “splatted by propeller ink!” message, i stared at my screen for a good five seconds.
OMG you literally unlocked a memory for me. Years ago when I played Splatoon 2 I got killed by propeller ink once and was so baffled at the unique icon i had never seen before! I don’t play anymore, but you made me remember lol
it is possible to die to a chinook in salmon run. when the boxes that they drop in mothership waves turn red and explode, they do a little damage (idk how much). if you take damage from other boss salmonids and then get hit by the explosion, you will get a death screen that says "Splatted By Chinook."
Oh wow, my sister was telling me about the propeller death literally yesterday!! I think she said her friend had died to it, I was laughing because how do you even manage to let THAT kill you.
In the first game, I mained the Kelp Splat Charger and had my name set to "sprinkler". I was a pretty good shot, too. People would laser focus on me because of the disrespect of my name and just feed me splats lmao Moray Towers and Saltspray Rig were my favorite stages simply because once I was in position, it was surprisingly easy to get people to walk right into my sprinkler. I was a menace and probably accounted for at least 25% of all sprinkler deaths. Sorry, friends!
If Splatoon had Minecraft-style death messages, "MarinaFan888 was splatted by Sprinkler using Sprinkler" certainly would be a death message that would cause a rage-disconnect and probably damage to the TV.
The silliest, most obscure way I have ever died was by being crushed by a "chinook" during Salmon Run. For reference, those are the little guys that drop enemy crates during Mothership rounds. Meaning they literally dropped a box on my head and I died...
I feel like I might’ve died (or at least gotten damaged) by a propeller before. Not because I distinctly remember it, but because I already knew they spurt ink at you and that info’s gotta be stuck in my brain for a reason.
I 100% recall mine. Was fighting a player and won but at on 1 hp, but because of the propeller that can shoot ink... Yea, i still remember being stunned.
I remember mine lol, I was having a squid party (in a public lobby too) and i was standing near the propeller just chillin there while someone on the other team was shooting it and it killed me 😭
Salmon run stuff as well, the cannons appear in the Salmon Run stages during the Cohock Charge event to take out massive amounts of Cohocks and boss Salmonids Until you get splatted by a Salmonid which apparently can happen. One time the cannon ran out of ink and just as I was leaving to go collect some Golden Eggs that the bosses I defeated dropped a Maws attacks and I narrowly avoid being splatted
11:23 I have a very vivid memory of dying to this, but I dunno if I have the video anymore. I remember the very specific circumstances that came with it though. I was having a showdown with what I thinkkk was a roller? Could be wrong though? We were having a showdown near one of the fans and I was very low on hp and in enemy ink. Was probably also out of ink now that I think about it. But the roller missed its vertical swing and hit the propeller instead and I still got splatted. Yeah wasn't very proud of that one. Idk if this sounds sketchy or not since I'm relatively certain I don't have the video anymore, but I swear I have SUCH a vivid memory of this happening one time. The circumstances really had to be perfect for this to align.
I feel like being splatted by a sprinkler is more common than a hit from a curling bomb. I've had a lot of super jump sprinkler kills and even a single non super jump sprinkler kill but never killed with a curling bomb hit.
Though it's much rarer for someone to try killing you with an inkfurler in multiplayer, the story mode has several sections where inkfurlers are aimed at you with enemies on the starting end of them. I've died an embarrassing amount of times to the enemies accidentally launching the inkfurler at me.
Talking to other people made me realize that dying to a sprinkler is more common than it should be. Some people drops the sprinkler near an enemy during an encounter, so the probability of someone getting the last hit from a sprinkler is higher than someone getting crushed by an inkbrush.
I actually killed a person with a sprinkler before without even placing it to kill them. I had already placed the sprinkler like 10 seconds before and out of nowhere I get the popup that they died.
if you're running away low on heath and you accidentally run past it it's more than possible. sometimes I'll have 3 people shooting at me but the bullet that kills me just happened to be from a nearby sprinkler
You didn't mention being splatted by the rainmaker barrier (not the explosion!) For that you have to he standing close to it while it's expanding, but it has to be expanding rapidly for that to happen The easiest way to achieve this is by using the ultra stamp on the rainmaker shield, because that will keep you moving towards the rainmaker while also dealing a lot of damage to the shield. Also I think you can get crushed by the tower in tower control too.
Granted if you're fighting a full team battle over it and a bunch of bombs are thrown by one side, it's pretty easy to get caught, since the explosions is massive.
pretty sure if you play rainmaker in eeltail alley, and you stand in the gap between the rainmaker & the wall where it first spawns & start shooting at it you can pretty easily die to the rainmaker shield. kinda brainless behaviour but also if you don't know, kinda easy mistake to make
I once died to the fan back in Splatoon 2. I was desperately trying to get away from the enemy team and one of them hit the fan when I got onto the platform and then I died because a tiny droplet hit me on the head.
There’s a few others people have pointed out, such as dying to the Rainmaker barrier, dying to a Chinook, dying to a Mudmouth, dying to a Fish Stick, and dying to Inkjet exhaust. There’s a few others I’d mention, like being killed by a Salmon Run gusher (which doesn’t have a kill screen), or dying to Flyfish exhaust (which just says you’re killed by a Flyfish) Prior to an update (I believe it happened in October) you could also die by being next to a Maws. As in if it popped up next to you but you weren’t eaten, you’d sometimes die. Edit 02/24/23: I died to a Slammin Lid hitting me with its ladle (the spoon thing) today
Flyfish exhaust actually deals a hell lot more damage than the inkjet's exhausts do nowadays Though yes it is still very embarrassing if you'd ever die to it
I just realized this is a video from someone with barely 1k subs. Very good video! Subcribed. Edit: I just realized again after making this comment that this isn't even the first video I've seen from this guy. Keep up the good work dude!
The inkbrush and octobrush crushing has actually gotten way more common with the vacuum being a useable ult, since you can crush them during it! With how they're usually damaged already when they start it, that prevents them from finishing and saves your team some time.
I've gotten a few Angle Shooter splats actually, Angle Shooter gets a lot of grief for being the "worst sub weapon" but with recent buffs it's actually not terrible, it could still use a buff or two but it's very long ranged, fast and combos well with the Slosher Deco which is part of why it's seen as bad because it doesn't combo with the Splattershot Pro or the Jet Squelcher well at all
I think angle shooter’s even sort of underrated with both those weapons honestly (less so for Jet). It’s nice having a sub with longer range than your base weapon to soften foes up and mark them (no Ninja Squid allowed) while you close the gap. Or finish off/soften foes for allies even from a mile away. It’s especially nice with Pro, as it has an easier time doing that + less range + line marker can be used twice immediately after Crab tank (their effective ranges are similar) to finish off any foes close to death. It may just be a poor man’s burst bomb in some contexts, but it’s far better than people will act like it is
2 shots from the jet squelcher and one angle shooter hit leaves the enemy at 99 hp exactly so potentially they die from standing on ink. Thats only potentially though.
I mean it's definitely the worst sub weapon, there's no debate there, but people don't say it's any worse than you're would agree it is, you're just looking at the terrible subweapon and deciding you're fine with playing with if even if it's bad and other people decided they aren't fine with a sub that bad
@@apersonwhomayormaynotexist9868 I have to disagree on the "worst sub weapon" when we have Point Sensor that only targets people which while not terrible I would hardly call it strong either, and then there's Toxic Mist which barely works because of Squid Rolling, and for both it's just a matter of throwing them and hoping they contribute, Angle Shooter on the other hand while taking effort to use effectively can be used to track opponents, soften opponents up from a considerable distance, thrown to help a teammate fighting someone and even finish off weakened opponents that are trying to flee, I'm not saying Angle Shooter is powerful but it's hardly useless and it'll likely get more buffs anyway
@@nathanblackburn1193 I disagree that point sensor is bad. However, the main takeaway of this conversation is that all of these bad sub-weapons have uses and things they are strong at, even if they aren't as game changing as a splat bomb or suction bomb kill. Point sensor and toxic mist are area denial at a glance. You have to commit going through toxic mist, and if you are hit by it, you can't squid roll and now the zimi or tri-slosher are coming to kill you. Point sensor is bigger with sub-power up (or maybe it just lasts longer, and its not bigger, idk) and is an orb like the toxic mist. This means you can mark people through walls and floors, and you can lob it over walls, unlike the angle shooter. And with ninja squid being everywhere (at little less thanks to cjr), point sensor helps the team know where enemies are easier. Of course, this relies on your team doing something, so it mainly helps you track the enemy. This is great for explosher because it can hit over walls, and if you yourself are marked, you probably aren't going to charge into the enemy unless you have control of the area already. Angle shooter is a LOT more precise than point sensor, but goes farther, doesn't arc (can't lob it over walls) and does damage basically as soon as you throw it. It lets you pester backlines and help in fights from farther away if you aim it right. Of course this is really difficult and if you are up close you might as well keep shooting (unless you get frustrated by aim rng and just say screw it and throw it angle shooter lol, speaking from expirence). Yes you can throw two point sensors instead of two angle shooters, and point sensor tracks for longer, and you don't need pinpoint accuracy, and its area denial, but angle shooter is cool alright :(. It like the brella right now. The brella is good at doing things, but has so many problems that its just easier to perform as well as the brella with something else. Point sensor has so many more upsides compared to angle shooter. Fizzy bomb has more upsides than curling bomb. But the main thing that we need to learn is how to use any of them effectively, no matter if its not as good as the other thing. I use V carbon. V! carbon, not deco. I like it because its fun for me, even if the other carbon is just better. But yeah, I rest my case. Stay strong, angle shooter mains. :)
I once got SQUISHED by the rainmaker barrier. Nope, not EXPLODED by it, SQUISHED by it. Apparently if you stand next to a wall and the rainmaker barrier at the same time, you can get stuck in between them and get squished. EVEN IF THE RAINMAKER IS YOUR OWN COLOR OF INK.
Hey! There's one death screen that I've gotten once that I think you missed. If you stand next to a wall while the rainmaker bubble is pushing you away from it as you're inking it, you can get the death message, "Crushed by rainmaker bubble!"
i dont think this is that rare, in my case at least one person in the lobby dies from getting crushed by the rainmaker barrier but that's just when i play and im barely s rank so
Recently, on the new map Marlin Airport, I did in fact die to the propeller ink on accident, I was attempting to run from someone and escaped with just enough health to die to it, and I was so mad at myself for it.
in splatoon 2 i loved figuring out how to strategically place sprinklers so the chip dmg would splat people. kelp dome's chokepoints were great for this. sadly i dont use sprinklers much in splat 3, it used to be so satisfying to get sprinkler kills lol
Undercover brella ink mine->direct->brella shield is a legitimate powerful combo (45+40+15 is 100). Additionally, often as undercover taking engagements as close to the enemy as possible is a pretty good idea, as when the shield breaks it lets you quickly strafe behind or right across them, forcing them to whip their retical to the side. in these situations, before the brella is broken, it isn't uncommon to ram someone to death before they manage to break your shield. getting squished by undercover brella should be moved to from rare death messages to uncommon death messages.
I did die to Propellor Ink in 2 once. The platform was up all the way and I was really low on health and a random drop fell down from the sky and killed me. I just kinda sat there shocked because I didn't even know it was possible until it happened
I managed to die from the propeller on Ancho-V games in probably one of the only realistic scenarios possible to die from it, which was getting low enough from someone's weapon, them running away and propelling the platform up, and the propeller rng hitting me to finish me off. quite embarrassing
Propellers are now in Splatoon 3 and I actually have died to one. I was chasing an enemy up the propellor platform, but I took a lot of damage from them and their ink, which I walked into as soon as I swam up the platform. I splatted them, breathed a sigh of relief, and then watched as my inkling just seemingly died for no reason. I thought it was lag at first, but then the death screen said I was splatted by the propeller. Has never happened since
I'm embarrassed to admit I've died to a Splash Wall before. I was swimming by when an enemy (that I'm pretty sure didn't even see me) threw one and it landed right on top of me and insta-killed me 😆 Pure. Luck. on their part.
11:23 @thatsnomoon I died to this thing once. I had been hit multiple times so I had very little (Health? Damage?) left. I tried to get up one of these moving lifts but an enemy was also trying to use it. I ended up being killed by it, and instantly yelled while laughing"WHAT ON EARTH?" 🤣🤣🤣
It may not be that rare, but it seems some people forget Ink Storm does damage, enough to kill if you just let it go over you. Probably most of my Ink Storm kills were from people already engaged in combat, but one time I sent it in the direction of an enemy occupied tower, moving along the same path, and got three splats off it.
As someone who mains the Inkbrush Nouveau, I feel as though its Underrated at least in the Splat Zones and Tricolor modes, Due to the ink mines and the stamp being able to zone out the opponents, sort of like Isabelle's mine in Smash.
3:45 I’ve actually been killed by a sprinkler a few times because SOME people (golden aerospray users) place sprinklers when your doing a super jump, and you get killed.
I’ve died to a splash wall once in splatoon 2. I was dying so i panicked and ran away… right into a splash wall. That was the one time that I’ve EVER died to a splash wall genuinely 😀 I’d definitely say stage gimmicks aside, the rarest thing to die to is definitely a splash wall. I also feel I should mention that I’ve been playing to splat 1 lmao 💀
Being splatted by an ink mine is pretty uncommon as well. It's maybe happened a dozen times in all of my experience of Splatoon 2 and 3 (not counting Splatoon 1 because they were lethal)
As an inkbrush main, I agree that it is a rare possibility to crush someone with that thing. Usually how it happens with me was an enemy got into a fight with my teammate and retreated to heal and I'm just running along, not seeing them and just bump them. It too catches me by surprise. I also agree that the inkbrush noavue, or however that's spelled, is complete dogwater with its kit.
In Splatoon 1, Splash Wall can rapidly deal 0 to 100 damage due to it dealing damage every frame. But the knockback prevents destroying you instantly The only way knockback was negated was during the Super Jump state. You just aborb every tick an die. It was pretty common to kill with the wall this way if you see someone jumping to a spot.
One that killed me that really sucked was the rainmaker bubble, not the explosion, but I was standing in a corner near the rainmaker and got killed by the pressure of the bubble limiting my space. This could just be too common, but I’ve only been killed by it once.
10:41 I died to these during a competitive match once and I was furious. It looks so photoshopped too, I would not believe this if it didn't happen to me lmao 😭
as a 1 out of the 7 splatbrella mains, i can say that crushing is actually more common than you think! since noone knows how to fight my shitty weapon, alot of the times, i am able to scare shooters into hiding in a corner while walk up and push it into them. its really really funny, and works wayy more than it should (like, im in S and i pull this off pretty often)
Just found this video. I swear there was a "Crushed by Sprinkler" death, but I could be wrong. Also, I got killed by propeller ink too! We had Ancho-V Games up and our team was winning Splat Zones, but the sniper kept hitting the propeller and I guess I took a direct hit almost enough to kill me once because the propeller ink killed me as I was jumping to head down.
I have gotten way too many splats with the splash wall so many that it feels illegal. People just walk into the wall for no reason it doesn't make sense!
I died to the propellor thing a few years back and couldn't find many other people talking about it. I still have the clip of it because I couldn't believe how dumb it was
I don’t know. I think Crushed By Big Swig Roller makes a strong argument considering the fact that everyone touched Big Swig for 2 matches and abandoned it immediately.
11yo me playing Splatoon 1 back in the day got splatted by the Ancho-V propellers, and I was so confused and amazed when this happened. Since then, I've literally never heard anyone talking about this obscure way to die, until today! :)
Not as rare as others, but you can get splatted by the Rainmaker's Shield. And I don't mean the explosions from the shield. I mean the shield itself. If you're stuck against a wall or in a corner and the shield expands, you can get killed by the shield without it exploding. Also, I have died to the fan in Ancho-V Games in Splatoon 1.

Same!! I remember I was low on health and trying to use the fan as a cover, and then. Shame and dishonor to my family
You're not alone 😭
well boys, happy to announce we can be splatted by the propeller ink once more!
And I died to it already by accident
it is possible to die to a chinook in salmon run. when the boxes that they drop in mothership waves turn red and explode, they do a little damage (idk how much). if you take damage from other boss salmonids and then get hit by the explosion, you will get a death screen that says "Splatted By Chinook."
Salmon Run has some pretty embarrassing ways to die.
I also wanted to add ive been splatted by a fish stick before
@@squiffurthewolf6276 drowning during a change of water level is pretty embarrassing too.
I think the Chinook's coolers will one-shot you if you're next to them when they explode.
Somehow I've died more than once to the stream of ink under a flyfish
Oh wow, my sister was telling me about the propeller death literally yesterday!! I think she said her friend had died to it, I was laughing because how do you even manage to let THAT kill you.
Probably a Sprinkler or Splash Wall powering the fan and an oblivious, unsuspecting rival stood near the fan.
In the first game, I mained the Kelp Splat Charger and had my name set to "sprinkler". I was a pretty good shot, too. People would laser focus on me because of the disrespect of my name and just feed me splats lmao
Moray Towers and Saltspray Rig were my favorite stages simply because once I was in position, it was surprisingly easy to get people to walk right into my sprinkler. I was a menace and probably accounted for at least 25% of all sprinkler deaths. Sorry, friends!
reminds of how i used to place sprinklers on top of superjump markers whenever possible
i got a splat from that like 50% of the time
@@poisonedmaple6874 still works but it has to be even more precise now lol
If Splatoon had Minecraft-style death messages, "MarinaFan888 was splatted by Sprinkler using Sprinkler" certainly would be a death message that would cause a rage-disconnect and probably damage to the TV.
Wait you forgot about the ink mine!
@@sirpugsoolot ah yes, the good ol' ink mine over the super jump landing
sadly no longer possible since ink mines arent lethal anymore
The silliest, most obscure way I have ever died was by being crushed by a "chinook" during Salmon Run. For reference, those are the little guys that drop enemy crates during Mothership rounds. Meaning they literally dropped a box on my head and I died...
I feel like I might’ve died (or at least gotten damaged) by a propeller before. Not because I distinctly remember it, but because I already knew they spurt ink at you and that info’s gotta be stuck in my brain for a reason.
same, i remember something happening on anchov before but was a long time ago
Same thing for me.
I most certainly remember dying to it because I was very surprised and confused at first.
I 100% recall mine. Was fighting a player and won but at on 1 hp, but because of the propeller that can shoot ink...
Yea, i still remember being stunned.
I remember mine lol, I was having a squid party (in a public lobby too) and i was standing near the propeller just chillin there while someone on the other team was shooting it and it killed me 😭
10:45 one year later, a stage called "Marlin Airport" have propeller. You can now get splatted by the propeller in Splatoon 3. :)
Shifty stations were so cool! Incorporating story mode stuff like bounce pads and ink furlers into multiplayer!
Salmon run stuff as well, the cannons appear in the Salmon Run stages during the Cohock Charge event to take out massive amounts of Cohocks and boss Salmonids
Until you get splatted by a Salmonid which apparently can happen. One time the cannon ran out of ink and just as I was leaving to go collect some Golden Eggs that the bosses I defeated dropped a Maws attacks and I narrowly avoid being splatted
11:23
I have a very vivid memory of dying to this, but I dunno if I have the video anymore.
I’ve gotten a double kill with a curling bomb in anarchy. Likely never will again😂
@@squidsofty8507 Might've been me who got hit with that. I have a clip of that very situation on mincemeat
@@a.t.p.21 you’re good, this one was on eeltail lol
Curling bombs are easy to get kills with because everybody seems to forget you can adjust when they blow up
I know someone who mains Curling Bombs :0
Place a sprinkler on the superjump point if an player and they will eat quite some damage, when they land.
if you're running away low on heath and you accidentally run past it it's more than possible. sometimes I'll have 3 people shooting at me but the bullet that kills me just happened to be from a nearby sprinkler
“Pearl descents from the havens”
I laughed so hard for no reason
You didn't mention being splatted by the rainmaker barrier (not the explosion!)
For that you have to he standing close to it while it's expanding, but it has to be expanding rapidly for that to happen
The easiest way to achieve this is by using the ultra stamp on the rainmaker shield, because that will keep you moving towards the rainmaker while also dealing a lot of damage to the shield.
Also I think you can get crushed by the tower in tower control too.
Granted if you're fighting a full team battle over it and a bunch of bombs are thrown by one side, it's pretty easy to get caught, since the explosions is massive.
I have died to this more times than I can count with the stamp🥲
This guys has clearly never ended up crushed between a wall and the RM shield.
pretty sure if you play rainmaker in eeltail alley, and you stand in the gap between the rainmaker & the wall where it first spawns & start shooting at it you can pretty easily die to the rainmaker shield. kinda brainless behaviour but also if you don't know, kinda easy mistake to make
@@nin7744 I did this like 4 times. I was stuck in C
splatted by zipcaster will forever be the death of me
- sincerely, an octobrush main
Bro this is super underrated, hope the algorithm helps you out soon!
There’s a few others I’d mention, like being killed by a Salmon Run gusher (which doesn’t have a kill screen), or dying to Flyfish exhaust (which just says you’re killed by a Flyfish)
Prior to an update (I believe it happened in October) you could also die by being next to a Maws. As in if it popped up next to you but you weren’t eaten, you’d sometimes die.
Edit 02/24/23: I died to a Slammin Lid hitting me with its ladle (the spoon thing) today
do you remember if there was a special death screen for the ladle, or was it just "splatted by slammin lid"?
@@Marshtard "Splatted by Slammin lid"
Flyfish exhaust actually deals a hell lot more damage than the inkjet's exhausts do nowadays
Though yes it is still very embarrassing if you'd ever die to it
Bro, i died at that fan, and i didn't even realise it was the most rarest Death at all time in splatoon 2. 10:46
That Angle Shooter one is funny to me cuz I've gotten multiple kills with it in Zones Series while using my Jet Squelcher. Nice, informative video!
The rarest I’ve got is “splatted by propeller ink” it happened in a normal match too.
i’ve definitely died to the fan before. it happened when you just survive an encounter with an opposing player and then swim too close to the fan
I just realized this is a video from someone with barely 1k subs. Very good video! Subcribed.
Edit: I just realized again after making this comment that this isn't even the first video I've seen from this guy. Keep up the good work dude!
Rad stuff my dood. A fun watch well deserving of blowing up!
The inkbrush and octobrush crushing has actually gotten way more common with the vacuum being a useable ult, since you can crush them during it! With how they're usually damaged already when they start it, that prevents them from finishing and saves your team some time.
Once I had low enough HP a wandering Curling Bomb slid past and dealt enough damage to give me the message "Hit by Curling Bomb!"
Happened to me multiple times and always makes me laugh. 😆
As a Splat Brella main, its surprising that a lot of people just run right into your Brella and get splatted.
Now with Marlin airport, propeller ink has returned!
We really need more splatubers like you! Amazing video!
in splatoon 2 i loved figuring out how to strategically place sprinklers so the chip dmg would splat people. kelp dome's chokepoints were great for this. sadly i dont use sprinklers much in splat 3, it used to be so satisfying to get sprinkler kills lol
I though this video was gonna be like tf2 with taunt kills, but it’s just him dissing the weapons and players lmao
i didnt know it was possible to die by the ultra signal. it happened to me on undertow spillway and it says "Splatted by the Sprinkler Of Doom!"
Same.
I've been killed by a Splash Wall exactly once. They threw it directly in me, and it basically sliced me in half.
I’ve died to the fan ONCE when I was borrowing Splatoon 2 from my brother (I DONT EVEN HAVE SPLATOON 2 AND I GOT THE MOST EMBARRASSING WAY TO DIE)
Has never happened since
Amazing
I'm embarrassed to admit I've died to a Splash Wall before. I was swimming by when an enemy (that I'm pretty sure didn't even see me) threw one and it landed right on top of me and insta-killed me 😆 Pure. Luck. on their part.
11:23
@thatsnomoon
I died to this thing once.
Probably most of my Ink Storm kills were from people already engaged in combat, but one time I sent it in the direction of an enemy occupied tower, moving along the same path, and got three splats off it.
i had that once in turf war, just chucked an ink storm into the enemy base and got a random kill from it
As someone who mains the Inkbrush Nouveau, I feel as though its Underrated at least in the Splat Zones and Tricolor modes, Due to the ink mines and the stamp being able to zone out the opponents, sort of like Isabelle's mine in Smash.
YAYYY I DIED IN THE MOST EMBARRASSING WAY POSSIBLE 11:30
4:37 I once walked into a curling bomb when it exploded. I fell off a platform and the curling bomb blew up and splatted me.
When you started talking about the propeller ink, my heart dropped. In splatoon 2, I died to this not once, but twice
I once killed someone with a Sprinkler and another time with the splash walls.
Never did Splatoon 1 nor was able to participate in 2’s splatfests.
5:50 IS THAT MY CLIP I SEE!
3:45 I’ve actually been killed by a sprinkler a few times because SOME people (golden aerospray users) place sprinklers when your doing a super jump, and you get killed.
there's some embarassingly rare ones in salmon run, too. "Splatted by Chinook"
6:55 I play spatoon 1
3:50 I remember getting someone low on health and tossing a sprinkler at them, it killed them and they logged midmatch lol
I’ve died to a splash wall once in splatoon 2. I was dying so i panicked and ran away… right into a splash wall. That was the one time that I’ve EVER died to a splash wall genuinely 😀
I’d definitely say stage gimmicks aside, the rarest thing to die to is definitely a splash wall.
I also feel I should mention that I’ve been playing to splat 1 lmao 💀
Being splatted by an ink mine is pretty uncommon as well. It's maybe happened a dozen times in all of my experience of Splatoon 2 and 3 (not counting Splatoon 1 because they were lethal)
i should be sleeping, i have a marathon at 5 and it’s half past 11. but on the other hand, splatoing
11:28 i’m not 100% sure, but i think i’ve died from that. i’m not very good at this game 💀
"Pearl literally decends from the heavens"
*yep thats Pearl for you*
Your matter-of-fact tone when you said things made it so much better
In Splatoon 1, Splash Wall can rapidly deal 0 to 100 damage due to it dealing damage every frame. But the knockback prevents destroying you instantly
The only way knockback was negated was during the Super Jump state. You just aborb every tick an die. It was pretty common to kill with the wall this way if you see someone jumping to a spot.
I once got splatted by a Fish Stick's ink in Salmon Run, I'd place that under super rare tbh
I can't believe you missed a very important one. Getting crushed by the tower
One that killed me that really sucked was the rainmaker bubble, not the explosion, but I was standing in a corner near the rainmaker and got killed by the pressure of the bubble limiting my space. This could just be too common, but I’ve only been killed by it once.
Angle Shooter does have a niche offensive use since it passes through vaccum and can kill vacuum users from the front at range
The fans are in the new map of splatoon 3 now.
I like how Donkey Kong's final smash went from beating the drums to just beating the shit out of you
10:41 I died to these during a competitive match once and I was furious.
"What are the three most embarrassing words in the inkling language?"
"Splatted by Sprinkler."
- Pearl and Marina, 2017
Only like a week after marlin airport came out and included the fans, I managed to die to one IN A PUBLIC LOBBY. I have zero clue how
Just found this video.
People just walk into the wall for no reason it doesn't make sense!
as an inkbrush nouvea player, i will gladly take this trophy and cry myself to sleep tonight.
1:45 you can also do it by just running around them (works better if they fire slow..)
Ok but the cannon splatfest stage is actually really fun
I died to the propellor thing a few years back and couldn't find many other people talking about it. I still have the clip of it because I couldn't believe how dumb it was
I don’t know. I think Crushed By Big Swig Roller makes a strong argument considering the fact that everyone touched Big Swig for 2 matches and abandoned it immediately.
11yo me playing Splatoon 1 back in the day got splatted by the Ancho-V propellers, and I was so confused and amazed when this happened. Since then, I've literally never heard anyone talking about this obscure way to die, until today! :)
I once died to Propeller ink in Splatoon 1 bc I didn’t have known that it could do damage XD
Not as rare as others, but you can get splatted by the Rainmaker's Shield. And I don't mean the explosions from the shield. I mean the shield itself. If you're stuck against a wall or in a corner and the shield expands, you can get killed by the shield without it exploding.
Also, I have died to the fan in Ancho-V Games in Splatoon 1.
i died to an ink propeller before, that was a terrible memory you just brought up. i literally stopped playing for the day after that
