    piece of engineering art..i salute you gentlemen. you are masters in your own right..even in the baddest of all safety conditions, you still delivered..at least the owner of this venture should provide basic PPE and promote better working conditions, nevertheless, i admire the precision, skills involved and team work!...love this...all the way from Papua New Guinea.

      @ishehaxor Рік тому +4

      The owner has no incentive to do so as the ultimate goal is to extract as much profit as possible. Without legal regulation or oversight, PPE is another monetary cost not worth taking on since there is no incentive to do so as an owner. No close toed shoes, poor welding protection, these hard workers deserve better.

      @ Well, that's simple - it's as in Cpt. Wrungel's Law: "while every herring is a fish, not every fish is a herring". That is, while everything we sell here is "for CAT" (thus we are CAT dealer), not everything we sell here is a CAT-made part.
      In other words, as an authorised dealer they may sell all and sundry "CAT parts", but then some - not necessarily "CAT OEM parts".

      PPE and safety procedures are concepts driven by the Insurance industry and not necessarily the most efficient way to do things. These guys are producing things at the lowest unit cost probably in the world as well as the fastest per unit cost as a result of not being fettered by compliance costs. The UK probably has the highest unit cost in the world as a result of their excessive ‘safety’ compliance costs.
      I am not saying either system is right or wrong, but the free market means you have a choice between purchasing the cheapest product or something expensive that has been built by someone who had a flashing green light going to show he had his seat-belt on.

    I'd be interested to learn how the price of a loader bucket built by these guys compares with the price of a new one built by Caterpillar?

    • @MrKotBonifacy
      @MrKotBonifacy Рік тому

      Knowing exorbitant pricing by CAT I'd reckon less than 10%...

    • @donaldniklasson1020

      More interesting to know the durability on that compares to a CAT.. 😀

    • @MrKotBonifacy
      @MrKotBonifacy Рік тому +2

      @@donaldniklasson1020 Make it as half as "durable", whatever that would mean - I'd say it's a fair number, maybe except those teeth (those would wear out pretty soon). Make the price 10% of what CAT would charge, and do your math.
      For the money CAT would charge you can get 10 buckets, which being half as durable will last 5 times longer as one OEM bucket.
      Also, any repairs (welding up cracked joints or replacing worn teeth) would be made "on the spot" for a pennies (rupees).
      And then take also into account that Pakistani owner(s) of such loader(s) are typically not very rich people either, and probably they just couldn't afford paying CAT prices.
      I watch this "CEE Australia" channel, and this guy there, Kurtis, does the service and repairs for all sort of earth-moving equipment, mostly CAT - and AUSTRALIAN owners of CAT machinery turn to him to make replacement parts because HAND-MADE, labour intensive "custom" parts will still cost them a fraction of CAT price for its "genuine spare parts".
      Just recently he was making a new H-link for a digger, KOBELCO in this case, but "same rules apply" - and he said that this hand-fabricated "custom" H-link, on which he spent couple of days of his labour time (turning, drilling, tapping, welding, line boring, painting, inserting bushings, seals and grease points) would still costs his customer a fraction of KOBELCO price for "genuine" (made in China or Indonesia anyway) CAST STEEL (= fraction of the labour compared to fabrication) "off the mill" H-link...
      And then - a cherry on top! - those "genuine" cast steel links are of inferior quality compared to fabricated "hand made" ones.
      Makes you think, eh?

      Yes, "hand made", and yes, "on his tools" (there's NOTHING "fancy" about them - correct me if I'm wrong), and then he's a true craftsman.
      But true, he's neither a Pakistani nor a Muslim, and I guess there lies his fault, right?
