This was so great to see, I was really starting to think LZ would never be comfortable in this car. Also cool to see him battle both James and Chelsea and win. I think this is his best use of the outside zones I have seen from him since he move to RTR.

Adam's chasing certainly needed improvement. But Adam put on a school on how to lead. He was CONSISTENTLY throwing MASSIVE angle and pulling massive transitions. He was stellar. Adam'z entrance on OZ1 will be replayed throughout the entire season. But which one? Every one of them was just plain nasty.
One of the reason Adam's chase looks less impressive, is cause the lead by others is less impressive. Tighter angle, carrying more speed to try and out run LZ. Power, Barion and Olsen's last lead run is not very good. And one of the reason Adam beat them cause his lead run is better.
Dude I was dead ass lookin straight at him from that one spot where you stood on the fence with all the camera holes for 4 hours and he was hitting that angle off the first zone absolutely tweakin compared to everybody else he knows that course he deff mastered it
I was there, I personally think he robbed Denofa, I think Denofa’s runs were slightly cleaner and LZ kicked up a lot of dirt on the second outside zone on his chase, definitely dropped a wheel and there was more separation on the chase as well. He made the best of it but I don’t think he should have gotten the win against Denofa. Guess it is what it is when the judging is so vague and entirely up to the judges
Lmao no way. Simen Olsen had the last run no doubt. Adam only won because of the fans and views. Olsen had proximity through the whole chase while adam got close for under half a second in that last run. This series has become a joke

I’ll admit I haven’t been the biggest fan of the guy just cause so many people were hyping up like crazy for seemingly no reason cause he would always get knocked in top 32 every time but I will give him props this was one hell of a performance😊
Unfortunately people are so narrow minded and very jealous of someones success which is kinda the human nature. People have something negative to say when they feel intimidated someone living there dream rather supporting them with an open heart ❤️.
I remember Vaughn telling Cleetus that you really have to drive these things all out and Adam took that and was in the damn pocket for this one! The all out driving of the 4 rotor def helped wiggle those cobwebs and the crash in Long Beach I think helped the confidence that everything will work out. Hell of a showing for LZ!
I mean, that's the main thing about the RTR Mustang that everyone has ben saying from the start. These cars are meant to be driven to the limit, the more flat out WOT you have the more and better you drift, this car loves being in high rpm and constant power to drift, the more you push it the more it wants and it only gets better at the limit even. This car is not for the faint of heart, it will test your mental and commitment, high risk for high reward, Adam finally dominated the driving style of the Mustang and used it exactly as he is supposed to.
He has the skills to compete at the top level for sure. I think most of his issues were mental and nerves. Glad to see him win one. Maybe this will start a trend.

LZ still wasn't used to the car or couldn't drive it like he is supposed to likely due to nerves or mental issues. Having the 4 rotor supra he drove not only helped get a feel for the track, but he had to drive that car at WOT, so it finally clicked with him of how the Mustang operates and how it's suppose to be driven, hopefully he takes this lesson and learns to do this consistently from now on.
What's your opinion about the run against Deane as I'm not familiar with Formula D judging? IIRC in DMEC "two wheels off track" leads to a massive point deduction and judges might have argued that Adam's lead run was not properly chasable which could've led to a OMT at least.
From FD Judging Regulations: "The number of tires off course that will receive an INCOMPLETE will be specific to each track and discussed during the drivers meeting of that event". Based on all the runs this event, they clearly saw 2 wheels off as a pretty minor deduction
The last time I watched FD live Lz was still in the nissan racing for enjuku barely making points it was so sick I got to see him win live and watch that battle with James Deane hope to see more I definitely will be watching more
All the runs were very messy, I don't like formula D track picks , it's all power drifting which I suppose it's just an American thing . Congrats to Adam on a great win 🏆 👏
Japan FD is way better for watching if you like technical small tracks lol Imo Japan FD is just a better watch anyway because of the cars and the style of driving they do. That’s why Japanese Pro Cars only have like 500-700 HP cause they don’t need it for those small technical tracks.
I've never been a fan of Adam, but wowzer that was a crazy series of clips. If LZ would drive like this all the time he'd be a serious Championship contender. His driving here reminds me of the James Deane Worthouse 3 year comination.
His time with the 4 rotor at this track paid off big, you can clearly tell. Chases were decent but man those leads were something else. The man deserves this win.

yeah. his round 1 was just about as perfect of a line as you can possibly run in that car, but his win is mostly because Deane made a mistake, and Olsen needs a better car.
Chelsea hit Adam while in chase which screwed LZ's lead line in oz2 which was the nail in the coffin for Denofa. If that hit didn't affect Lz's line it would have probably gone to a OMT

This Supra had to be driving at WOT, this method of driving the Supra is literally exactly how you are suppose to drive the FD RTR Mustang, the characteristic and dynamics of this car is basically going to the limit at all times, because the more you give it the more it asks for and wants, and the more it wants and the more you give it the better it drifts, not even joking that is literally what every RTR driver will tell you who knows how the car performs, and they have said this to him before when he started out in the team, he simply needs to push it, he wasn't giving the car full throttle (even tho he said he has his foot to the floor all the time in those videos) I think this finally showed he just wasn't confident at the time or had too much nerves or mental issues blocking his capabilities.

I'm glad Adam is finally comfortable in the RTR and driving great. I think he has just been so used to always drifting turbocharged cars that it took him a bit to realize how you have to always be in full throttle in the RTR because you don't have that huge boost hit coming in
