Find a store with a bulk goods section and pecans will be fabulously cheap. I use Winco or my local natural foods co-op. Also to chop nuts quickly, put them in a plastic baggie and roll over it with a rolling pin.

How long does it keep in the fridge?

Mine always gets gone within 1 day… But the Cool Whip container I buy says it is “Fridg Fresh for 2 weeks”, so as long as your cool whip is still stable, this should last at least 2 - 3 days in the fridg with the fruit mixed in.

I also added coconut once! Not bad! You know, if you added a can of sweetened condensed milk and some lemon juice with the pineapple, nuts, coconut and coolwhip ....Millionaire Pie!! (In a Graham cracker crust!!). See what you started!! Mmmmmmmmm!😋😋😋😋😋

I would only use bananas if I were going to eat it instantly. Bananas would likely turn brown quickly (although they would still be fine to eat)
