Damn straight! I was a junkie from 14-19 and now I have 2 kids, 3 foster kids and 5 rescue animals and I’ve been clean 18 years and next year my eldest daughter is starting law.
The 3 kids I foster would have been separated if I hadn’t been here to take them, if a cop had shot me when I was a junkie. Too many people are dismissing him cause of drugs and it’s so wrong. He wasn’t trying to fight the cops (if he had he was so big he could have really hurt a few of those cops) or anything dangerous so this is unnecessary. And he was a father, one day his daughter will read all these sick comments saying her dad deserved it cause he had drug issues 😢

Ok, there's so many good officers, and just as many rogue ones. However, what's all the 🏃 about when questioned and even when being arrested, which only escalates the matter. Noncompliant and resistance has to be addressed, if not, then anyone can run from the police, then yell no justice or peace. Bingo. Any military commander will tell you that commanders must actively remove the mental cases. The problem is that commanders must be given the responsibility, authority, and duty to remove the trouble makers without being second guessed. Union protections must not override commanders from removing those with multiple infractions. Actually Chauvin would better off if he was told early on that he was not fit for law enforcement. Why does the nation need to suffer for a few people who cannot follow rules and be disciplined. Also we have advanced technology that can eliminate the need for lethal force. Give the police these tools so no matter how big the person, they can be safely neutralized, cuffed and off to jail safely with no loss of life.

Look at college professor's once they make 10 yr your stuck with them even if they are a radical Marxists and they ruin young adults. Teachers unions keep allowing radical leaders to mess things up. 1:38 The issue in all police Agencies in the United States is NOT concerning "Bad-Apples". The problems stem from a Police culture that creates a fertile environment for bad behavior: LYING on police reports; not reporting a coworker who commits bad acts; LYING in court; hiding incidents that might reflect badly on the Police department. The MOST important thing in police reform we need is to see current Officers screened for past White Nationalist involvement and have them REMOVED from that position. Also those involved in law making still seem to be approaching issues from a racially biased place with no data or inaccurate data. Laws get made to curtail perceived dangers from Black Lives Matter who are comprised primarily of Black people, and other Social Justice groups (I'm not talking about Anti-Fascist groups). At the same time White Nationalists and White Supremacist groups do not get the same urgency. We saw that during the Jan 06, 2021 Capitol Terror Attack, and we see it everyday in society when Black workers have to leave home 30 minutes early to make up for the constant stops by Police. I just found out that a White friend has only been stopped once while driving.

Well... yes. But, there may not be an effective avenue that the ‘good’ officer can trust. Part of the problem that we have in certain cities in Colorado (like Aurora) is that it’s always been the high ranking officers that have personalities like Chauvin ... and the good officers have no effective course to take. They might be good people with good intent, but they know that there will be no accountability if they do stand and report. I’m not excusing it.... but getting the bad leadership out, is part of the solution.
