    Hi V, love all the colors with the change of the season and the area you're in is very pretty during this time. I remember camping at a young age and me and my cousins didn't have our own fishing poles like the adults did. My dad decided to make fishing poles for us kids out of tree branches. We didn't have reels on them but were able to tie a hook on the line, to hold the salmon balls we'd used for trout. Some of us used enough line to attach a bobber to see when we get a bite. It was a very simple way of having our own unique fishing clan club like the grown ups 😁🎣 Good to see a new video from you and looking forward upcoming ones you've mentioned!

    It is not boring when you talk about Ramen. They way your wife's parents had it, is what I call Mr. Noodles. Ramen is bone broth, noodles, meat and egg to me. LOVE it ❤❤

    I live in the southwest and it's also a great time of year to go camping down here as well, for all the same reasons--summer isn't bad, but finding a good sleep setup can be a challenge because the heat doesn't dissipate very fast after the sun goes down. For October, you can pack a warm sleeping bag and not get too hot at night. Glad to see the tent got put through its rain paces as well.

    Another good video and loved the ramen stories. Videos about just getting out with what you have is a great idea. That was one of the things that definitely held me back from getting started. I felt like I needed to have the perfect setup and all of the perfect gear from day one. The problem is, with so much out there and so many people on UA-cam using different stuff, it can be overwhelming to the point that you don't do anything, the whole decision paralysis thing. It will definitely give people ideas and encourage them to just go ahead and get out. Looking forward to the next one......and btw............That noise you heard......definitely a baby sasquatch.

    for ways ramen cooking, no one can beat the asians! I used to buy those that comes with the reasoning but I have stopped doing that and just buy the plain ramen without any seasoning. I seasoned it my way
    You can do the following
    1. For soupy ramen, I prepare the seasoning on another bowl with soy source, pepper, olive oil, oyster source, mix them up. Boil water, throw in the ramen and when it has turn soft, throw in the mix seasoning. Cook till it has a bouncy texture, turn off the gas, with the lip close wait for 30 seconds and enjoy
    2. For dry ramen. Seasoning is the same. Boil water, throw in the ramen BUT this time stop the cooking when it turn soft, drain the water out and put the ramen into the bowl with seasoning and mix it well and the pan fry the ramen till it is has bouncy texture and enjoy. Olive oil is important if you want dry ramen
    You can add your own add on. I usually fried 2 eggs separately as my toppings or fry salmon to add on top. Try it, you may stop eating ramen the way you are eating now, hahaha

      Those sound delicious, my friend! I’ve certainly tried it many ways. Especially with meat like steak or chicken. I’ve had it with eggs many times as that’s an easier way. I haven’t had it with salmon though, but I will thanks to you.
      I appreciate the support and suggestions! Thank you for watching!

    VERY IMPRESSED with your organizational skills, clear diction. Thoroughly enjoyed the camping trip with you. Are you by chance ex-military? Love the video. By the way, what was the animal we heard?

      In terms of the animal, based on feedback I’ve received, it was more than likely an owl.

    Great video. How cold did it get that night and how did your tent and sleeping bag perform? I have the Teton Mountain Ultra 3P, and a Teton Sports 20 degree bag. I have been going out and trying to determine what the coldest temps I can use this in before having to upgrade one or both.

    • @OutdoorsWithV
      @OutdoorsWithV  10 місяців тому

      It got down to 35 degrees. It performed well although it wouldn’t be my first choice in anything at or believing freezing since the tent body is primarily mesh. Any cool air gets in very easily. My sleeping bag that I used is the Teton Sports 0 Degree canvas bag. Even though it isn’t truly a 0 degree bag, it definitely kept me warm and cozy. I wouldn’t use that particular bag below 25 degrees personally.
      Thank you for watching and supporting!
