13" Fox Shocks - Compared to RWD and Legends for Harley Touring
Вставка
- Опубліковано 15 жов 2024
- We install a new set of 13" Fox rear shocks on Tony's Road Glide and otherwise compare them to Legends and RWD rears. In our opinion a quality suspension is one of the best upgrades you can add to your Harley. Once adjusted to your liking the ride comfort and handling improvement is a night and day difference.

I love that CVO tour pack on the red bike!
Gave you a like for the Cleetus shirt, but the video deserves it regardless.
Thanks , cleetus is the man.
Hey you 3. This is Larry from Yorktown Va. Gliding _On_Two's sent me. Just subscribed.
Thanks for the support !
Really wanting todo RS-1
I’m a big fan of mine. I don’t think anyone can be disappointed with any of the upgraded shocks .
Hey nice to meet you!
👍❤️🔥🤙💯
Yes, the stock shocks especially the "lows" are horrible. I salvaged my stock air shocks from my 2012 road king. All good now. In addition, Monroe makes air shocks for 64-72 corvettes for $90 U.S. that are also a perfect fit.
Who would have thought with the corvette shocks. I guess anything is an improvement over stock !
come hang with the cool kids and try suspension technologies USA! They are epic. I did almost go with Fov before I did STUSA. 13's are great too!
Best suspension I’ve ridden on.
Guys, I just put a set of those fox shocks on my 2019 RGS ( HD stock 12" and Fox upgrade 13 " ) and the drive belt needed to be re-adjusted (ride height changed ), perfect fit for shocks with no shims needed, the problem i have there is not enough clearance between shock and axle nut to install 36 mm socket to loosen or the easy access wrenches, to adjust drivebelt tension, nobody in video mentioned re-adjusting drive belt after install and having this issue ,the stock HD shock eyelet ( lower ) measures a little over 29mm and fox eyelet measured a little over 36 mm from side to side. Do you have any feedback on this ?
Thanks for watching. I had the dealer check my belt and do an oil change every 5K for the first 20,000 so I never really worried about the belt tension. Also for the rear bolt we use one of those flat wrenches instead of a socket. That way the exhaust doesn’t get in the way I don’t have to take as much stuff off.
I had both, first legends then fox. Fox was more smooth imo
We've all been happy with our fox setups as well !
You guys have a great channel. I’m just an entertainer lol 😂
For a better experience, the front suspensions must also be changed.
For sure . We’re all running fox inserts up front . Thanks for watching
@@3_AM you like the fox up front?
I have legends on front and back. Revo A's on back. I like the back but I'm not crazy about the front. If I had to do it again I wouldn't put Legends on the front.
We’ve heard the same before . Haven’t had a chance to try the legends yet.
Are you still using Legend fronts, if not what did you go to or would go to?
Any issues with hitting exhaust at full lock? I ask bc it happened to me on my 17 SGS with 4.5" TABS. Added couple spacers and went on. Rocking FOX HD springs in front and 13" IFP rears.
No issues there for any of us
I have Vance/Hines Titan 4.5, and with my 13" Bitubo's they will contact the right muffler at full extension on my 2020 Road King
@@ut1004bp Are you sure you installed them correctly? The right spacers etc?
@@Steve-qn8gn yep, but I pulled them off and 12 install premium 12 shock in place of them
Legends adjust sag by spinning spring by hand. No plastic tools needed.
The fox will work by hand also, they just add the tool. Thanks for watching !
Great content Guys! 😎👍
Thanks for watching. We’re hyped for the 2022 season !
Need to try out super shox
We've heard good things about them.
In terms of overall comfort how do you rate the fox rear shocks vs the rs1s? Is there a noticeable difference?
Both are a huge upgrade, fox gets points for pricing and are great quality. The RWDS are more expensive , but seem to have a little more travel and I have zero complaints
@@3_AM Thanks for the reply, do you think the rs1s are more comfortable for daily riding over the bumps or about the same as the fox? I'm looking for the most comfort.
@@CBRTRX they’re very comparable, fox you can at least get matching front cartridges or even just the springs
Aweosme video guys… I’m just north in Rhode Island let’s ride this spring!!
so on fox rear shocks did u go standard or heavy duty
I went with standard I didn’t want it too stiff. I’m a big boy around 300 lbs and they were perfect with the preload at 3 out of 5. I can crank them up if I rode two up. Fox was the best money I spent on that bike.
I want a 5XL shirt like that 😃
Do your fans a favor and evaluate SuperShox. I mean not that you’re really qualified for anything more than opinion, but heck I believe even that would be positive
We'd give them a whirl, but its hard to want to spend more $ when we're happy with the setups we have now. Thanks for watching
Your video says 13”, but you claim the Fox are 13.5”. Fox doesn’t offer a 13.5” shock for the Street Glide…. Did you really put 13.5” shocks on your ST.
Most manufacturers sell the shocks in 12” 13” and even 14”. The overall dimensions and that .5” also come down to preload adjustment.
2:10 because you aren't ever going to use resevior shocks to their capibilities on a harley
I would like to buy a shirt. Thanks
We don’t have any made for sale yet , but if we do we’ll let you know . Thanks for watching!
