- History of the Bay Podcast Ep. 46: Louie Loc came up as one of the few Latino rappers from San Francisco in the 1990s. At 16, he was discovered by Goldtoes and made his debut on the classic compilation "17 Reasons," featuring on the song "Black N Brown" with JT The Bigga Figga. Louie got his name from the San Francisco legend Cougnut and appeared on tracks with legends like Mac Dre, Suga Free, The Jacka and many more. After losing his best friend in a car accident, he took a long hiatus from music but is now back and hungrier than ever.

Louie is underrated as far as being a lyricist from Northern California & he's one of the best Latin rappers up here.
U need to interview Equipto
Dope shit. I think yall forgot to mention he had a song playing on KMEL back in 05- it used to get played back to back. Its called “Ain’t Nobody” -Louie Loco
Shout out Uncle Louie Locsta.
Great interview, Dreg! We need more bay legends in the spotlight.
Shout out to Dregs. He’s gonna do well. He knows his History. It’s refreshing. We need him in the City. Thank you Dregs.
Louie Loc a Legend
Louie looks like an old school Italian mobster
Don Cisco was so dope to me. Aka Cisco the Frisco Mac. He had that album OH Boy and had that song Take me Higher on 17 reasons. He’s out of the Excelsior District. He was signed to Universal records . He was huge up and down the west coast. I guess they don’t mention him because he wasn’t a Norteno. He’s a dope MC. Shout out to Most Vicious.
People don’t mention people they are in competition with & don’t want to admit it, that’s all
@@Calichicana True
Another great interview from a legend. 🙏🙏🙏💯
Louie Loc is a true MC, very clever wordplay, a large multitude of flows, great timing. There are very few cats in the Bay who can top that.
His Life With Louie album is a classic in my book. Great to see the combination of true lyricism and bay area mob beats.
Respect Louie and Dregs for making this interview happen! Shout out from Amsterdam!
Very well said. I love his passion, freestyle and story telling skills. Hella Dope!

@@king_oxj I live in L.A. now, since the Summer of 2019. Louie knows me from Lake County, as he came up and did some shows in about 2017 or so. I miss being able to at least be close enough to come visit more often.
@@king_oxj I first learned of Louis Loc from the 17 Reasons Compilation. It is one of, or possibly the best bay rap Compilation.
@@truthoverfacts9254 Yeah, I feel you. I don't know what side of the Lake you're from, but they're definitely fixing up Clearlake the last few times I visited. It's a nice place, just not many opportunities for the youth.

What's with the lame upside down logo? I see those all the time now. Looks corny. Everyone got upside down or backwards logo's. Worst thing is I first saw that with cowboys shit. That not the franchise I wanna copy.
