The amount of dead zerglings in this mission is simply astounding. At some point it almost felt like playing SC2 coop Stukov with all those replaceable units and tons of minerals. Zergliciding throughout the whole mission on the way to victory
Infested terrans are for the the static-defense subgame. The friendly-fire splash damage makes them inefficient for defense and extremely poor for pure army engagements, but they absolutely shine against bunkers, cannons, and sunken colonies. SC1 campaigns are all about how well you are able to deal with static defense, and zerg gets some of the best units for it with the guardian and infested terran. Also, queens. Even the most entrenched siege tank position will fall to a small number of queens with Spawn Broodling.
I haven't seen the video yet, but I have a bad feeling Lowko has no idea how infested Terrans attack in Starcraft Remastered... :O Let the fun commence!
Yeah, when he started to say "I kinda want an expansion here" I was like what? why? he just can't get out of StarCraft II mode, where you spend literally the entire match searching for expansions.
So, there is a vote for killing the next objective with Queen's spawn broodling skill. Any votes for killing the objective with drones? At the very least, there's a combat.
Think of Infested Terrans as Starcraft 1's Baneling-like suicide bombers. Well, slow Banelings. That's how you use them. But they also deal splash friendly fire damage, unlike Banelings.
I've definitely screwed this mission up multiple times. The key is taking expansions, building, pushing, etc. Yes mass zergling sacrifice is affordable if you never mine out. This, and the next mission, I've finished after several hours of being whittled down to a queen and a defiler. Not recommended.
are you also doing sc2 camp? i love to watch you play. so pro hope we could play together. im new at sc2 been watching your tutorials also to get me start
It must suck to live at Korhal, it got razed by nuclear fire before the events of SC1 and then got invaded by the UED, Kerrigan, Reynor & violent street riots (SC2), Kerrigan again (SC2), the Taldarim (Nova covert ops), and all of that in what, 30 years?
Anyone else notice the Terran AI scan on the bottom left at 18:30? I'm curious as to why they would do that since the Zerg doesn't have cloaked units outside of the Lurker and you can't build them until the next mission
You can use it to augment distance siege tanks and other units sees to attack further. Or just to discover a part of the map that isnt known. Or because the ai isnt perfect and is looking for hidden units.
Kay... First time I'm popping in to watch this series, and in the beginning we see four people talking together. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that _Terrans_ talking, and working, with The Queen of Blades, aka Sarah Kerrigan when she was under the control of the Overmind? o_O How... Why?
Oh my sweet summer child you have never tried to save a few P buildings when bombarded by Guardians and BCs non-stop for 45 minutes in To Slay the Beast before have you?
Mission 9 with secret mission unlocked is the hardest. It feels like hard difficulty archievements in SC2. It is the only mission that I think about strategies and optimize build orders and micro hard.
When you consider the ridiculous amount of dmg Infested Terrans can dish out, the cost is justifiable. They can flatten defenses more efficiently and quickly than what you did here. It's a good trade-off overall.
If you used the infested terrans to destroy the bunkers and sunkun colony you could saved more units Infested terrans can whip out the defenses in 1-2 hits
Well I never try to micro in this mission. 10000 minerals at the beginning and super rich main and existance of expansions makes you already able to attack with 200 supplies constantly.
Put Infested terrans in Overlord. While you attack with other units, fly Overlord over and manually drop them while flying. You will carpet bombing the enemy, and clear them out very fast.
infested terrans do same damage as a nuke, although in smaller radius. it's like dropping 8 mini-nukes on top of enemy forces (and building) without waiting for the nuke launch timer.
it actually works against unsuspecting protoss army on ladder lol, especially with some non-drop'o'lord and infested terran eggs blocking the pathing and tanking damage Use the creep ability on normal overlord to create chaos and carpet bomb their entire army Not worth it but it's pretty fun to play with
Normally you use infested Terrans to destroy static defences, rarely to defeat a big bunch of strong units. Remember infested Terrans oneshots everything and do splash damage.
The moment Lowko said that he would use the infested terran defensively... a small part in me died :-( In your base is litterally the last place you want those bombs
Infested Terrans are basically banelings that deal friendly fire damage. That's why banelings don't deal friendly fire in SC2, because they'd be a nightmare to micro. :D
All units that deal AoE actually do friendly fire in SC1....my guess that was the only way to program that-ability deals damage to the area, not specific units.
Most splash attacks only deal damage to enemies and allied player units caught in the AoE. Only Spider Mines, sieged-up Tanks and Infested Terrans deal friendly fire damage to one's own units (and Spider Mine damage does not affect buildings, of course).
In one of the next missions you have to kill a hero (you will know which one, i just dont want to spoiler) PLS KILL HIM WITH QUEEN BROODLINGS! That makes the Dialogue INCREDIBLE funny! (doesnt change it, but the context is awesome with that!) Everyone, pls vote up so he sees this! Edit: i know this is quiet late, but i changed the sentences a little, sry for the spoiler >w
Hey lowko, here’s a cool little trick I found, if a unit (such as hydra) has a spell like irradiate on it, if you morph it, it’ll cancel the irradiate, heal sed unit, and you’ll have a lurker/guardian at your disposal.
Too bad you seem not to have actually tried that trick. Morphing does not cancel irradiate. But Larvae, Eggs and Lurker Eggs are immune to the damage. Cocoons not, though, so morphing an irradiated Mutalisk into anything is just a giant throw-away of resources.
Freakling BWMN I actually tried it in the campaign, but i guess I didn’t understand it enough since I found out about it only recently, so thx for the clarification.
"I don't want to lose too many units here" *has been sending hundreds of zerglings to their deaths all game and is sitting on 8k minerals and 1k gas* Are you sure about that?
And here comes scenario cheating. TBH, in SC2 it was always a problem, but still. So exactly how Kerrigan have enough forces to go to KMC territory - sovereign goverment which has a very little part in a Brood War, by the way, they have an untoched fleet - to their capital world, after that strike at UED main staging area on Korhal (where is around 1 million UED soldiers plus zerg forces), and after that - defeat her allies, and after that defeat an Atlas wing strike force on Tarsonis? Since UED controls the Second Overmind there's simply no way she and her one (ONE) Cerebrate can have that much of the forces.
And it's still a one Cerebrate who's, considering he sided with Kerrigan and he don't know that he will die without Overmind power anyway, young and stupid. Even if he's not, he's definetly not as nearly powerful as Daggoth, and Daggoth is the New Overmind. So at the poorest situation possibility for UED (and that is not the case) they have ~0.5-1 billions of zerg on Korhal. Kerrigan's forces are far outnumbered and outgunned.
How could you know, how many zergs the UED was possible to transport to Korhal? Yeah, Kerrigan hasen't nearly the much, but she can concentrate her army much more effecient! And Mengsk and Fenix also has reasonable forces on korhal to split the UED army.
And how many zergs Kerrigan was possible to transport to Korhal? It's the UED who have hundreds of captured and their own battlecruisers with also Daggoth's overlords, and Kerrigan still have only one Cerebrate with only as much as he can control amount of overlords. Mengsk and Fenix having reasonable forces? You're kidding me, Mengsk just escaped from Korhal with some kind of miracle, he have no source of military support except for Raynor, and Fenix's forces consisting of what remains of defenders of Warp Gate on Ajur. Even if they somehow have a significant force, Kerri instantly after batteling the UED defeats them without much troubles. And that was her Zerg who led the assault and suffered the most losses during the battle. So their forces were enough to fight UED - basically, the most powerful faction in sector at current moment - but not enough to fight Kerrigan? UPD: How could i know? I can count. Tiamat brood's forces (Daggoth's one) were around 6.5 billions zerg. Since UED have two main staging areas - Char and Korhal - it is vise to transport as many Zerg as possible to Korhal (and Du-Galle is a best UED admiral, as it said in description of The Iron FIst, so he's not an idiot). With large amount of overlords and battlecuisers available, he can easily outnumber Kerrigan's one and only forces deployment on Korhal with a single transport action.
29:51 Lowko: "So apparently she does live up to her words there, and indeed Mengsk is once again the Emperor..." You... you do know that we're talking about _the_ Sarah Kerrigan. As in, the _Queen of Blades._ Right?
Ling spamming can be surprisingly ineffective against many defenses. Adding just a few ultras for tanking, however, can improve their survivability dramatically.
question lowko, do you have a razar mous ? i'm watch you use all control groups just be using the keyboard? if you get razar mous with 12 side buttons you wont have that much of problem anymore ?
Never realised how many references to other franchises the developers hid in their game - this map alone features a sarlaac and what appears to be the remains of a sand worm from Dune
The amount of dead zerglings in this mission is simply astounding. At some point it almost felt like playing SC2 coop Stukov with all those replaceable units and tons of minerals.
Zergliciding throughout the whole mission on the way to victory
"I want to keep the Ultra alive" (Leaves him all alone to die)
literally more potent than banelings, uses them for defense. Lowko ?
Yeah throw those things at the bunkers

Infested terrans in SC1 are basically like super strong banelings
yep
Has 10 k minerals*
Rushes workers*
Yeah, when he started to say "I kinda want an expansion here" I was like what? why? he just can't get out of StarCraft II mode, where you spend literally the entire match searching for expansions.
seriously, this guy is a bonehead
That weird hole in the beginning is a reference towards starwars probably
So, there is a vote for killing the next objective with Queen's spawn broodling skill.
Any votes for killing the objective with drones? At the very least, there's a combat.
Drone deals 5 damage. Fenix has 5 armor. So basically it is like killing a 800 hp larva with marines. lul
孙林可 Because it deals no damage I'd assume.
Hunter Killer In starcraft, any damage lower than target's armor deals 0.5 damage.
Kerrigan, call off your... drones? You're attacking with drones . . .
Having 3 infested command centers and he dosent get the hint, what a great way to miss play the map and make it take 3 times as long
Yeah, Lowko is famous for being blind on obvious things, and it really starts bugging me...
You should watch the video where he kills all of his Terran reinforcements because he didn't know they were his. :D
Still waiting the moment when Lowko will spam-click any critter in SC1... I just wanna see his reaction!
3:17 Appears to be a Sarlacc pit, next to the corpse of a Sandworm of Arrakis. Quite the cross overs!
It's time to STORM SOME FRIENDLY TERRANS
Lowko's just like, "Why micro when I can just macro"
27:39 nice impression of the Zerg guardian
Next mission: Kerrigan at her most conniving and badass. CANT WAIT!!!!
hmmm idk if its good idea to bring inf terrans in the same group with your other forces... we shall see 🤣
why do you play the campaign game like multiplayer?
Think of Infested Terrans as Starcraft 1's Baneling-like suicide bombers. Well, slow Banelings. That's how you use them. But they also deal splash friendly fire damage, unlike Banelings.

Lowko I was wondering why you didn't build some nydus to reinforce your peeps.
thats how the URSS won WW2
you know.... looking at the money you had at the beginning and the map shape, I was hoping you went and do the mass sunken colony slow push.
I am pretty sure that broodlings are likely the smallest units in this game.
Guardians and mutas are key this mission
... and put parasite on neutral creep with queen. easy scout.
#zerglinglifematter
But the Terran swarmed you ...
Kay... First time I'm popping in to watch this series, and in the beginning we see four people talking together. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that _Terrans_ talking, and working, with The Queen of Blades, aka Sarah Kerrigan when she was under the control of the Overmind? o_O How... Why?
Because she's not under the Overmind's control. The Overmind is dead, and the one now under UED control is too young/doped up to overpower Kerrigan.
Newer trust a Zerg woman.

next: the hardest mission.
Missions 8 and 10 are the hard ones.
Oh my sweet summer child you have never tried to save a few P buildings when bombarded by Guardians and BCs non-stop for 45 minutes in To Slay the Beast before have you?
8 BY FAR of the most.. Too bad it can be cheesed though, shhh, don't tell that to Lowko :)
Mission 9 with secret mission unlocked is the hardest. It feels like hard difficulty archievements in SC2. It is the only mission that I think about strategies and optimize build orders and micro hard.

Wow, what an idea... I wish I knew it 10 years ago :D
Zerg B-52 squadron, incoming!
I'm going to fire up Brood War tonight and try this... lol

RIP Peace Treaty Marine
(2017 - 2017)
A true pacifist, a true hero. May he rest in peace. Or in pieces.
He's the hero the Korprula sector needs. But not the one they got.
He was actually supposed to join you on the mission.
When
Lowko is really really good at making these missions as hard as possible for himself...
AFAIK firebats don't deal friendly fire to your own units, but do deal friendly fire to teammates' units in team games.
Same with lurkers
No, firebats, lurkers, and reavers do not friendly fire.
Most splash attacks only deal damage to enemies and allied player units caught in the AoE.
Only Spider Mines, sieged-up Tanks and Infested Terrans deal friendly fire damage to one's own units (and Spider Mine damage does not affect buildings, of course).
lowko really likes playing campaigns like multiplayer, focusing on 1 build as if you can't easily make everything
*WE WANT OVERMIND ANNOUNCER GOD DAMNIT*
Read this with the awesome deep overmind voice
I definetly Missed the Overmind's voice.
TheVocalTune queen is fine, overmind is dope, and lore wise they ve the mean to re introdice his voice
This was truly the episode of Lowko sacrificing everything, poor zerglings :'(
Calls Firebats Hellbats #triggered
In one of the next missions you have to kill a hero (you will know which one, i just dont want to spoiler) PLS KILL HIM WITH QUEEN BROODLINGS!
That makes the Dialogue INCREDIBLE funny! (doesnt change it, but the context is awesome with that!)
Everyone, pls vote up so he sees this!
Edit: i know this is quiet late, but i changed the sentences a little, sry for the spoiler >w
Laetificat Noooooo that would be so boring XD
And kerrigan response after that would be much more funny
The tradition is to kill Fenix with Spawn Broodlings. I do it every time I run the campaign!
I don't remember there being a difference, could you elaborate?
are you having a Mandela effect moment? I just tested it, twice, and the reaction is identical no matter how you kill said hero.
Any one, i got hard question, why the hell he didn't use ultras ? any teories ?
SC2 has a few maps with a similar landscape layout. The first Artifact mission, as well as a later one where you have to outpace an incineration.

Lowko: "So apparently she does live up to her words there, and indeed Mengsk is once again the Emperor..."
You... you do know that we're talking about _the_ Sarah Kerrigan. As in, the _Queen of Blades._ Right?
She indeed kept her words: retaking Korhal for Mengsk. That's all in the deal. The deal didn't say she cannot... well, do something else afterwards.
mwehehehehe.... right... _afterwards..._
Hypernoid 01 *stab*
imagine if lowko dint found that last turret the wont end and that last turret is the last UED defence lol
3:16 is this Starwars Easter egg or something?
That's what I always thought.
Looks like a Sarlacc pit.
There's a Dune sandworm corpse in other maps, as well.
+Fuchsia 'tude Really? I havent noticed.
omg i was searching in the comment section for at least one of these comments

I don't wanna lose my units
*Flies guardians into scourge*
16:32 i just feel bad for that guy, nvm its dead
Defilers and ovy drops are good vs seige tanks
*That's a lot of damage*
3:16 anyone know what that actually is? Hint: it's in the 3rd part of the greatest Trilogy in Cinema!
a f*** sarlac pit
Andre Velarde I thought his reaction was funny😂
Can u plz make an intro lowko and play liberaty of wings an do the last missions on heart of the swarm on sc2
